I think even in Mishima the characters are sexually experienced but if you read Temple of the Golden Pavilion it practically presages the phenomenon of the hikkikomori. What makes Wozzeck wizard-like is that he has absolutely no agency in his own life. I think some of us could relate to that, the illegitimate paternity notwithstanding.

Which doesn't make sense. The only thing that defines a wizard is his choice to maintain his virginity. There is no unified set of values, social capacity, personality traits, or worldview that is shared among wizards. A "wizard-like character" could equally describe the CEO of TechCorp who hosts parties and fires fat chicks, as it could describe Elliot the basement-dwelling MCU analyst who yells at his fat mom for more Funko pops. As long as both of these characters chose to hold on to their virginity, they are "wizard-like characters", because that's all that matters.

The former is a power fantasy. I understand the importance of "holding the line" or else you'll get a bunch of Chad's and normies in here acting like Mersault in The Stranger. However Wozzeck is a fictional character and one who is much more relatable to a wizard than Chad at TechCorp. Plus its not easy to find virgin characters in media. agreed. virginity is just another marker. it's often substantial, not having any intimate sexual contact by your 30s is often rare, which is why it's a good marker but it's not definitive. you could be a complete normalfag but still be a virgin out of religious beliefs or you're just somewhat weird about sex but you've still had girlfriends. i don't want those types posting here, i want what you described. also, it's very easy to simply LIE about being a virgin but not quite as easy to pretend you have a different personality, eventually you will slip up, and we've had cases like that in wizchan history. admins and moderators that were basically sexhavers and they only got caught because they shared too much information about their life and it become very apparent.

"new" admin says that these people were purged from the moderation staff, but i don't know how true that is. ownership of wizchan gets passed around in tight-knit groups that know each other, but it's a common pattern that these people eventually just get tired of LARPing as virgins and then throw the keys to one of their butt-buddies.
