I think it's a younger userbase accessing this site, many far too young to be here as apprentices. As a result newer lingo has appeared, also easier to tell based on how hostile they can be, as >>65424 pointed out, can confirm you mellow out in your 30s. Many are just 20 somethings going through a rough patch, not destined for wizardy. Others seem to want attention by posting how young they are, seeking some weird form of social validation about how their lives are going.
