It's been years since I've regularly browsed this site so the userbase may have thinned out or changed since, but I recall we had a textboard that was cozy and we got considerable mileage out of until it shat itself for some reason and the admin removed it.

So, maybe consider re-adding it?

The textboard wasn't backed up when the site was booted from its former host a few years back, so all of its post history was lost but there's a lot saved on various web archive sites. It was clunky to moderate and spambots of all kinds were able to post freely. Much of its threads were just /meta/ discussion about the main site anyway. I think you're the only user I've seen advocate for it being brought back which speaks a lot about how slow it would be. If global site activity increases and automated spam decreases enough to warrant relaunching the textboard, it would probably just be in the form of a regular NPFchan board but with images disabled.

Count me in too please. I think a textboard could have its uses.

Wizards who tend to flood same-themed images (i.e. "avatar" havers) probably should be limited to a textboard-only menagerie to behave, IMO. Some funny other imageboards stimulate avatarposting by not punishing it at all, but on Wizardchan, having avatar is a no-no, so…
