Those pictures are absolutely fucking disgusting. Any time I see one I just have to close the site and not click on it for a few days. Get your shit together mods. Every other website has managed to figure out how to block this shit except you. You can't claim it's technically impossible because you don't know how to do it. Get some nerd from the community to do it for you like this brave and valiant anon who is offering to do something about it.

Give me the chance and I'll destroy the bot. Just the bot and its posts. Nothing else.

A staff member with the power to properly delete the spam would also have the ability to effectively delete all files on the website permanently on a database level. No recovery. Wizchan doesn't use janitor roles so all staff have this power. It's why I haven't really tabled opening applications. One of you assholes could play me for a fool and destroy the website. Then I'd probably close it down and have to find another page to refresh for 14 hours each day. If you're serious about volunteering, hit up the email at the bottom of the FAQ.

>Every other website has managed to figure out how to block this shit except you.
That's not true at all. When it was online, the Xj9k bot proved that Wizchan was among the least effected by CP spam. Our own mod log shows a lot of rejected posts at the same time that other imageboards are being attacked. The current spammer is just using a VPN offering many IPs that haven't yet been flagged as such, so our system regards her posts as coming from a genuine user. When we get hit I often do my rounds on other imageboards, many in different languages and running entirely different software, and there's always a lot who are also being hit with spam at the same time as us.

>You can't claim it's technically impossible because you don't know how to do it.

It is impossible to operate a website that allows for user-submitted content that can't also be spammed with CP. Even if new posts are put in to a queue to be approved, the image file is still uploaded to the server where it can be picked up by our host's routine content scanner… But even then, the scanner would fail to pick up the file as a registered illegal image because this spammer has been generating new hashes for all of the images. So the pictures get through even if we've already banned them, but they're less volatile nonetheless. Any other preventive measures would probably violate the core nature of an imageboard. Any suggestions as to what we may be able to do? In my opinion the only hope for a functional preventative solution would be to employ an AI model that can evaluate images as potentially depicting child sexual material, but that's hopeful thinking and still a long way out.

>Any time I see one I just have to close the site and not click on it for a few days.

You could use the "No Images" stylesheet. From a legal standpoint, you are at zero risk of repercussions for using a site that happens to be the victim of illegal spam. The laws for viewing child porn aren't so black and white.
