I don't even get the "luxury" of having a steady job for more than a year. I get to sit, stuck at home with little hope. But then again, there really isn't much hope with a job either. Either route just seems like existential torture to me. Last time I looked for a job, it took me 18 months to find something. Now, I am in the same situation again after a year. I hate that I have to feel like I am begging Goldberg just to have the opportunity—no the privilege, to throw away all the hours of my day, every day, just to live a life of staying barely above water. I hate this shit so much, I wish I could just go live in the prehistoric era and live a short, but free, life and just get eaten by wolves or something. That fate is 100x better than wage slaving your entire existence away. I hate that they psyop me into feeling like I need some meaningless job that contributes nothing to keeping the world spinning. I hate the angst I feel because I can't "build a life." Build a life? More like build my tomb. Why would I contribute to a system that I hate, that I wish death for? A system that makes me feel like a caged animal, where the only place I can find solace is entertainment and animal pleasure? Because I live in it? I would rather just do the opposite of contribute at this point.

>>310153I don't have the option to NEET, and id rather not be homeless. My job is low-stress enough that its tolerable. If I'm ever in a position where the choices are a job where I have to be on my feet for 8 hours a day and interact with people, or be homeless, then I would buy a van and live in it, but for now, I get paid to sit on my ass.
I would snap psychologically if i was deprived of the privacy and ability to shut away the world that having an apartment to myself provides, so that's an incentive enough for me to keep going. I also recognize that no matter what job I have, there will always be the first layer of mild existential torture that comes with having to go be somewhere you don't want to be and doing things youd rather not be doing that comes with work. Being a janitor is the same time sink as being some white collar corporate professional.
I do tip my hat to people who can get NEETbux, or have some situation that is comfy and avoids work, but I don't have that deck of cards

Been wageslaving for 10 years now. First I was doing some drawings, talking with the authorities and data input.
Then I changed departments and found a niche in IT stuff nobody bothered to understand. It was pretty comfy for a few years.
Then they made me manager for said department, 20 or so morons under me. Biggest of all is me because I accepted this corpo trash.
I wanted to quit but nobody gave a shit. Talked with the superiors, but they were busy changing their positions.
I don't really want to lose my job, but I don't want this constant stress either.

We have a new guy that is socially starved and will put down his steamdeck and just talk for 20 minutes straight if any of us walk into the breakroom. I just want to stuff a sad sandwich in my face so I can get back to work, not discuss all of the posts on reddit front page with him. I've been taking breaks in the warehouse now and eat my sandwich at my desk.

>>310179Yeah I just buy a small jar of pesto and some baked bread from the supermarket, slice it there, and eat it on my way back. Just dip and eat. Sometimes I buy canned pate and chug it all down with a bottle of kefir or get some cold cuts with canned pineapple.

>>310123I don't eat at work. I think it's because I'm in a constant state of fight or flight. I don't do anything at work, aside from print orders for the warehouse crew to pick and wrap. Aside from that I just sit in front of the computer and pretend to be busy. It is extremely nerve racking because the boss thinks I'm working, but I haven't for the past 4 years. He doesn't know because he works remote.
There is an old guy, a manager, who is in the office with me. For this reason I can't really just browse the internet all day. I have to pretend to be busy which I do by playing around in excel, creating lists, reports etc, which no one reads, and that's how I amuse myself. But I think my boss is catching on. I don't know how long this can last.
I used to work more in the warehouse back when there weren't many coworkers, and I was made floor manager, but we moved to this new one, and there are a lot of kids working there who made my life hell so I gradually stopped helping out in the warehouse. That's how I got to this point.
I don't know why my boss gave me a computer, when I have no work to do on it. I feel bad for ripping my boss off because early on when the place was more local he would pay for my fare to get into work, or give me lifts into work. He also helped pay for my driving lessons so I could get to this new place which is in a remote location.
Many times I have considered asking for more to do, but I don't want to go back to the hell of working on the warehouse floor with these horrible kids. And to do so would bascically be to admit I don't do anything. They think I am doing administration things, but in reality that is all handled by females in a remote office.
Soon I will be taking a one week vacation. I haven't used any vacations so far in the past 3 years because I'm worried they'll realize nothing changes when I'm not there. When I asked my boss about the vacation he freaked out and started panicking because he thinks everything will go to pot if I'm not in. He asked me to start showing another employee all of my processes. I merely showed them how to print a PDF, and then I dismissed them.
Let me reiterate that at one point I was a good worker, but we moved to a new location and all the people were shitty so I became a recluse who doesn't do anything. My hope was that I would be given more data administration related tasks, but my boss either just does everything himself or hires females to do it.

Being forced into becoming a duty manager. My roles will be dealing with bad customers, and we get so many. only 2/8 of our current security guards are useful. What's a 5'1 indian gir, or a 5'5 70 year old man going to do when there's a crazy cunt freaking out at 10pm on my staff. I have to handle that, be in their face etc. Not liking it. I'm good with a few other duty managers, and even they say it's a rough job. By the way these are amazing men, physically imposing, intelligent, charming. I'm none of those things. I'm just some typical loser nerd. I'm supposed to handle these things?? And for what? literally only 1 dollar extra an hour on my base pay, AND 5 dollars extra an hour ONLY on the shifts I do that job, so essentially only getting like 150 dollars before tax a week on standard weeks for the insane pressure it gives me. That money will barely cover the weed/beers I'll need to deccompress. Also basically forced into this roll or I face being fired/forced to quit as they will torture me with checkout duty which I would hate infintely more. I just hate it all. I have to socialize with everyone too which sucks. the checkout succubi are so rude, and I have to pretend we are cool LOL. Fuck man I hate this

>>310128I'm not a great story teller but a previous boss of mine was a psycho midget demon succubus.
She would constantly bark orders at me "GET THE BOX NOW!!!!!" as I work into the room with the boxes, there are 10 boxes that belong to our department. I bring it out. "NOT THAT ONE WHAT THE FUCK!?" So I ask which one she wants. "JUST THE FUCKING BOX!" Ok, but which one does she need? There is no obvious common sense answer either, as nothing is currently a priority in regards to the polcies we follow or the situation at hand. She eventually just does it herself and grabs one of the boxes I originally asked if it was this one or not?
Also when we filled the shelf during nightfill she would blast off on an unhinged rant at me for filling the chocolate ice cream first instead of the vanilla ice-cream, but this is totally inconsequential… It takes like 45~80 seconds to fully fill each flavor, and the store doesn't even open until another 6 hours. Why does it matter? She would scream at me call me names and report me. Everyone hated her, they hated her to the point they'd rather side with me the weirdo type than her. That should say a lot as they were typical normies. That boss was so fucking insane, and the funniest part of it all was I learned from the store manager that she had supported me on several occasions where they wanted to cancel my time off work, and she just covered my shifts so she essentially did 100+ hour weeks just to ensure I wasn't interrupted. That's why I'm so confected about this boss. Perhaps she's a good person that just has very severe mental issues? I don't know.

Clear lockers are insanity, possibly illegal? Either way they like pushing the boundary.
