I've started a new modded Terraria playthrough in expert mode. If anyone is interested, join the steam group at https://steamcommunity.com/groups/eventv
Pirated clients should be fine as long as you have a steam account and Terraria 22.214.171.124 (or thereabout) with tModLoader 0.11.7.4. I'm still working out a better way to connect but steam should do for now. The mods will download automatically if you try connecting through tmodloader.
By the way, I'd be down to let anyone build with item spawns in a restricted area, if you're interested in that instead of a normal playthrough.
the new update weather misc really adds to the game
I've already done a playthrough on 1.4 and all the little changes and polish are nice, but I wish they'd focused on adding more content instead. I'm having more fun with a modded 1.3 because it has at least another game's worth of content in it.
Damn wizzie, and I thought my 300+ hour late game house was neat. Also beats any shit usually presented as "superb artistic house design in terraria must see XD".
Sorry I can't join you, the game's completely worn out for me after having painstakingly beaten it last year on expert difficulty with item drop on death.
the final update just came out and added an entire harder difficulty rating
I know, I even considered beating it again but thought I'd either go bored halfway through, or ragequit on one of the bosses. That said, there's also that one character option making their death permanent, so it's not like I claim to have conquered the hardest difficulty there is or anything.
Here's a screenshot from my playthrough (Steam won't let me enlarge it for some reason).
rotmg was p neat tbh
OP here, I've played RoTMG a bit, got 142 hours on steam. I've actually reinstalled and played a bunch of times a few weeks ago, but unfortunately it's pointless if you're not willing to sink any money into it. Would be nice to have a game like it not based on microtransactions
Feel free to post any of your own builds that you might want to show off. No one seems to be interested in playing so we could at least use this thread for that; I'd like to see what other wizards are building
OP here, still up to play if anyone wants to
game looks fun but too time consuming and intimidating to get into
I just started this or late last month and I got to the first boss. I play hardcore and I've only died to those bosses, the optional slime boss and the crimson/corruption boss. Other than that this game has been so linear. Is it supposed to be this linear? I also have trouble finding tons of ores for armor despite looking in the caves and as deep as I can go. I had a combination of silver and gold armor last run before I died to the crimson boss. I'm doing this mostly without the wiki as well so I might be doing something wrong. I kind of get bored doing the same things for my runs even though I am definitely getting way better.
I never manage to build nice houses like that. It's usually just a few spread out rooms and maybe I'll connect them with a roof when there's many or I just build my base underground
