So if i know C++ and use SDL2 i can do better than it, at the cost of boilerplate code? Anyway programming and even art, especially pixel art like in this case is rather easy compared to music synthesis.
I can waste an entire day and write 500-1000 sloc, i can do the most simplistic sprites by painting normally at a large scale then shrink to the desired size and patch it afterwards, but i can't get into music at all, i have no talent. How are you going to make the music?
