When I lived in Thailand I noticed that rent was about half of swedish rent and food in restaurants cost maybe 20% of swedish restaurants ( in Thailand, restaurants were slightly cheaper than cooking good food at home). It cost 2€ for a good meal outside there.
A low Thai salary was 10% of a low swedish salary though.
