When I watch series, it's only stuff like Sopranos or Dexter which focus on complex male characters.
I can't stand watching female lead shows like Bridget Jones diaries for more than 10 minutes without being enraged at how bad it is.
It has nothing to do with misogyny. I'm straight and have nothing against succubi.
I just think they're boring as characters and the more you go overboard in making them "bosslady" and "bad bitches" the cringier it gets, like the widely ridiculed Sand Snakes in Game of Thrones.
Who were the universally most liked female Game of Thrones characters? Yeah, Arya and Brienne, because they got no free ride in life.
They had to fight male knights and psychopaths to survive and often got their face smashed in as a result. But they still survived not due to being damsels in distress but because they were capable, extremely loyal and unafraid.
