If prodded and questioned enough, everyone, even Chad Norman would have a "mental illness". Doctor's don't want to risk writing someone down as sound-of-mind because if that person commits an act of indecency later on and is then examined and diagnosed insane, that doctor will be held accountable for not diagnosing any mental ailments prior. So doctors give everyone a generalized all-encompassing mental illness to avoid that possibility. America is the same. Get evaluated > get diagnosed mental > get perscribed > take your meds or go to jail. Sucks you have to get a shot. Do they at least come to you with the needle or do you have to go to them? How do you feel after the shot? Do you have a history of mental issues, or did they just bullshit your diagnosis?

Reading your posts I get the impression that French psychiatrists are a bit overzealous in their work; I wonder if pharma industry is as big in France as it is in the US, this might explain it. Also, your father must have provided some unsavory details, fake or otherwise, for them to put you into a mental institution and force you to take antipsychotics utilized primarily to treat schizophrenia.

Psychiatrists are allowed to break human rights legally for bullshit reasons even in 1st world contries which kinda surprises me always. And people seem to even trust them like any other field of medicine. At least OP doesn't get literal lobotomy but a chemical one.

I was in a clinic for a month. I behaved quite nicely, got along with everyone, didn't have to take any pills.

I was forced to take antipsychotics too, it was the worst… lukily i stopped taking them but suffered from withrawals when i stopped.. days without sleeping and tremors mosly…

It's pretty fucked up that anyone can get you locked up for nothing, they can just claim you want to kill yourself or harm others without any proof and they will lock you up. Once you got that crazy diagnosis you are basically free game stripped of your civil rights. Why we never hear about abuse in psychiatric institutions? Because the nurses can do whatever they want to the patient, the patient won't be believed anyway. They can basically rape you and if you try to complain to the psychiatrists he will just give you an extra big shot in the booty.

I didn't claim that, and it's obviously true that this happens on occasion.
But they are massively outnumbered by people who belong there, and the simple reason is that psych wards across the west are full to bursting. The paranoid idea that they want to misdiagnose everyone they can as crazy is almost the complete opposite of the truth; psych wards will do everything in their power to get you _out_ of inpatient, because there isn't enough room there even for the people who genuinely cannot be allowed outside. Unless you are so fucked up you can't do anything resembling basic human function or you will kill someone if they let you (possibly meaning yourself), it's quite difficult to get yourself anything more than a short-term hold in a psych ward.

Comparisons to the Soviet Union are meaningless rhetoric here. France is not Soviet Russia, you know this as well as I do.

Not OP, and I don't browse this place of degeneracy some internet friend just linked that thread to me and I thought I might as well chime in.
I've been in a similar position as OP, although in my case it was semi-consensual internment; not that I really had a choice or could make an informed decision, but rolling along with it makes for prompter release.
I had to get butt-juice as well, didn't act up once. It was because I voiced my will to get out of the facility, on which occasion I was threatened by the psychiatrist that was in charge of me that if I signed a discharge (some form you can sign to get out when you chose mental hospitalisation yourself) he would then have me interned through "third party" hospitalisation (doctors and family are able to do so, and in doing so the patient cannot therefore sign a discharge to get free).

And keep in mind that this happened about 9 years ago, and soon after the laws became harsher in France.
The only reason I'm out of the system is because somehow the secretaries fucked up, and I never got my 5th butt juice appointment. And I had them after release. Haldol, or haldoperidol, as you would call it, I guess. Diagnosed initally for psychopathic schyzophrenia, mostly because of "unmotivated laughters"; I guess having a chinese psych then an intern prone to threatening patients who both don't understand cynicism in someone who tried to off themselves combined with the very pseudoscientific nature of this travesty of medicine didn't help.

Best thing you can do is first feel bad for about 2~3 week, by third week you want to put on airs that you've accepted your situation and begin to take part in activities. By week 6 you should describe to your shrink how you're feeling "better" during the weekly summon, keeping up with socialising, taking part in activities and being positive. Everyone is pumped full of meds and the facilities act halfway as a retirement home, so I hope you like cooking, playing cards, chitchat, walks and light exercise. To be honest the main reason to call bullshit on OP would be internet access. We weren't even allowed cellphones, let alone computers; tablets weren't a thing back then but I heavily doubt rules softened. You'd have access to computers maybe one hour a week on a public computer, but that requires you to be part of the more trusted patients, those who have freedom to take walks within the facility instead of being confined to their building (basically house arrest). If OP has been hospitalised by a third party I doubt he'd enjoy being part of such a trusted caste; maybe given enough time, positivism, conformism and socialising. Which are not traits I'd expect from you losers. Granted that's a wild generalisation, but I doubt I'm that far off.

I guess that what I'm trying to say is, play along, keep a low profile, act docile long enough but not too quickly as to not raise their suspcisions and "get better". Of course that means pretend to get better. Take their meds until they make a mistake that gives you big enough of a gap to slip through the system. You'll be playing the long game, but thankfully french adiministration is far, far from perfect.

Make a fool of yourself if you have to; with their meds you don't have a choice, your judgment will be clouded and you are as naive as a 6 years old child. Nothing you can do about it, and you don't have what it takes anymore to go about this logically. Making compelling arguments won't help you if there is no open ears connected to a decent brain on the receiving end, it will merely be perceived as defiance, a worsening of your condition.
You have to "accept" your illness, your living conditions, and their rule. You better bend into the mold and keep your ability to bend, lest they force you into the mold, breaking you in the process.

Not really sure what OP was trying to say as there is no questions, just a statement of facts, but I hope this helps understanding the situation with more depth and perspective.
