Can be rough days. I work for a big enough place that even a sperg can blend in assuming I turn in some work for my bosses - they're just happy someone shows up for the shift and doesn't always take Fridays and/or Mondays off to party and recover so it's a win right there.

I also wonder sometimes what it's like to work an office job. I've only done manual labor. I hear all these office normies making jokes about pretending to look busy at work when their boss comes around. I guess the rich really just do nothing all day and get paid 200k while low tier wagies do the actual work.

Physically it's a lot more comfortable than manual labour or even working in hospitality or retail. The main issue, as you've already identified, is the distribution of workload; Manager A will overstate their workload/output and get tons of office minions who all do jackshit, while Manager B is actually overloaded but can't get more staff because all the budget already went to Manager A. Eventually Manager B will quit, and Manager B's minions will either follow their boss out the door or catastrophically burn out from doing the work of eight employees each. Then Manager A and their minions get exposed as useless, but they get kept because it would create more problems to drop them right now before the company can replace Manager B's team.

office work itself is extremely easy, although most of the fake jobs that do literally nothing and have no justification for existing are reserved for succubi. nobody works even close to eight but most office workers do a couple hours of work a day
the only downside is that a corporate desk job is more likely to be ruined by emotionally stunted coworkers and office politics drama queens than a real job is

Who would want to work at these temperatures with widespread covid/flu for pennies when you can rest at your cozy apartment with air conditioning completely subsidied by the state. I get €942 of disability and the only thing I have to do is a little antipsychotic injection every 10 weeks.

Although, I have experienced a "revelation" my folks were 2 particular types of people abundant in our city so it's easily understandable what their actual motives were - one wanted to flaunt wealth, another also wanted to flaut wealth, so my actual humbleness was a blight for them.
