$config['flood_time_ip'] = 10;
$config['flood_time_same'] = 1;
/b/'s values for this are 60, 120, and 600. I set them that high because I am very smart. The latter two values are necessary or else we'd be flooded by one guy making the same thread over and over, as has been happening for the past 10 years.

do you need me to give you code that limits how many threads one person can make?

>>65745Reply limit + interval are 10 & 5. They are set this high to prevent us from being flooded by one guy making the same reply over and over, as has been happening since I took away his ability to make the same thread over and over.
>do you need me to give you code that limits how many threads one person can make?It looks like you're pulling the code from the codebase that Wizchan is already operating on…

>>65746nope that whole block is custom, i wrote it before AI became a thing, it did not exist in vichan 5.1.4
what i'm noticing is that after making like 3 replies, it feels like i have to wait a minimum of 10 minutes before i can reply again. you should come up with a better approach that minimizes that guys flooding without making it impossible for non-malicious posters to reply
d85f6 No.65748
>>65747and by reply again, i mean completely different text in the body, it just doesn't go through no matter what i change it or if i refresh the page, just giving "Flood detected; Post discarded"

testing if i can reply with low interval

so far some reason on this board i seem to be able to make replies in short intervals, but on /b/, there's some bug that makes certain threads un-replyable (with unique text) even after waiting 60 seconds
d85f6 No.65752
is there something custom that you added to /b/ that would trigger the "Flood detected; Post discarded." message even after waiting 60 seconds? because i'm not getting it here
d85f6 No.65753
>>65752i should mention i also waited way longer than 120 seconds (2 minutes). i think i'm getting that 600 timer for certain replies. maybe it discriminates against posts that starts with japanese text? will try to test that later
d85f6 No.65755
do you have something custom that prevents you from replying to or bumping a certain number of threads? or something that prevents you from bumping an older thread?
d85f6 No.65757
ok i think i see what kind of rule you put. you can't bump an older thread on /b/ for some reason and have to wait many minutes but you can reply/bump a thread on the first or second page. am i correct about this? can you at least lower it from 10 minutes or whatever you put, down to like 3 or 5 minutes?
