Parasite, a Korean movie. The movie was decent but there were quite a few people at the theater and they would chat and eat garbage during the screening. I feel like I spent money just to be irritated. I'll won't be going to the movies anytime soon. Anywhere you have to share space with other people is not worth it, really. Movie theaters, restaurants, sports venues and the like. Pretty much the only service I like where you have to share space with other people is transportation. Still I would prefer the subway to be empty.

Thinking about getting a couple dumb books from a YouTuber I regularly watch.

Also wondering about getting a audible membership because I feel like I will probably run out of good quality free audiobooks soon, and I find LibriVox recordings more often then not kind of shit.
I a willing to pay for quality, as a good audiobook will entertain me longer and more thoroughly then most movies or video games, with the additional benefit of being something I can enjoy at work or while commuting.

If I find a good deal I will probably get it since they seem the best of the payed services.

The Boox Note Pro 7.8. It's an e-ink Android reader/tablet that doesn't have good Google Play store support, but is a very wizardly experience:
>can into browse the web (best of eink, which ain't saying much)
>this model has no mic or speakers, so it will never make any damn noise, as a bonus it can't eavesdrop on you
>there's a pen for note-taking in the company's apps only, really
>It supports bluetooth, if sound is needed
>it doesn't have 5g wifi, so we aren't talking high-end here.

Mostly for reading, Boox devices are the best the best the best at PDF reading.

My reason to get this is because
1. I have adhd so I get distracted by stupid fucking videos and shit
2. But I'm really lazy so I won't get out of a chair if I'm in one, so I can trick myself into wasting less time by excluding fancy contraptions that feature nonsense colors and videos and skanky lasses

>it literally can't into videos

>it literally can't distract with violent & other images, since images are very boring in black & white

Also, it's easier on the eyes. If you turn the backlight off (it features orange, blue and blended) you have zero refresh, when viewing in the sun. Like no hz, no entrainment, glorious zero bullshit, just the fucking information.

he's telling the truth. It's definitely being done, constantly. But they're losers. That's the funny part. A system, so complex, with ingenious aspects and formulas. But retarded, fundamentally. Look at London. Their genius system let out a guy who was in prison already for terrorism. They let him out, he commits terrorism. They're tha fucking retarded. Like, one guy with a fucking kitchen knife, the whole nation grinds to a hault. I think he could have taken half the country with a slightly pointy spoon. They're stupid, they think they're geniuses, but they're stupid. Like banning 8chan pol, it was literally their only way to find out that domestic terror was about to happen. That was it, the only way (because the psychology of non-kikes and non-faggots is very "lone wolf" anyway). And they cut themselves off from their only source. Like fucking Tarrant, let me tell you something, I chatted with him on pol, he had a thread before he went on his attack, it had the same stupid image in it, and I made a suggestion, but didn't realize he was violent. But at other times I think I had conversations with him. he was super angry, and my position was that shootings are basically pointless, because nothing really results from it, either way, like they don't take the guns, and the right wing isn't advanced either. It has the appearance of action, but it just results in blind retarded gonzern on the part of boomers. But imagine that, so the system had a chance to stop him, here's a fucking clue, he posted a manifesto… like MONTHS before the attack. He also was obviously EXTREMELY angry (more angry than 99% of the other people on pol). But their "genius" systems didn't even pick him up?!

So don't really worry about them. Sure, they might kill you, but what is the body to man? What matters is the soul, and to live a virtuous life, damned be the consequences!

it seems not tangential, but the thing at essence. A tangent is "you sound dumb" or "you're mentally ill". Regardless, one can address the nature (philosophically) of such an entity, should it exist (I think such do - there is evidence of the adl gangstalking, in the series produced for al jazeera - I forget the name, it hardly matters, they stalk people like students who support BDS etc. to keep the yankbuks flowing into israel). The core question is, those things which may be as an adversary, working in darkness and by art great, how great is their art? Not very. They are idiots. They lose 0 dimensional checkers - routinely. Usually I use a 5-bladed handle razor but sometimes I let my scalp-hair get too thick and it ends up taking several hours in the tub to shave it. With this I can easily cut through it before-hand on my own without having to pay $20 to some barber as I was doing before.

I'm assuming from the fact that it has a power button that the things on the sides are clipper blades and then the middle part is a razor blade, The little squares probably have sharp edges. I think the clipper blades are for long hairs and the middle part is the actual razor, unless all those little squares are just a decoration. Idk how it could be called a razor if they weren't though because the stuff on the sides doesn't look like it would get close enough.

The diagonal grid about the center is completely decorational. If it isn't a sticker - because I can't quite tell that it is - it may aswell be.

The teeth with green-tips along the edges comb the hair and still closer to the edge just underneath the teeth are what I guess are the "electric clippers", which look like sharp, tiny blades that buzz when the power button is pressed.

It takes relatively large doses in the form of a overdose before physical effects are really measurable.

Got some giftcards for Christmas and was trying to figure out how to spend them. I considered buying PC parts or console games but I don't really care about most games requiring high specs and the libraries for PS4 and Xbox One suck (everything is either generic uninteresting western shit or already available as a PC port). Then I remembered those classic consoles that were released a while ago and thought about buying the Playstation and SNES ones since you can easily jailbreak and load games onto them, but the Playstation Classic apparently performs like shit and the SNES Classic was around $180, which is fucking ridiculous IMO. Also thought about buying the accessories needed to boot ISOs from a hard drive for the PS2 so I could play games on it rather than having to use PCSX2, which is slow for a lot of games (Steambot Chronicles in particular runs like molasses so I haven't been able to play it despite wanting to) but I didn't feel up to dealing with the FreeMcBoot stuff, plus everything online was expensive and had garbage ship times so I'd be better off buying it at a store.

In the end I just bought some earbuds (lost my old pair several months ago but was too cheap to buy new ones) and a bunch of books I couldn't find epub/MOBI versions or good PDF scans of.

 No.234580

Where did you look? I've found Cambridge and Oxford editions both in epub and perfect scanned pdf files of all Kant's works, several editions of Montaigne's Essays, Deleuze and Wittgentstein. Didn't even have to look that hard, found them on libgen, mobilism forum and on #bookz. Didn't bother to look for the other ones when I so easily find the ones I did look.

Good rule of thumb is if the author is dead and he has a wikipedia page you're very likely to find his works in decent formats somewhere. I didn't even had to look for Montaigne and Kant really, philosophers of that caliber will definitely have a whole bunch of decent editions freely available online.

ZLibrary or whatever. I did find good pdfs for Kant and Montaigne but I'm not a fan of the way Kindle handles PDFs and conversion usually butchers them, plus hard copies are easier to flip through and take notes for, which I wanted especially for Kant. For the rest I was looking for specific translations but I might've just missed some or been too lazy to download and check every one. If it was on my own money I would've looked harder or just dealt with the PDF versions but I didn't care that much and there was nothing else I wanted to buy.

Got a new mechcanical keyboard. The first one that I actually owned.
Just got tired of having normal keyboards falling apart and not being able to repair them.
Mech keyboards are easy and stright foward to repair and known to last longer then the computer.

I was afraid that I would find the click clack of the keys to be annoying but it is actually pretty satisfying to use. And the shape of the keys is really nice. It has a really faint glow so I can play games with weird key combos in the dark no problem.

Was like 40 bucks and well worth it. Hope I get to enjoy it for many years to come. It is actually pretty heavy duty with a metal base plate. I have a good feeling about it's durability and reparabllity.

once any portion of the presure board goes it can't be repared and the whole thing needs to be replaced because each key isn't a separate switch. It is just one whole circuit board with no redundancy. For example if one key shorts out it using kills the whole board.

With a mech keyboard each key has its own individual switch that can be replaced as needed rather then having the whole interconnected board going bad or not being able to repair it because a portion is dead.

Seriously look at the difference of internals and you will see what I mean.
I mean you can literally rebuild by hand every portion of a mechanical board from easily sourced parts. Plus every part is of better quality and meant to last much longer to begin with.
It is from a design perspective and upgrade.

>"shit quality"
this is nothing but your subjective term, the only way to judge quality is after an analysis of the materials involved in something + the context in which it's used

a normal keyboard that just sits on a desk isn't lesser than your "mech" keyboard, the things work for years and years, so I don't know what your gripe is, unless you're one of those people that punches your keyboard and cums on it

btw when are you going to fix your problem with then and than? they're different words

 No.235005

Now you are making non-arguments.
Keyboards don't just sit there. they are used, and through use shit quality keyboards break down in multitude of ways. Usually relatively quickly with heavy use.
A high quality keyboard is one that continues to function after long heavy use, with any repairs needed being simple since any failure is isolated.

It is clear in you resorted to completely unsubstantiated insults, nitpicking, grammar, and other non-arguments, that you have nothing of value to say on the subject.

I will be ignoring any replies from you from this point on, as you have made it clear that you are just seeking a emotional reaction of some sort. For what reason I don't know.

Just ordered this for $30. It's 5 inches tall. Still hasn't arrived. First glass piece I've bought in years. My main pipe now is a sidecar bubbler similar to this except bigger and nicer. You should start mentally preparing for when that piece ultimately falls over and breaks. The center of gravity on that thing is horrifying since normally the female adapter port is placed opposite the tube you inhale from for balance.

Without a really nice high friction rubber mat designed specifically for the safeguarding and prevention of tipping/being pushed over then I would bet money on that thing breaking within 6 months.

I hate the joint being placed opposite the mouthpiece, especially when it's lower than the main body. Then you have to go hunting for whatever you put in it instead of it being right there no matter the orientation of the pipe. The key to sidecar bubblers like this is to have a heavy base. I'm guessing the base on this one is nowhere near heavy enough, but I can add weights to the base to make it more stable if it needs it.

Then stuff like cases and the like is also available.

So far when it comes to electric stuff I ain't trying to record quality stuff and just messing around because it's fun so I just use my headset mic and send it directly to whatever audio program I am using. Sounds kinda shitty but it gets the job done with stuff I already have.
If I wanted to actually do a full on project like a album then I would invest in slightly better audio equipment.

Kazoos arrived and I am so happy.

A few were a bit disappointing but most were great.

I guess I will start with the bad first. One of the ones I ordered was a wood kazoo. Honestly it barely vibrates and because the turret is pressed in I can't really remove it and mess with the membrane to see if I could get better sound out of it. So that one is just going to sit on my shelf I guess because I nearly blew my voice out trying to get the membrane to vibrate and still got subpar results. Little better then singing through a wood tube.
The other disappointment was the replacement membranes. I tried them out because they have such good reviews but after trying them I simply am not impressed. I prefer the sound profile I my homemade membranes. Thankfully they were super cheap in price so I don't really care.

Next up is the good.
The gold kazoo is stunning and I can't wait to build a displace case for it. The bad thing is I tried to play it before reading the note inside. Tasted and smelled like a cardboard album cover that was found in a thrift store that was taken from a old guy's basement after he died.
Turns out the particular one I got was from 1976, and the cardboard ring around the membrane had dry rotted quite a bit and the adhesive probably long since started to decompose.
So yeah, might want to replace that if I want to play it again in the future. For now it will look glorious and be a collector's item as intended.

I also got a Clark large original tin kazoo that was actually made with the same die press that the first mass produced kazoos were made with. The larger size makes it just perfect and feel so comfortable during extended playing. Only thing I didn't like about it is the membrane it came with wasn't quite to my liking. Wax paper that was a bit too tight under tension. Keep on having to "tune" the thing to vibrate properly and it wasn't consistent. So after a hour or so I swapped it out for one of my own and it now sounds just right. Which was super easy thanks to the well made screw off turret.

Next was the biggest surprise for me. The American made kazoobie kazoo. I honestly thought they were full of it when they were bragging about their kazoos being the loudest and buzzeist kazoos on the market. Boy oh boy were they not lying. I was actually startled by the blast the little plastic wonder produced. Unlike any other plastic kazoo I have ever used it had no dead spots within my vocal range nether low bass and throat singing or high falsetto. I do wonder how it will hold up since the turret is also pressed (apparently with 1 ton of force so their is really no way of opening it without damaging the kazoo) since once the membrane they have in there is done so is that kazoo. But they are relatively cheap so if I do blow it out I might get a whole bag full of replacements. Hell, could get a bag full of factory direct custom colored and printed ones if I really wanted to.
Great company with a great product. While it is a little much for what I normally play I might add it in for when I want to punch up certain parts or just feel like being extra loud for whatever reason.

The new tin and plastic kazoos are wonderful instruments that I hope to have fun with for years to come. The gold one is a beautiful artifact that makes me happy just looking at it. The wood one is almost useless but it has inspired me to take a shot at making my own wooden one because I am certain I could do a better job with minimal effort.
The cleaning brush works fine…
and the spare membranes are meh and I prefer the stuff I make myself way more.

Remember kids, probably shouldn't put your lips on things that are older then you by 10+ years unless you carefully check it first. The funk, it lingers even as I type this.

From what I remember it is also the same with the license and paying a hell of a lot of taxes.
In PA the a pack of cigs were $16 when I was last up there and NY they were $20, with all the added cost being tax. Basically any time the city or state whines about money they use it as a excuse to raise sin taxes buy a dollar.

To buy online in PA they actually make you fax, yes fax, all your info including state ID and SSI card as well as a bunch of forms to city, state, and federal agencies as well as the ATF and for some dumbass reason you have to pass a background check like it is a fucking gun or something.
And all that is for personal use. If you wanted to sell it you would then have to pay thousands to whatever city you lived in and hope that whatever district officer you operate in doesn't have a corrupt relationship with one of the other business in the area or they can just deny your application while keeping the fee without explanation.

I don't even smoke but I once ran a market stand at a mall and looked into possibly selling cigs but decided all the red tape wasn't worth it.

Most of the other places got their licenses grandfathered in from less restrictive times or used loop holes to avoid most of the bullshit but since I was a small time noob I would have had to deal with everything.
