I get so depressed about the absolute state of my country and the state of the world politics generally that I prefer to detach and imagine myself observing history in action like an entomologist would observe an ant colony. Just taking an academic interest in what is happening and using historical patterns to guess about what will happen next.

This approach has led me to an interest in the study to futurology. I like to think about the future in terms of
Scientific and technological advancements
Political changes
Changes in culture/art/creativity

I write down a lot of my ideas and seal them. I hope to live to 2100 (106 years old) and then reopen them.

I imagine at some point we will get nuclear fusion to be a viable form of energy source. The sooner the better.
>Political changes
I think western liberal democracy will diminish as a desired form of government. Since the French Revolution western culture has only really produced three true ideologies: Liberal democracy, Marxism, and Fascism. I think monarchies of principalities of some kind are the future.
>Changes in culture/art/creativity
AI art will become much more of a thing. Music will continue to decrease in quality and relevance.
