Yea modern browsers are bloated memory hogs, even when just loading old sites that display the same plain text since 1999. It's as if Youtube and other sites got too big for their own servers so they cut a deal with browser devs to offload much of the processing to the end user's machine. Someone who just uses imageboards like this has no reason to upgrade beyond Firefox 5.6 or even whichever Internet Explorer came with Win7, whereas Youtube will warn you and eventually stop working if you're 5 or 6 versions behind in Firefox or Chrome

There's also Youtube-DLG. It's a GUI for Youtube-DL so you don't have to type anything and can qeue up like 6 million playlists

 No.262405

>>262401
you might benefit from so-called youtube proxies if you dont wanna bother copying and pasting and switch between programs to watch a video. for many you just put a prefix in front of youtube.com url, for example [nsfw]youtube.com, and you get directed to the raw video. im not sure if the problem is your browser eating ram, but playing the video file directly instead of using the youtube page should be less demanding

Thanks, someday i'll try it, there seems to be nothing but yt-dl itself in manjaro's appcenter, and right now i dont have the mental strength to learn appimage installation blackmagicfuckery.

>>262405
Tried some, although they seem fishy. Yeah, they may be lighter than a full YT page, but the browser is the main problem i guess.

Also, i constantly check system monitor, because if ram hits 1.6 the whole os freezes, lol.

I just made my first post on facebook in a news page and BTFO a succubus using something from her public profile, I wonder if she will reply, she was butthurt and replied to the news article post complaining that it wasn't important, another succubus tried to argue with her but she didn't have it and replied to her saying "who cares, I don't!".

okay while I was writing this she replied "same to you!! I know what that means" because I replied to her saying "Bakaaaaa Onee chan" with a screenshot of her fb that had an anime succubus photo and a description that read #anime #japan. I did this because she called a news about Japan's salaryman and the changes in their lives during this covid pandemic unimportant or irrelevant but this fb page is about economy and business so it is relevant.
Okay she replied one more time saying she doesn't care, fuckin dumb succubus giving their stupid opinion that are nothing but feelings, she probably got her period today, the stupid bitch got likes for posting literally "Who cares It's not important!!". Wizard types are less inclined to use discord because of all the zoomer bullshit that was going on including e drama.

I hear discord is getting cucked now but the good thing about discord was it was comparably safe and also you could make your own little servers with bots to help you have a fun time talking to a group whilst also being able to DM people easy.

I was watching kindgdom recently, (the one about MMA) and it made me realize that being a pro fighter is really the ideal job for me. You're basically unemployed and just work out all the time and then you put in 15 minutes of work and go fight some dude every couple of months and this allows you to say you're actually not unemployed. It's like the perfect scam. I think I'm gonna make a shot at it. I've seen the level of skill needed to make it to the big leagues and it's not that high.

Pre discord setting up your own group chat with multiple channels was quite difficult. You had to (pay for and) use mummble or team speak, give the server address and port. It was basic nerd stuff but that's still nerd stuff. Discord you click a button and you have a chat room and voice chat server, you can make several channels for different needs. And it's all free, where you can link someone and they can open it on a spyware install or use their browser (not sure how much that spies). So discord took off incredibly fast. Easy to use, good quality compared to other options and it just worked.. And now it's full of trannies asking pronouns when you check a server.

just bumped into my new neighbors who are femme. I think they're in their 20s, but I'm not sure because of the masks the government with the help of the police are forcing us to wear, but one thing is sure and that is they're petite, like 4'9 petite. They both look trashy, as the two of them have dyed hair and from what I seen they like to stay up all night playing loud music and being as noisy as possible. Both of them were in their pajamas, but the one who came downstairs to open the door was wearing an unpleasant strawberry perfume. I know this because she left the stairs with a tray of smell. The other succ who I think is her roommate or perhaps just a friend who visited her for the weekend was with her tall tattoed boyfriend, this succ in question had her hair partially dyed red.
I opened the door for them because I was entering, and the guy was the only one who thanked me while the succs kept silent, and then I saw them go. It annoyed me a bit to see this succ leaving in her pink pajamas and looking just like the pink panther, it felt like watching a freak dirtying the lifeless gray of the pavement, probably to buy something for breakfast.
Something tells me this succs gonna be trouble.

I dreamt it was the last day of school but it happened differently because in my dream I hadn't changed schools. After recess me and two other guys, one who was my friend back then and other who changed schools like me and whom I never liked because he was quite antisocial, were making plans. We were going to meet my friend at his house, and we wanted to save as much time as possible, but recess happened so fast that we barely talked, it was just a small conversation where we said we'd meet after school and that was it. It felt like I was being pushed into the future, and school ended at 12 am. I was really late to class and I thought it did not matter, since there was really no class, and so when I asked the teacher if I could come in I thought there would be no problem, but she ignored me and gave me a look of disgust and anger and dissapointment, but the class respected me or liked me for some reason, in real life, nobody gave a shit because in my new school I avoided everyone and didn't make friends, since by that time, everyone had already grown into a full normalfag and to befriend a normalfag or fit in among them, you have to be one yourself or at least like them. In the dream, the class stopped paying attention, not like they were much interested to begin with, to the teacher giving a talk, and I used that chance to ask with a firm voice if I could come in. She gave me permission, but I did not enter through the door, I did it through the window showing some athleticism, which was weird, but I guess that in my head, that was being defiant. I was someone different in this dream, more confident, but just as immature and confused, I could feel it. I could feel all these emotions I used to have back then, I was quite alive and yet knew myself as someone who had already been defeated by life but had decided to live out of curiosity and for the sake of it. I was anxious during that day, because the teachers hated me and I was afraid I was going to flunk. In real life, the last day of school felt somewhat refreshing.
It was a weird but interesting dream, because none of this happened in real life. In real life, I wasn't going to meet with anybody, I just went straight home. I still remember driving the bus back home, looking at the other group of kids from different schools, so happy because school had ended, and I was happy too, because I'd decided to take a gap year, and my parents had agreed to it. Now, that gap year became 7, and I never went to college or university. Life can be so funny.

She has a full motion capture suit for her whole body, motion capture gloves, a decent rig, and a facial recognition motion cap using a new iphone. From the description it was under $50k. Motion capped realistic models aren't out of reach for small companies these days. With those kind of models that stuff seems very viable. I think the AI really isn't anywhere near ready considering the products the AI companies offer to business and healthcare are still very poor. I am quite confused at the lack of progress around virtual waifus considering how much money people spend elsewhere on more degenerate things.

do yall get that slight hearing loss after a big nut? high pitch sounds gradually fade away and you are left with something strange… it's like you are listening to noise through a wall, it's not like the volume is simply lowered, it transforms the actual sound

does anyone know how i could achieve this effect in something like audacity? i was thinking while under the effect, i could play a bunch of tones at different pitches and subjectively score their clarity to build up a chart, which when compared to a normal chart, i could maybe apply the different to an audio sample via an equalizer setting

I don't know about America but in the UK that seems to work. There used to be a documentary on youtube showing lots of dudes from India who kept saying they had no passport; I think they claimed to be from Sudan or something where they couldn't be deported to as well. Maybe it was a country that wasn't accepting people back because they couldn't confirm who was a citizen. The police would arrest them, send them to the immigration court, and they'd just walk back out to the street.

If you could go back in time to any age and live your life again with the knowledge you have now, would you?

Assume that 99% of world history plays out the same way except for any changes you make to your personal life and those you know.

I've been debating that with myself over the past couple of weeks on my walks. On one hand, I could become a billionaire (not that I want to), but on the other hand, it was my failures that actually taught and inspired my siblings and neighbors to do better themselves. So if I don't make the humiliating mistakes, then they could do it and their lives will suffer. Is one person having a better life at the expense of 4 others better than me living my humiliating life and 4 others becoming better because of it?

I think I would go back in time to my tenth birthday, BUT I would continue to make the same mistakes until I am about 30. In fact, I would probably make better mistakes if that makes sense, so maybe they learn the lessons better. In the mean time, I would secretly correct a lot of bad things I've personally been doing that has left a lot of regret and pain, such as fix my bad diet, start lots of hobbies (especially drawing and piano), secretly invest in a few early stocks to make a bit of money once I get my part-time job, exercise, etc. I know now that desperately chasing succubi and friends is a waste of time, so I would probably be more of a "loner/loser" than the fool I was before. I also know that university was a hellish waste of time for me, so I would probably not take it seriously and invest all that extra time and money into improving myself, and money from the job I end up getting can go into stocks, land (secretly buy my neighbor's house) and bitcoin. Once I'm 30, most of my siblings and neighbors have become established in their successful lives, so then I can start to "come out" and live my own life, but hopefully retired and in better health and with more money and talent to enjoy things. The funny thing is, even in this scenario, I'm not sure I would bother with succs even if I had everything to my advantage. One of the great things about growing old is you are no longer controlled by your dick. If only I knew this way back then, so I would not have wasted so much time. As the saying goes, "youth is wasted on the young".

Your skin doesn't get burned just from passive heat, even in 100 degree F weather. You have to touch hot things or stay in the sun for that, both of which can be easily avoided. Contrast this with extreme cold weather, where you quickly suffer pain just by sitting in your room doing nothing, if the heat isn't turned up enough. And if you actually have to go outside the pain is immediate, especially if the wind is high.
As for computers, my laptop functions just fine in hot weather so long as I don't try to play graphically intensive games. Maybe you need to replace your thermal paste.

I guess it's like you said, a lot of people get into the hobby with Gundam stuff, so there will be a lot of shitty dioramas of it and poorly assembled models, but the very good ones are just as good as the ones people are doing with model tanks and battleships. In fact if you check some gunplan japanese channels on yt, there's a lot of overlap with gundam and military sets, it's possible the best military and gunpla stuff out there is actually made by the same person.

Now this is my personal taste but military models look terribly uninteresting to me. I guess there's just not enough fantasy to them for me to care. They look impressive but I don't feel like spending my time hoarding pictures of them like I do with Gundam dioramas. I guess that's the gunpla appeal for you.

>I've wanted to make a Gundam photo novel for years now but I've lost my modeling drive. I have 30 kits in my closet ready to build and I can't push myself to do it. It sucks.

Do you have any pictures of your stuff you can share? I would love to see some wizardly assembled models.

The top tier of Gunpla is on par with the military guys, there's a lot of cross over at that level. It's the lower tiers which suffer from low quality models. The average military tank builder will paint and maybe do a little weathering on their model. They will learn to paint figures to go with them and all that jazz. The average Gunpla builder will snap fit their kits and maybe panel line them. The kit I attached is an example of slightly above average because it has decades applied.

Gunpla dioramas at their best are great. The one you attached is awesome. There's another of a Zaku holding up a bridge which I really like. Due to the low skill ceiling in Gunpla more dioramas end up being sub par as well. It's frustrating because as you said, they have huge potential and look really cool.

Gunpla suffers some what because of it's English community being mostly on reddit, 4chan and weird facebook groups. It's slowly gaining mainstream modeling acceptance and Bandai star wars kits really opened the flood gates for people to try bandai kits and move into

Now, even if money is not a problem you probably should quit anyway. It's not about dying sooner, that's not important. The problem with smoking is that you'll feel like shit more often because of addiction and hardened lungs.

You do know that caloric densicty is a thing right?
A full pound of leafy greens has far less calories then a ounce of butter for example.
What you eat does in fact matter, since some foods are far easier to over eat then others.

You could in theory eat Mcdonalds and lose weight, but you will feel like shit, preform like shit, and be starving half the time.

Like most wizards I dislike suffering, so food choice is important if I want to lose weight again without feeling like shit all the time or feeling like I am starving.

PB&J has good macros and I can suplement with fruit to hit most micro nutrition, while being easy to meal prep.
My main consern is if the sandwitches will keep if made in bulk throughout the week or if they will turn into gross mush.
I guess I could freeze like those crustable things, but then I would have to time the thaw out of them.
Or try microwaving them, but that could also turn them into mush too.

For this to be a way to be lazy about meal prep it's seeming like there might be some experimentation involved.

You're right. I didn't advise you to eat Mcdonald's every day btw, I was just stating the most important fact about weight loss I guess.

I lost 45 pounds (20 kilograms) in a 8 or 9 months period 3 years ago. I found a calorie counter online and religiously recorded every single thing I had. I was trying very hard not go over 1k calories daily. It does the trick. I didn't really mind what I was eating to be honest, as long as at the end of the day I wasn't over 1k calories. That was my lazy approach to it. It was easier for me to have only the number at the end of the day to care about.

The only thing I actively avoided was soda because a single can of that can really put a dent on your 1k limit like nothing else. It wasn't too hard for me because I didn't really changed my diet all that much, I just reduced the quantities of everything.

 No.263220

>>263219
Wow, 1k calories is a pretty steep cut.

The lowest I can go for more then a few days is ~1700 before I start suffering negative effects. But I have a somewhat physical job and hobbies so that might be why.

Might be it. I was neet back then and my hobbies physically consist of clicking the mouse, so basically I burned as much calories as a potted plant pretty much. I had to cut very low because of that. The ideal calorie intake for me to lose weight at the time I believe the site suggested 1500s or so.
>Did you supplement with vitamins
Not at all. I'm also poor as fuck, I wouldn't spend any money on food supplements.
I don't think I need it anyway, my diet is pretty balanced I think. I also can't afford to spend on junk food, so that helps a lot, too.

Lord help me… I'm visiting my dad and drunk uncle. They think I have a job and a place to live when really I'm a neet who has been sleeping in an abandoned barn dowm the road. My dad left for the night because his sexual outlet was having withdrawls. My uncle went to bed. I told them both I'd be gone by 8pm to catch the bus home, ze.

What I really did was move my bag and laptop to the non-functional bathroom in the back room of this old farmhouse they live in. The toilet's been disconnected but the sink works. There's an electric oil heater here. The plan was to sit here until morning, giving my devices and battery packs a good charge while pirating some songs and anime with their Wifi to watch when I return to the barn.

Buy my uncle woke up, drunk, and is now watching TV in the back room. He's angry too, I heard him belittling the cat. There's a paper-thin temporary wall between us. The door is locked.

There is no way out. There is a good chance he will try to enter the bathroom to check the oil heater or piss in the sink. An equally good chance he will rip the door off its lock. My stuff isn't packed so I can't just jump outta window, and the floor is so squeeky and the floorboards go under the temp wall and under the couch (which isn't on legs) so he'd feel the vibrations. There's no way to pack up or even stand without startling the hoard. He keeps getting up to check the woodstove and everytime he does I feel the halves of my brain split a little.

What am I to do? Best case scenario he goes to sleep and I continue my downloads. He had a nap though and is out of beer so that's hours away. He knows my dad is gone so he might dial a hooker, in which case I will sneak out then set the house on fire. If he catches me in here though it's game over. My whole operation will be blown. They will have the police send me to the psyche ward. My dad has security cameras in the back room so he can catch my uncle beating his prostitute on video, so even exploiting my druncle's uncen state and exploding out the door wearing the curtain as a robe and screaming like a wraith isn't an option because they'd play the recording and see me, not going to work, and then go the extra mile and assume I was jerking off in the dark bathroom. And now the rats are active in the walls, creating even more interest in this back bathroo.

I'm no stranger to sitting on a toilet with my pants up for hours waiting for someone to go away, but this is too dangerous. Send good spells, Wizards.

Hey btw, if you want a place to use wifi, check the public library's schedule. They might not be open right now, but when they do reopen, it'll be a good place to use the wifi. You won't get chased out or anything either. There was a homeless guy at the library I used to volunteer at who was there every day to check his email and stuff on the library desktops.

Also, lots of libraries require a library card to use the wifi, but don't let that discourage you because the card is usually free. They just use the card so they know who is late on returning books or getting them ISP letters. Speaking of ISP letters, pirating anime should be fine on library wifi, but pirating songs definitely won't be. If you want music, check the library and see if they got a CD section. I know the library I was at had a really large CD collection for music, and even a lot of cassettes. If the library doesn't have the song you're looking for, you can check the catalogue on a desktop to see if it's in any other libraries in your county, and then you can request it to your library if it is.

I've been spending a bit of time on Reddit lately. I've come up with a weird theory and wonder if any one else has noticed it. I'm going to call it content villages and the castle.

Reddit has a lot of subs and general content flowing through it, like all social media platforms most people are only going to see this side of it. They see celebrities doing AMAs or laugh at funny posts and move on with their lives. These are the content barons, pretty much all apolitical and just want a space they can talk shop with like minded people. They are for the most part worthless to any one but their own niche. They're the village surrounding the castle.

In the castle sits all the SJWs, the feminists and the protected leftists (the theory isn't political, it's just how Reddit works). Subs like r/twox, trolling streamers and others which constantly attack people will leak into the village to witch hunt wrong think in the comments most the village doesn't read. These elites use the village as their public image, Reddits just the place Arnie posts about body building, Bill Gates does the secret santa and you can see all of these cool NERDY THING there. The castle is infested with the absolute worst scum possible, they're vampires constantly kidnapping and killing people in the village below. Any time someone attacks the castle they run into the village and scream bloody murder how everyone's being mean to the village. The second the coast is clear they run back into the castle and start to devour more and more of the villagers. It's how feminists say "We only want equality" and then claim trannies are men/succubi and succubi deserve more etc. but that's warped into a more modern version where the very top of the pile are millionaires able to fund select artists or content creators and hook them up with new life styles and free swag as long as they keep the village alive and don't mind the off person being destroyed in the background.

I've probably butchered explaining this. It's just an observation built on the old feminist behavior pattern I explained before. The difference being that now it's evolved to the larger internet where vicious "trolls"/political actors are using general hobbyists as shields in ways I've not seen before. It's an evolution of an old technique adapted to the internet age and I expect to see more often in the future. Elite circles using "influencers" to create semi legitimate content communities to create umbrellas for their assassin circle to shade under.

Is this true?

Lazy nigger. Delivering pizzas is one of the easiest jobs you can have. Even easier now that delivery people are just leaving food at the door without interacting with the person due to the flu.

Watched one of those videos from stupid youtubers with cartoon avatars "analizing" videogames and now all I get in my feed are videos like those. Next time I feel curious about watching something I'll just log out.

It helps to go to your watch history on Youtube and remove the offending video, and then when similar videos appear on the homepage you click the option icon beside it and tell YT to not reccomend videos from that channel

Did you even read what he wrote wizzie? Being white would be a major hindrance, because they would send you back. If you were black or brown you could just claim that you have no passport and they'll let you live there forever and never have to pay tax. You don't seem to understand how the western world works, if you're from EE, I recommend just staying there, it's gonna be better off than the western world in the coming years.
