There are plenty of rational reasons to come to wanting to commit suicide. Off the top of my head I can think of only one and thats because im reading a book where the main character is a prisoner of war and they're trying to keep information a secret from the enemy. Im sure there are more reasons, but thats the only one I can think of.

I feel like life being too hard definitely isn't a reason to commit though. I could be wrong, maybe you're a prisoner in your own unique way, but i dont believe thats true.

Living a life without meaning also seems like a dumb reason to commit. If it were rational, then you should see how having a life with meaning is important and therefore you see that life has a meaning.

If your life is plagued by illness or poverty or failure it is perfectly rational to commit suicide.
This idea that life is always worth living is the epitome of religious madness, who the fuck wants to live a hellish life.
Humans and especially wizards deserve dignity, we're not beasts who are fulfilled simply by farting and snoring.

I get why people say that suicide is not an option and people considering it are 'gay and retarded' as second poster put it. I also get why people suicide and why it can be rational. I've been on both sides at different points in my life. I think about it rather as a situational necessity than a decision based action. As such it can't be evaluated as bad or good, weak or strong, legitimate or illegitimate way of ending ones life. It's more of an observable phenomenon that has to be recognised in the same way as the need to sneeze - you try to hold it back as much as you can in specific situations, but when the hard biological process kicks in you can't stop it no matter what. Suicide is as much of a decision as the need to sneeze in situations where sneezing is absolutely not welcome and where you really try to hold it back until you just can't.

And an infinite number of gods to believe in. And boundless possibilities in life. But that doesn’t mean you can believe or do whatever you want, especially if you don’t really want anything and feel apathetic

Exactly what OP saying about society throwing out anyone who dares to question methods of coping with life or its necessity at all. Naturally they can't because it's impossible to prove.
This aversion to suicide seems to predicate from some assumption that dying is bad, which is entirely unsubstituted. Either consciousness continues in some form, in which case we cannot know which form that will be, or it ceases to exist. And in the second case there can be no person for whom suicide is a problem. Contrariwise, there can also be no person who benefits from suicide, which is why suicide is a completely neutral act.
Or to put it another way, we can't apply the worlds logic to the concept of nonexistence, which exists outside it's limits.

Because we all have that in our superior intelligence that is above the logic and words. If anyone cannot catch them it's cuz he/she is dumb human being. And we all will make fun of you.
