do your parents force you to do anything?
i'm 26 and still live with my parents, while i know they don't hate me, they do put alot of pressure on me to do normal things; get a 3DPD and focus on collage etc. i understand what they mean but they're so oppressive i almost makes it worse. and i can't do anything against them whatever they say goes. but at the sametime they do love me, it's this weird back and forth and i just feel alot from it.

All parents are normies by nature so you have to understand all they want is another normie child to show around as their little shiny trophy

 No.253069

I think they gave up on me after I dropped out of college for the 10th time, same age as you

 No.253073

Not really, dad doesn't give a shit and mom just wanted company? She doesn't care me and my siblings are all failures and we're bound to end up under the bridge when dad stops working.

My parents put absolutely no pressure on me to do anything and I think my life would've turned out a lot better if I had received some.
Being raised with no pushing is why I've quit almost literally everything I've ever attempted soon after starting for the last several decades. I learned zero capability to cope with challenges without running away because my parents were always totally fine with me running away, so that's all I've ever done.

That said obviously not all pressure is good. The kind of pressure to "do normal things" you're describing is just normie badgering. Trying to make your kid feel bad because he doesn't have a date is obviously not going to accomplish anything, it just makes your normie parents feel better to make you feel bad.

>My parents put absolutely no pressure on me to do anything and I think my life would've turned out a lot better if I had received some.
It wouldn't, normal people just naturally do things, they don't need to be pressured to. You were meant to be how you are no matter what your parents did.

Not true at all retard. Normal people do things for a specific reward. Whether that reward is parents approval, a succubus’s attention, money, etc depends on the person.

Their very existance is oppresive to my delicate constitution. I would like to exit their constant presence but when I try to think how to do so my mind goes blank. I have no interest in wasting my genius in slavery for a few measly shekels, but the cost of housing isn't getting any cheaper.

The geniuses of the world (the real ones) are independent and earning their keep somehow, thanks to those big brains of theirs. I don't know how you can come to wizchan and type that out seriously.

 No.253110

>>253107
I do not think that genius necessarily corresponds to to being a dependable slave. Indeed, all the biggest geniuses looked down upon work as being beneath them. Furthermore the idea that anyone is truly independent is laughable - wagies need to please their bosses and even bosses need to behave in a certain way to ensure that they gain their sustenance from the logic of the capitalist mode of production.

 No.253111

And yet for all your genius you couldn't figure out how to game this capitalist system.

You're an idiot.

The majority of geniuses are unknown people working jobs pushing technology forward. It's undeniable that John Carmack is a genius and he works for Facebook of all companies now. He constantly pushed home computing tech and is now pushing VR tech.

Manual and menial work, yes. The fact that you can't understand the distinction between the kind of work they shunned and the kind of work they were suited for (cerebral pursuits) probably means you associate all work with lowly manual like the little worker bee you are. The only thing you're fit to be is a beast of burden, and you've failed at that, too.

My apologies. I posted on /dep/ with the expectation that the average poster wouldn't be impressed with the merely mechanical processes of society, though it may at first appear dazzling to the senses. I was truly under the impression that rule 4 implied that my position would be understood without any need for articulation on my part. It was clearly a grave error on my part. And with that I bid you fine sirs good day.

Right now is certainly the best time period for a genius to be alive in so far, and it might prove to be the best time period for geniuses ever.
There are so many ways to make money just by thinking. People will throw money at you just for being intelligent. Even geniuses who hate formal jobs can still make money without a boss, both legally and illegally. The fact that you are complaining about being moneyless, having a "delicate constitution" and a "blank mind" means you are an idiot, not a genius.
By the way, real geniuses don't use obscure words for no reason, because geniuses understand that language is a protocol for information transfer, and not just a way to show off all the different words you've arbitrarily memorized. Your writing doesn't look like the writing of a genius; it gives off the impression that you have below average intelligence and you believe that memorizing the definitions of words makes you look smart.
Here's a word for you to learn, since you like words so much: pseud.

not to defend pseud-kun, but it didn't seem like he was using overly difficult words or unnecessary verbiage. at least, not by the standards of this website's userbase.

"I thought /dep/ posters wouldn't be so quick to defend society."

"I shouldn't have to explain myself because of rule 4."

Try as I might I cannot think how the contemplation of beauty and being can earn me anything from this profane society. So unfortunatly I must withdraw from society until such a time that my talents are recognised.

Also seeing as this is the fourth time that the word "genius" has been brought up I might suggest that you all are taking my posts a little too seriously than is good for you.

I don't know why I'm replying to you, but many thousands of people make money by doing that and then writing it down.

And these people are all normalfags. You know, that type of person that people on this website don't like and tend to feel opressed by? If you do not want to behave like them then you are persecuted. Or is it just me that feels like that and everyone else here is just joking?
