Your English is quite decent already. Keep working on it.
No man chose the year he was born in (as far as I know), so don't waste your
hatred or shame on that. It's best to direct those feelings at things you can
change. The fact is that we are alive here and now, so we may as well make the
best of our situation. I do think we're lucky, in some ways, to be alive today.
But it's not easy to properly use the things we have. The internet is indeed
full of AI-generated nonsense and porn, but it can also be viewed as a great
library of historical media, for example. It is one of our challenges to sift
through the trash, and find the things of value. But there's nothing stopping
you from trying.
I have an idea. You say that you're nostalgic for the 2000s. You should be able
to replicate many things about how life was back then. Find out everything you
can about your chosen period, and try to live as if you really were living back
then. Look at how people spent their free time before smartphones on things like
books, films, music and art. All of those things can be reproduced very easily
today. This will also help break your smartphone addiction, because it will give
you something to fill the time that you would have spent using the smartphone.
When you're trying to break any addiction, having something to replace it with
is very helpful. If you have money, you can go even further and satisfy your
sense of aesthetics with things like period-accurate fashion and furniture, for
example. Eventually, you can become a sort of living anachronism. At least, that
will give you an active goal to channel your hatred toward.

also AI is cool too, can be annoying but its neat to have a computer to talk to.
I guess with smartphone, computer, internet and AI I dont feel so lonely so I see it as a good thing.
I remember how shitty it was in the 90s, things were simpler but there was way too much interaction needed with normalfags and entertainment wasnt on demand. you had to wait for the right time to watch a movie or move your ass to rent a VHS.

I think the worst is this all-pervasive sense of soullessness and nihilism, even "non-mainstream" parts of the internet like 4cuck have stagnated.
I remember even up to 2015 you could go on the blue boards on 4cuck and find OC and interesting threads.
You also get banned everywhere for nonsense reasons.
Small websites like these are the only ones I visit.
There also was more of a sense of "soul" in the real world 2009-2011, in a certain way, when the normies say "nothing" has meaning, they truly have turned everything into "nothing"

Do you want to be stuck in time like it's 15+ years ago while the rest of the world moves on? There's a time and place for everything and revisiting the past can be good, but you can't indulge in it all the time. It is taxing in many ways to live anywhere but the present. You will be nostalgic for the 2020s soon enough. The billionaires are doing everything they can to make sure only they can enjoy the outside world. The rest of us will just have to settle with fake virtual ones - they've said as much.

There was a solid line between the internet and RL AND geekery was still looked down upon by the normalfags. I wish I had doubled down on geekery and going full internet retard back then, for some reason I thought that if I toned it even when I was alone I wouldn't be hassled as much by my normalfag classmates. In retrospect it didn't make a difference.

>>305598Zoomer here, the time period we grew up with was lightning in a bottle. I can't relate to millennials and later Zoomers. It seems as though we're a forethought generation as Zillennials, like the Jones generation.
We're just a blip on the map, something that happened, but quickly forgotten.
It's funny because most modern media is compared to what we grew up with and latter generations, yet we have to live with everything that comes after, and as you know, it's utter garbage.
Everything new that we see isn't meant for us, but the intended demographic doesn't care for it, so it just feels like demoralization propaganda, which it is.
I don't know what to tell you other than you're opinion doesn't matter.
Jokes aside, we were just a microcosm in the grand scheme of things and we're now adults, people expect you to not care and just feel nostalgiac.
There's really nothing to look forward to, unfortunately.
Truth is no one is going to look back nostalgically on the 2020s. It's a time where times are changing for the worst, Zoomer males are living in a scarcity enviorment, and most males are just second class peons not worth more than the occasional glance of disgust that is evoked by passerbys.
I think the Mouse Utopia Experiment tells us clearly that history isn't a linear path of events, we're truly in the end of times here.

I’m just so tired of it all. The algorithms, the identity politics, the absolute insanity of it all. I don’t k ow how I’m supposed to just go on normally when the Epstein files confirmed the worst conspiracies we could imagine were all real. When basic reality is secondary to virtual reality. I want to put the phone down and get offline but there is no offline anymore. Unless I go full uncle Ted, everything is connected back to the internet. Every country is being run by social media. The whole internet is either Reddit or 4chan. I just need to vent and scream slurs at people again. I hate faking everything in real life. We’re all living a massive lie and I feel as though we’re coming to the precipice, and either reality will shatter all the delusions we’ve built up or we will all sleep walk together to annihilation.

>>305721Older zoomer here too. For anyone reading this, I am a zoomer and I'm turning 29 next month. Isn't that something? Anyway I do agree, I'm really sad about how the 2000's were this magical time. I really only got to experience 2002~2015 with some little pleasures, everything else has been nothing short of a nightmare. Even my golden years still had major problems as school bullying was insane. At least there were plenty of good distractions, and a younger and more optimistic mind took them on board.
Card games, hobbies, even the environment around me is just different. I can't enjoy it.

Meanwhile we have evil incarnate pulling the strings of most of the world. China is perhaps the only threat that isn't compromised, which is why war with them is on the horizon.
We have our leaders and our real leaders worshipping the dark "gods". Bleeding out children, eating them, raping them, putting them in our food. They make fun of us for eating our own babies. The normies will say "(person i don't like) was there, anyway did you watch the new movie???"

>>305713>Why would you be surprised? Because 1 hour of texting could be communicated with a 3 minute phone call. I remember some kids would sit there texting from home while the house phone was right next to them.
It was $20 for 500 texts per month back then, and people were burning through them by week 2.
>>305824It's actually based as shit the corporate sleaze of collectables is dying off. 80s cartoons were glorified toy commercials and our boomer parents were rightly disgusted at the level of brainwashing they achieved over kids. They didn't understand Yugioh or Pokemon entirely, but they had an intuition as to how cynical it all was paying $30 for a deck (that's like $60 in today's money). They begrudgingly used to go along with it.
I remember there was some viciousness and nastiness at school behind it all too. Wealth differences, which were minimal or unnoticed for kids, became exacerbated in a mean fashion when some kids had parents that could dump hundreds into the hobby while others didn't. There was lots of stealing, fights, accusing others of having "fake" cards.
Don't other millennials find it pathetic how much of our nostalgia is tied up to actual corporate products and toy commercials? At least when the boomers were playing cowboys and indians on the playground, it wasn't drafted up in some Hasbro office as a way to fleece money off their parents.
