What is your opinion about having pets as a wizard? Do you think they help you or do you think they bother you?

>Poop Eating is Normal for Dogs and Pups

>For some species, such as rabbits, eating fecal droppings is a totally normal way of obtaining key nutrients. In fact, if you prevent rabbits from doing this, they will develop health problems, and young ones will fail to thrive. Fortunately, dogs do not need to get nutrients in this manner. It is, however, a normal, natural behavior at some canine life stages. Mother dogs will lick their puppies to urge them to eliminate and clean their feces, for about the first three weeks. Puppies will also naturally engage in this behavior, eating both their own fecal droppings (known as autocoprophagia), and those of other dogs (allocoprophagia), as well as cats and other animals. Some dogs find horse manure and goose droppings particularly appealing. Eating their own poop is harmless, but consuming that of other animals may cause health problems if the stool is contaminated with parasites, viruses, or toxins. In most cases, this behavior will fade before the puppy is about nine months old.

lol imagine taking care of an animal who eats it own poop and the poop of others. Very High iq.

Mental disorders, tendency to be disorganized, forgetful, can't implement routines, lives on a tight budget or rarely has disposable income, lives far from wooded areas. If any of those applies to you then DON'T GET A FUCKING PET. THEY'RE GOING TO SUFFER AND MAKE YOU SUFFER EVEN MORE. A pet is not going to solve any of your problems, it will just bring a new set of problems, usually expensive and time consuming. Want some company? Get a plant. Preferably one that don't need you much, because I know you'll probably fuck that one up too.

Well, i'm neet and if it were not for my dog i probably would not leave home with frequency, my dog forces me to leave home(and thats a good thing), since he need walks.
So yeah, having a pet help me tremenduously in me case, he is my only friend and i genuinely love him. But yeah, it can be time and money consuming, and your pet will get sick and die someday, and when that day comes it is always very sad.

Despite the fact having a pet is helping me, I definitely would not recommend for most wizards. Like the wizard above said, having plants is a better choice for people like us.

Can confirm, I've killed 3 plants already and sent a budgie back to the person who gave it to me.

its slavery of animals for your amusement. we've bred these docile loving half-retarded mammals that can suffer, all so we can keep them as slaves for our amusement

>"aaaawwwww wook at the cute fur baby awww =DD"

>"awwww so cuuuuuuute"

we castrate these animals, castrate them so they wont be agressive, ignore them, abuse them, feed them other tortured animals (because that makes sense), and then if they ever become a bother we just throw them away and they'll get picked up by dog control and killed in a gas chamber. these animals can suffer deeply, and they often times do, as they are often alone for long stretches of time, and dont have any testosterone from being castrated so im sure they suffer from depression

its fucking immoral and extremely childish and immature to do. you are literally getting a slave for your amusement and company. i look down on having pets, and i look down on Schopenhauer for also having a pet

 No.158615

i thought about this exact question quite a lot, this is my answer

because it because it validates and takes away the unethical behavior of the breeders who discarded them

for example, lets say a guy discarded his dog and threw it away and it went to a shelter and you adopted it. if the guy hears that his dog got addoped, he can think "no harm no foul, i didnt do anything unethical because it all ended well". in a way you are rewarding his unethical behavior because without the dog's death the unethical behavior doesnt exist

the same could be argued that adopting bastard children on a purely ethical level validates and justifies the bastard breeder, it basically encourages more of this behavior

and not to mention their fate and suffering are not your fucking business. appealing to futility "oh they're going to die anyways" doesnt justify owning a slave for your amusement, because fundamentally slavery for your amusement is wrong. you're not the person who is breeding these dogs and selling them and throwing them away when you cant afford to take them to the vet after 5 years, its not your ethical responsibility

a similar philosophical question could be described, also as "if a train is going to hit 5 people, would you press a leaver to only kill 1 person instead?"

you could argue that you arent the one who is responsible for this runaway train and by pulling the leaver you are guaranteeing the death of one person, so its not your problem or responsibility. im not entirely sure whats the answer to the train question but they are similar in nature

but i think appealing to futility is wrong, probably in both cases

just some videos on the subject i watched previously

with all of this said, ive had a cat before like 4 years ago, but it ran away. the cat was discarded by a guy who i lived with in a boarding house who used to smoke weed all day and probably crack. a fair amount of dudes i lived with were into crack, meth or were doing jail time on the weekends, in my old boarding house. he abandoned the cat after he got evicted and the entire boarding house was shut down by the police and housing department of the government. i took it with me, but it ran away. i didnt know that cats could run away, apparently you have to introduce it with a leash over time to its new place other wise if you didnt move very far it will run away

not really a lot of people treat having a child like a toy for their amusement they certainly do not give a fuck what happens to an animal. i mean your picture and what you said makes sense but i promise you the only difference it would make is that you help a critter go through less suffering (i used to volunteer at a shelter)

dogs make me want to kill myself. i don't understand how such a revolting, ugly, smelly, retarded creature could amuse anybody. i would rather keep cockroaches as pets, at least their carapaces are interesting. it's like plate armor. dog's fur is coarse and smells like poop.

My father has a female dog and whenever I pet her she gets all excited, jumps over me, rolls over her back and starts numbling on my hands. I always get a boner if I continue playing with her.
Am I a zoophile or something? I don't find dogs sexually attractive. I think it's just she is the only living being that's happy to touch me and be touched by me, so my desperate body interprets it in a sexual way…

If you are a wizard who is facing mental challenges or a NEET or living in a city you should absolutely not have a pet. It would only drain you while the pet suffers too.

His rage wasn't even related to veganism. It's simple truth that what humans have done to animals is disgusting and having pets are similar to having slaves for pleasure. It's simply delusional to proclaim that dogs are somehow "human's friends" in the same way calling deformed slaves as the master's friends would be absurd.

Its funny how dog owners claim to love animals or claim that dogs are their family members while castrating their dogs and putting them on leashes. If dogs are their family then do they put collar onto their family member, torture them through city life, and castrate them? Dog owners who claim that their dogs are their friends or family members are absolute psychopaths who deserve to be hanged.

You don't pet dogs that way and get so close to their face. She was just asking for retaliation. The way he was petting him was disgusting. I don't even think dogs like being petted underneath the head. It was like she was playing with his face.

Apparently she got plastic surgery, so I must blame the dog trainers for such irresponsible behavior.

Varies based on where you are. Had dogs for years and only puppies needed vacines, no need to give them to adult dogs.

OP dogs are a great companion but they're not your bitch. Don't expect a dog to let you be a lazy fag who can't take care of it because you can't be bothered. If you're just looking for something to play with then try your dick. If you're looking to improve your life and use the dog as a serious attempt then go for it. But dogs can be hard work and they require you to do things every day.

Don't get a small dog they're yappy little faggots. Get an average size dog with a good house hold nature. Family dogs who are good with kids are happy to play or lay down quietly. They're very unlikely to be aggressive and they are great companions. Labs or collies are the easiest kind of dog to care for and are good house security.

Dogs love having their chins scratched but that dog was very clearly uncomfortable. It was trying to pull away and she kept holding it in place, the cop did the same thing. When she got her face up close it bit her.

>>158648
Every time you walk your dog off the lead it can run away and never come back, nothing you can do to stop it. Instead the dog runs up to you and rolls over for a belly rub. Animal abuse is so disgusting, enslaving a dog like that. How fare a dog enjoy the company of it's owner and like going for walks.

Go watch a documentary on lions eating zebras if you want to see what animals do to other animals. Humans are saints compared to a lion eating a zebra's asshole open while it slowly bleeds out over hours.

>do they put collar onto their family member, torture them through city life, and castrate them?

Kind of. Collared to school, stuck in the city with debts and reliances, castrated by poor diet and lack of encouragement through growing up… Many modern families treat kids as if they were pets and not human beans.

I think pets can be a good thing for a Wizard as they can help offset our boredom.

Though due to our inherint laziness I'd recommend Wizards only get animals that can mostly take care of themselves like cats.

That said I wish I had more energy as I'd definitely get an australian shepherd then since I love my neighbors damn dog so much that is this breed.

The australian shepherd more than anything else shows me how anyone can be a "dog person".

Before I experienced this dog I was always perplexed about what exactly people saw in dogs to obsess over them so much.

Well now I know.
