I think the real bots are those who post a new thread every 2 weeks about how "The internet is dead and there's nothing to talk about". All you need to do is start a conversation about anything. If that doesn't appeal to you, then it doesn't mean that there's nothing to talk about; it means that you're bored of talking about anything and are better off getting away from forums. i've been perusing peoples' shitty sites on neocities and nekoweb lately, reminds me of what the internet should be like. also been adding a bunch of neat blogs i found to my rss feeds. not very interactive, athough that means the likelihood of encountering bots and / or rajesh is fairly low.

Mostly the wageslave thread on here. Around 2016 I used to frequent this place daily and use multiple boards, share art and discuss hobbies like dumpster diving . It's a great hobby by the way I'd suggest checking it out

Nope. Quite often those dumpsters have amazing items. For example there was a computer store that made employees throw away stock. Nothing crazy but a ton of memory sticks, controllers etc.. I would do it more often but it's quite popular these days as the economy in my country is incredibly awful compared to 10 years ago - more people are doing this and it's mostly for food now.

The internet isn't dead, it just been curated by corporations/governments, flooded by low quality content by grifters, shills, talent-less hacks, attention whores(the worst kind) and copycats.
While these people existed back then as well, they used to by outshine by genuine talented people. Now it's the opposite. Quality content are now like gems buried under mountains of garbage.

We now live in a world where people like IRATE Gamer thrives and people like the Angry Video Game Nerd are mostly unseen, while also being milked by copycats/hacks/corporations for ideas.
You get ahead by rehashing stuff, people like MillenniaThinker, Lord Wojak, Low Budget Stories and hordes of other similar "creators", makes a living by using wojak from 2010.
Just make a silly story with images of some wojaks, get 1 million views and ad money from google. Your story doesn't even have to be your own, can just be a "we have Joker(2019) at home" kinda thing.
It pays off more being a talent-less hack like these people than to be original.
