I don't think Persona 3 is a very mainstream game. If you ask a normal gamer if they know what ps5 is they might know but they most likely know very little or even nothing about ps3. IDK maybe I am wrong
Persona 1 and 2 maybe, but Persona 3 is absolutely mainstream.
Maybe if you ask a gaming "journalist" they would know but if you ask a normal gamer that plays skyrim and final fantasy or something like that would they really know? Mabye ps3 was more popular than I thought I did not play it when it first came out. my first play though was in 2014-2015 something like that.
Never played this. The only game I played in the series was the third game.
Isles of Terra is probably better than 2 on genesis just because of how streamlined it is. 2 just has stronger nostalgia vibes for me because it's the first CRPG I ever played.
The world map has some neat encounters. ulillillia has done videos showing how to speedrun/max out on it
if you're going to play it only the genesis version of 2 is good
persona is more mainstream than smt and dragon's dogma
yeah I probably should have put a pic of SMT 3 instead of persona 3
Gothic 1 and 2. If Skyrim counts then the games that did everything Skyrim did but a decade earlier deserves a mention.
Lol persona, you think you are so unusual and unique……
Anyways for me trials of mana
Arena is 94
daggerfall is 96
gothic 1 is 2001
The gothic devs explicitly said that they had elder scrolls series for an influence.
The port of the first one on NES is broken to a nearly unplayable degree but I love that piece of shit to death
they give you more freedom than most jrpgs i can think of
pathologic 2, no more heroes
I don't know if those count as RPG, good games though
Kingdom come: deliverance.
I really enjoyed the game hybrid heaven.
It's unlike anything else I have ever played and one of the very few jrpg I have actually played all the way through to completion.
