>>2441 Divi-dead is a pretty mindfucky one, but I really liked it, I have to get all of the other endings one day. The progression system is fucking retarded in this game though - 90% of the time you have no idea where to go, so you just wander around until you find an event. Problem is, most of the time if there's a situation like this then there are two events, and each one activates a certain flag. Enough of flags X - ending A, enough of flags Y - ending B, not enough of either - ending C. It's really fucking stupid, the devs actually published a flowchart later because they realized how badly they fucked up. Still, great story and damn good art.
>>2441 >School days (Every parts) I couldn't read School Days because of the stupid mechanics. Why the fuck did they make the text move along automatically instead of letting you read at your own pace, and what the fuck were they thinking putting the choices on a timer so you don't have the time to read them properly and consider which one might lead where.
>>2494 Normally I'd say you should go for it if it looks interesting to you, but keep in mind that any game on Steam is going to have had all of the H scenes cut out. If you don't mind that though I don't see why not.
>tfw all the good NTR eroge are in moon speak Am I really going to have to learn Japanese just to have access to some decent wank material?
I found a few NTR hentai series, but they were basically all just adaptations of eroge with all the depth cut out of them (and of course, only one route, which is probably much tamer and shorter than in the eroge). The problem is, NTR needs depth in order to work. The whole fetish relies on you being emotionally invested, otherwise it has no effect and isn't exciting. Only one of the hentai I watched actually did anything for me.
I think the eroge format is probably better for another reason, in that it gives your imagination more room to work.
Fuck it, time for attempt no# 4 at learning Japanese.
The main character is an apprentice who disregards succubi, faps to eroge and only likes games but he eventually decides to give succubi one last chance.
At first, i thought the succubi were using him but there was a deeper meaning behind why they were doing it. The endings are also good.
>>2581 I finally got round to reading this. The translation is absolutely fucking terrible, probably the worst I've ever read. They're translating a fucking hentai VN and they can't even get the word "impregnated" right (for some reason the translator used "pregnated" instead). Other than that, most of the sentences don't make any sense and I can barely follow the conversations and narrations, I have only the vaguest idea as to what is going on in the plot.
In terms of the actual VN itself, the biggest complaint I have so far is that the H-scenes are just way too long. They go on for fucking ever. It just drags and drags and drags to the point of becoming boring and tedious to read. And it's not like they're drawn out for any good reason, they're just artificially lengthened by the characters repeating virtually the same lines over and over again ("I'm going to cum!"… 5 minutes later the character still hasn't, though he has probably said he would 2 or 3 times since).
>>3305 Translation for the first game was made by a single guy who was just in progress of learning japanese, cut him some fucking slack. Next games have way better translations.
>>3306 Seems like he was also just in the progress of learning English too. A bad translation is one which distorts the original meaning but still at least makes sense in the target language. This translation isn't just bad, it's awful.
If he didn't know Japanese or English well enough to translate, he shouldn't have bothered. Now that he has translated it, there is no incentive for anyone competent to translate it (why translate something which has already been translated when you could translate something new?). If he hadn't translated it, someone better would've probably done it, but because he translated it, everyone is now stuck with this garbled mess of a translation from which only the vaguest understanding of what is going on can be gleaned.
Also, this VN isn't really the sort of NTR I was looking for. The main focus of the story is rape and mind break, the NTR only exists as an underlying theme since the male being NTR'd isn't even present after the introductory part where the characters are introduced.
>>3311 >If he hadn't translated it, someone better would've probably done it, but because he translated it, everyone is now stuck with this garbled mess of a translation from which only the vaguest understanding of what is going on can be gleaned.
I doubt it, he translated this game after over 3 years, nobody was interested in a translation before. Games like this rarely ever get translated, for straight-up nukige most people just rely on machine translations. Besides, I just played a few minutes of it and it doesn't seem that bad, are you sure you're not just being a whiny bitch?
I'm disappointed, expected more harem scenes including Haruka. Not one eroscene with her in… except for the Bad End which only shows her breasts and nothing else (almost like mocking me).
Also i don't like the thought of having my ass jammed by traps like in one unecessary eroscene, didn't like it at all. Some scenes are basically the same, the characters only change clothes, really lazy from the developers.
I expected an eroge like BokuSuki and got something totally different.
I've been a hikky for 9 years now after a traumatic experience in high school with a succubus.
I have always longed for vagina and saw traps as freaks. My first eroges were full of BDSM, like the Viper and Bible Black series. Always focusing heavily on succubi and harems.
Until, i played an eroge long time ago which made me change my mind. The protagonist had a circle of friends and one of them was a trap. I actually loved other character which also cleary loved me (like a childhood friend) so i went her rout but the trap was so cute and spend most time with me, more even than my childhood friend. Also there was a sweetness to his character that my childhood friend didn't have. Extremely shy, quite the opposite from her.
In one particular scenes i was kissing her in the classrom and the trap saw it, bursting into tears… something about that scene made me feel so bad, that i changed my mind about tham to this day. I thought, so this boy changed his sexuality just to love me and changed everything how he was just to loving me? And i treat him like that… hmm doesn't seem right… Anyway i ended up marrying my childhood friend but i felt guilty inside. So i replayed the game and went the trap route. It turned out that the trap route was the cutest in the entire game, it also didnt have as many eroscenes as the other routes. He just wanted love from me.
I don't consider myself gay. It's just a game, after all. Like most wizards here, we may fap to traps online but in real life we are straight or don't even care about sexual relations altogether. I think it doesn't have to do with having a dick or not, what does it for me is submission and cuteness, and in most eroges the traps are way above succubi in this regard. I like introvert and shy succubi, genki types are a instant turnoff for me.
>>3363 I used to like a girl in high school because she was everything an inexperienced apprentice wizard would desire in a succubus.
Shy, cute, only friends of the same sex, not talkative, wore glasses, etc.
One day, it was a beautiful afternoon, most of teh students had left but i usually was one of the last to leave classes because i actually lived very close to my school. When i was passing a classroom in the lower floor, i saw her french kissing a known chad (the worst kind of chad) in a classroom and there i saw my last hope for succubi down the drain. They're all the same, sooner or later they will corrupt themselves… they aren't like us. So i gave up on succubi and love, well, i still love them, but only in 2D form.
What do you guys reccomend for a low level moon reader? I'm trying to read hanahira (moege not eroge) but I'm having a hard time finding motivation since hardly anything hppens.
It'll probably be hard to read anything when you're just starting out. Notice that the image says the moege are fairly easy to read. The use of "fairly" implies that there are easier things you could be reading (e.g. certain manga).
How long have you been learning for? I just started out and I'm curious about what sort of progression I can expect over time.
Pros: Apprentice MC, likeable characters, easy reading, 4th wall jokes, some eroscenes are animated, harem end. Cons: Too short (4 selection screens until ending), few eroscenes (due to some being animated i guess).
7/10 - I'd recommend it for a quick laugh or fap, nothing serious. It also helped me forget depression.
Started playing SISTERS ~夏の最後の日~ Ultra Edition a week ago after being depressed for a while without even wanting to fap anymore… i'm currently only in the 4th day in-game.
Well… what to say. The game started with a car crash and apparently someone died. I woke up in a room without any memories. The beginning was kind of awesome, i woke up in a house in the middle of nowhere with a mother and her two daughters, the mother apparently made her move on me and i felt kinda manly because i didn't even remember anything, not even knew who i was. Turned out her husband died and she was just feeling lonely, using me as a tool… heh..
I'll be brutally honest though, i'm not liking what i'm seeing past that. I'll continue playing because i want to see the ending more than anything now but i'm feeling like shit IRL, like being cucked behind my back, i can't even fap to them anymore. Let's see how this turns out before i regret picking this game to play… i'm starting to regret already, i didn't want all this drama bullshit but now i can't look away from it, fuck. I DONT NEED MORE DRAMA IN MY LIFE
>>4065 >pick eroge as a form of escapism to escape depression >turns out MC is basically me as teen >eternal beta orbiter and failed white knight >feels all over, cannot fap anymore I guess i saw it coming… wizards are only fuck toys in the eyes of succubi, at best. We are just there to fill the void left by Chads, if anything, no one will miss us when we die too. It hurts to be me right now but i'm not finished yet… fuck you life. I'll carefully choose my games from now on. Fuck this game, i bet succubi made it.
I want to become a better person so that when I play these games, I can feel worthy to interact with these succubi. I want to look attractive and look normal so that I can feel like they would choose me. They're not succubi though, so don't get the wrong idea. I want to immerse myself in these games.
Where do you guys usually get them? I have no money because I have no job, so I have no way to pay for them. Also, I have no money for a VPN to torrent. Going outside would be viable if it involves going to the library. I still have no virus scanner though, and I have a windows OS.
So the questions are such:
1. Where do you get these games. 2. Do you better yourself because of these games?
Bonus:
3. Do you improve yourself because of you waifu? Do you have a waifu from one of these games?
Sorry, it's hard to mention these other in the terms of a "game". How about good ol' ero ero?
>>4109 1. Fuwanovel and such, there's a lot of sites with indexes of ENG translated.
2. What? They're just games, I don't see how they'd better anyone.
3. I have a waifu, but from 2hu, not from eroge. She really helps with motivation, but using the terms better or worse to apply to changing oneself seems really relative.
>>4109 Doing it wrong, you won't enjoy any eroge thinking like that. Don't switch the MC with your real self, this is the pinnacle of immersion breaking and defeats the purpose of traps and futanari games as the protagonists. The next eroge you play, try to imagine yourself being the protagonist fully, with his mind and body. When a succubus calls the MC senpai or onii-chan, you should try to feel they're calling you and not the MC, this is immersion.
Forget your real self and imagine you're the MC as he is, of course having a mirror near your monitor IRL won't help so you need to forget real life and concentrate on the game for as long as you play. It's also a challenge if you're a hikky NEET like me but after some time we manage.
Also, I imagine someone trying to better themselves and kill demons to try to assure that even in eroges, they deserve the treatment that they're getting. For example, many people would not like an obese man physically, but if one were to change one's self, they could achieve a balance of self worth and the love from the girl's.
>>4117 You could start with classic games, there are a lot of good classic games translated. If you desire to play newer games or untranslated ones though, then you must learn at least basic japanese (this will also greatly improve immersion so i recommend it), you'll also need TranslationAggregator and ITH to hook the game's engine into a on-the-fly JP>ENG translator (like ATLAS), so japanese text will be translated in real time into english for you (although sometimes broken, you can still enjoy). If you want newer games, i'd strongly recommend keeping track of major companies or sale rankings in getchu, DLsite or erogamescape. Sites or blogs like Fuwanovel or erokuni.net are a great place to keep track of what got released (or leaked) to torrents for you to download as well.
First thing you do usually is search for a game with a fetish you like, then pick one with the art style that most suit your likings. Read the game story and see if you'll be able to immerse yourself into the game's proposed story and the MC. If you do, then comes in the important and difficult part, choosing your lover.
There are some games that are really boring but they have plenty of cute characters and vice-versa, you should always see the characters and their personalities and choose one you like the most. This will be your route, your aim to make her (or him) the happiest you can throughout the entire game, your decisions will be centered having this character in mind. A common mistake we all make when playing games with harem end is aim for all of the succubi on the first route. Zettai dame yo. This will break immersion and your choices will be vague most likely, so you'll please no one instead of making everyone happy. Some old school developers deliberately try to lure us into the harem route, but most of the time this leads to a bad end instead.
Try aim to make a single character the happiest you can, even knowing the game has a harem end. Although coldly speaking, this will make every other character who likes you a "bonus" in your route. Of course, there are times where you may aim for character A but midgame you start liking character B, feel free to change routes if you like, feeling guilt over a game means immersion too. Another things is, the harem end sometimes is only achievable after you see every character's endings. Sometimes, if the devs were in a good mood when they made the game, they may have laid down alternate routes to mix character A and B in the same route, leading to a harem end, really depends on the game and developer.
>>4120 That's why basic japanese is required. You can read and make most sentences understandable but eventually you won't be able to read a difficult kanji so turn your eyes to the text hooker and continue playing as if nothing had happened. Do this and you'll be learning japanese without even knowing it.
>>4065 >>4078 Here, disregard all that. What i described was just the prologue of the game and that's how you're suposed to feel, apparently. My fear of making succubi cry almost got the best of me yet again, i've grown a little in understanding succubi too. I do recommend this game.
>>4387 None of their albums have been dumped or leaked to the Internet yet it seems, can't find it anywhere, just on iTunes. AiCA is a pretty good singer. If you guys could search where you usually find your favorite J-Albums i'd be thankful.
Has anyone here played the Koiken games? This is a killer OP and i do have a thing for swordmaidens. I have a feeling if i play these games i'll get those romantic feelings back which will only hurt me again but if the games are worth it then i don't mind suffering for love yet again. Love is suffering.
I'm still playing CHUxPet and Sakuya's route hit me quite hard. It feels so strange when a girl confesses her love to you… i feel an immense fear of doing something wrong or making her sad or breaking her heart or making her cry… so many things i can do wrong at the same time..
Maybe that's why i fear succubi so much in real life… i fear i'll make them cry and fail to love them back. Maybe i should stop thinking about those feelings… as long as i can make them happy in eroges… i don't want to see another girl cry in this life.
I've finished Sakuya's route… turns out this game is very long which is a pro, however… The game has two possible endings with the three main characters, one ending is the Pet Ending and the other ending is the Happy Ending.
Basically, the Pet Ending is the ending you get when you answer the options in the most beta/white knight way possible, which means the succubi will play you like a fiddle everytime they feel like it. Aka the real life modern society ending. Yes, i've got the Pet Ending. Also, in the last CGs she raped me with a dildo…. fucking kill me.
I'm going to replay her route, go for the Happy Ending this time and rape this bitch until she likes it. I'm tired of being the good guy, it's time to unleash the beast.
>>2416 A few months back I calculated that throughout all my school years I had spent more time playing hentai games than actually interacting with anybody outside of school
>>6589 I'm playing the Aeka route, i think, i'm not using any walkthough. I'm really liking her but god fucking damn it i want to punch Kouhei so bad. What a fucking beta faggot. If i had a girlfriend like Aeka i would at least try to protect her or give up altogether on love. Being indecisive will only hurt a girl's feelings. I'm truly mad at this fucking faggot.
>>6951 >If i had a girlfriend like Aeka i would at least try to protect her or give up altogether on love. Being indecisive will only hurt a girl's feelings.
Sounds like you're speaking from experience, "wizard"
Just started プレイ!プレイ!プレイ!屍, the MC becomes mad after being rejected by his childhood friend when she discovered he only had a couple more days to live, so she dumped him. I don't like rape but these days i'm feeling some strange anger inside me and seeing succubi "suffer" from pleasure is making me strangely aroused. Maybe my white knight years are truly over. You've lost a great knight succubi, too bad.
Otama was a great game. Just finished it and it will leave a void in my heart. I'll backup in DVD since i may replay in the future when things get lonely. I like to replay old games and visit old friends from time to time.
So it's time to say goodbye… One last salute Ameri! I will miss you guys.. Until then!
Just uninstalled Kowaku no Toki. I should have seen the hentai anime beforehand to know what i would be getting myself into. Lesson learned, Tinker Bell games are not for me.
I hope no one of you know the feeling of picking a game expecting to meet a masochistic girl to be happy with throughout the entire game so you two can have a happy ending but instead, you get some horrible NTR tale where all the once pure succubi who loved the main character (you are here) are forced to become sex slaves to a hunchback and his horrible friends with all kinds of cruelty applied.
Hope i can forget the shit i saw in this game and hentai anime soon. I will be having a nightmare tonight. I am certain of it.
Will be starting 8人のM娘(マゾッコ) tomorrow, hope it does not crush my soul and shatter my heart like the previous one did.
And so one more year. It went by so fast. Like i was never here. Ah. So i have finally found. A game which i can relate to. Now you see me. Now you do not. Was i even here? It was all a dream. Good night. And thank you.
Finished Maggot Baits yesterday and i was disappointed, decided to play mainly because of the opening.
The game is pretty gory and has some extreme eroscenes but i'm not really into ryona/guro, this is too extreme for my tastes but at least some scenes were hot with laughable voice acting, i'm talking voice acting which would make misakura nankotsu proud here.
The game centers around Shogo, the MC, and takes place in a dark reality where crime runs rampant and goes unpunished, men were reduced to maggots, to be consumed by witches, who survive by draining their semen, using it as life-force and regeneration. succubi are seen as demons and often pursued and killed in "witch-hunts", another organization seeks to enslave witches and entrap them only for breeding purposes.
Actually, this is the bad ending but it's better than the other two, the eroscenes are hot, and has far less guro too. Aaaand no more ryona for me.
>>12926 I was disappointed by euphoria when I played it a few years ago. Couldn't fap to most of the H-scenes (except the one where Rika gets fucked on webcam, that was pretty hot), so I read it for the "plot" and found it to be convoluted and ridiculous. Is Maggot Baits the same way?
>>12940 Never played euphoria but i can see it's also made by CLOCKUP. Maggot baits is only worth for the bad ending, which is something you'd expect of futas entering a tentacle monster's lair. The 'good' ending it's a gorefest, i can't fap to succubi getting mutilated, even knowing they'll regenerate afterwards.
Like i said, only grabbed this because of the killer opening, my game preference is something among Mirai Kanojo, just above. Romance plus a few kinky eroscenes and i'm sold. Starting あなたの精液くださいな~私とボクとどっちがお好み?~ now.
>>13481 Maybe, it's the UN, only it seems a bit more serious because the chairman is from south korea and there are top-tier people in japan's party involved, so i don't know. I think these are just scares for the olympics but still worth keeping an eye on. Even if they do ban some eroges and animes, or ban ryona altogether it doesn't really affect me in the slightest. I don't enjoy ryona and such, also real women are dead and buried inside me in this life, so reality doesn't matter anymore to me. Feminists can ban everything and i still won't care, far too late for that.
Funny seeing the comments sections, some japanese are blaming those who illegally download anime for fansubbing and those who illegally get eroges and hentais in the west. I think it'd be too much truth for them to handle if the numbers came out, i'd bet 90% of western otakus get stuff illegally and still have the guts to criticize. But hey, who am i again.
I just finished the first chapter of Subarashiki Hibi. I'm not really sure what to think. Most of it was yuri SOL, which I don't have a problem with, but for a game that's hailed as one of the greatest and also deepest eroge of all time it left me with a bad impression. And then there are the random literary references and philosophical tangents. To me they were quite strange, out of place, and a chore to read. Just doesn't seem like there's context for anything. Also, what makes it strange in particular is half of the cast so far are cardboard cutouts (they are actual Kagami and Tsukasa clones, from Lucky Star). The finale of the first chapter was also nonsensical to me. I wonder if it would've made more sense if I read Night on the Galactic Railroad. Then again there's a whole fucking list of recommended reading for Subahibi.
I'm on the 2nd chapter now, and while it's actually kind of funny, I hope it gets better.
>>12942 Looks like I'll avoid it then, thanks. I can't fap to ryona or guro either.
>>13706 >>13489 I don't think you guys understand what really is going on here.
It's a battle between feminism and "lesser men", they want our kind erradicated, only chaddy mcchad must remain. Of course, i'm talking about the extremists, the common feminist succubus stick to the first principles, like protecting succubi all over the world and equalitarian rights. Truth be told i'm ok with this.
But the problem is the extremists are dangerous because they've made "ties" with higher people so to speak, they became powerful because braindeads supported their cause because of the motto only, but what they're pushing for is much more sinister behind the scenes, where the true show happens.
Take a look at this, http://news.nicovideo.jp/watch/nw2049539 Dora Tauzin, a feminazi just called all japense men pedophiles because they masturbate to loli. This. is. crazy. This is war gentlemen, and we've already lost in the west because loli was banned in some countries, now they're trying to strike the root of loli, ignoring even culture. YESロリNOタッチ has a deeper meaning behing they just don't get it, or maybe they do but refuse to believe. succubi may be physically weak but they're anything but dumb, they're using the UN as means for an end, i don't know if you guys know all the drama surrounding south korea and japan regarding rape but it's pretty bad. Koreans claim japan raped their succubus during occupation in WWII and demand apologies and money for it, but japan denies every claim. Feminists are using this as ammo because the main counsil is from south korea on the UN and given their victory here in the west they are bashing to ban lolis and violent games and anime against succubi altogether.
I wonder if they'll ban masturbation next? The sad thing is here in the west we have a different culture. A rotten one. I'm an otaku since the early 90's and i can tell you things have never been THIS bad. I've been to animecons in the early 00's, earlier than faggot moot was going with snacks and finding out about 2chan and declaring his love for yotsuba. We already hated popular anime back then because we knew it would bring normalfags to the culture, DBZ, Naruto we still enjoyed it because it's anime but there was a rule amongst us to say we hate it to scare those people away. But i guess it's no use, anything that it's enjoyable will get popular with time and bring the wrong kind of people to it. We see loli and SD as fap material, but normalfags see as real-life children drawn, this is the difference and the cancer. It were these people who banned loli or made it look bad in the west but we all have to suffer because a couple retards can't tell the difference between loli and CP. And between otakus and pedo scum. Our culture doesn't help either so battling against this in the west is waste of time, better to leave this dead and buried. But striking japan to ban all loli? That's like asking brazil to ban samba because the carnival is a dirty event where succubi are depicted as sexual objects. Feminazis are crazy. It's so obvious what they're trying to do, when they decide to protect succubi that aren't even real and ignoring REAL succubus suffering by the hands of ISIS and such atrocities in africa and other places as evolved as europe. Talk about priorities.
As the world falls apart into feminazi hands, I give my love to those who truly deserve it. Just started らぶきゅばす!~おんなのこあくま♀♂おとこのこあくま~
>>13715 It's amazing how /pol/fags can write such a long post that has absolutely no value of any kind. Do you remember 2009, Rapelay's rise to popularity? Do you remember the shitstorm back then? Do you remember what was the result? If not, let me remind you - NOTHING. Nothing changed. Unless the prime minister of japan publicly shoves his dick into a toddler's asshole, I can't really see anything bigger than that ever happening. And if that didn't change things, some meaningless UN meeting won't have an effect either.
>>13716 Yeah, yeah. Yes, i do and Rapelay was banned, gaining international attention. How is this nothing? I'm not what you call me but open your eyes and see what is happening. Even if nothing happens because i doubt too something like this would go through in japan, it's worth keeping an eye on these matters. When nyaa ceases tomorrow where you'll run to? Probably ask on 4chan what happened to it am i right? All i'm saying is broaden your horizons and gather the pieces to not be caught off guard, because we aren't to blame but we sure take a lot of shit quietly.
>>13717 Sure, the game itself was banned, but did it change anything? Did Illusion stop making games and go under? Were any other developers forced to close down? Did the laws in Japan change? No. >When nyaa ceases tomorrow where you'll run to? If you mean nyaa.se then uh…use a different tracker? I rarely ever use it as it is, there's plenty of other sources.
>>13718 It didn't because it was almost a decade ago, it's fucking 2016, where a single match can lit a forest fire. Even i refuse to believe time is flying by, even if we're under rocks safe and sound things in the world keep moving for the worse and affecting us. Nothing is happening right now but this feeling of being cornered to submission because a few whores don't enjoy what i do and i have to pay for someone else's sins isn't pleasant.
>>13719 But there isn't even anything to ignore, it's a made-up issue. That's precisely the point I'm making. The SJW's issue about poor wymyn is made-up, but so is the oh-they-will-ban-everything problem. Nothing will change, it's simple as that.
>>13720 >it's different because I said so It's not. Sure, there's a few more SJW's around nowadays but you know they are just a very, very loud and very small minority, right? Those people only have the power to change anything if they are dealing with extremely soft people who want to please everyone and don't want to offend anyone. Japanese are anything but that.
>>13721 Let's not clutter the thread, i get what you're saying but there was no need to offend me. So i'll not post about this anymore if nothing significant happens but still keep an eye on it because it's gaining popularity in japan and the マスゴミ (shitty media propaganda slang) is eating this alive. That's why i've posted about it in the first place.
I'm not saying things will change. All i'm trying to say is things can change fast and we should be prepared to minimize damage. My post wasn't to scare anyone or to make anyone angry, just to bring information. Maybe i stepped ahead and stated my own opinion together with it, so my apologies.
As you know, all eroges, have a message at start-up, which everyone seems to ignore. It says: >"This game is for use in Japan only! Sales to other countries are prohibited! Everything you see or read here are works of fiction and not real!!"
>>13723 No, but taking them this seriously and believing that it's really some great conspiracy that tries to get rid of us certainly does make one a /pol/fag. Anyway, let's not derail this thread any further as >>13722 says.
>>13721 >Nothing will change, it's simple as that. I don't understand how you are so sure. Things are changing. Just a while ago Japan banned possession of CP because of international pressure. The world as a whole is changing. I don't expect loli to be banned next year, but who knows 10 years from now? 20?
It certainly is wiz-related but from what i've seen so far into the game i think succubi would enjoy playing this more. The MC is a sadist apprentice wizard and enjoys "torturing" his succubi slaves, so…
The game seems a short nukige but nothing too extreme and doesn't look like it has many options to choose from, the story looks pretty straightfoward too but has nice graphical animations and smooth screen transitions. Reminds me of >>3371 but i hope i'm mistaken because that game was really short, even if it was partly animated.
>>13728 This game was short as expected but for the price tag i think the cost/benefit is worth it. This game was also made by Digital Cute (Rush brand), the same company who made the Burunyanman series. Explains why i came so much to it(;´Д`) this kind of artstyle really makes my blood flow.
>>2420 I'll give monobeno series a try but not right now, there are some small games and nukiges i want to unload from the backlog before starting something this long and time consuming (2 main games + 4 append disks). My interest has grown on these series mainly because of the soundtrack and because i'm seeing Lose's newest game まいてつ is topping all eroge charts on magazines like BugBug in Japan, so the previous games must be really good too. Another game that is getting a lot of attention is Iris' ちっちゃくないもんっ! mainly because of the controversy on the character's ages and all this drama unfolding currently at the UN with lolis and all. Of course, i also want to play maitetsu, due to release later this month, even the characters animations (e-mote like) look really well done (video).
Aaaaah~ Aries does it again! So.. cute…..Yuzukoooooooooooooo The backlog keeps on growing, stop creating characters this cute… stop (´;ω;`) i can't play this many in such a short ammount of time.
>>14042 I don't speak moon, but from the pictures on their website they look VERY young, I mean ~5 years old type of young. That's a bit much even for loli standards.
>>14042 This maker (Iris) makes mainly lolicon games and it's popular amongst lolicons over there. Even so, some don't approve of characters being this young but these aren't nukiges, they're eroges proper.
You may have known recently the game Teaching Feeling was banned in korea and angered some of them. This game is a bit like princess maker games but you have only one slave loli, her previous owner abused and tortured her, so it's up to you to take care of her now. I've never played it but if you've played Wanko to Kurasou, it goes somewhere along the lines of the Silviana arc.
Also, 2D characters aren't people, it's all in our heads. Like another wiz said in the fap thread, some people are able to cum hard for ryona, guro and toddlercon but for some others just seeing some pictures is enough to make the cock go flat and lose the urge to masturbate. Maybe this is fetish territory and for this there's no explanation.
>>3305 I've done some work in VN translation before. You have lots of people from Asia with mediocre to good Japanese and shitty English on the one hand, and lots of people with mediocre Japanese on the other hand. It's very rare to find someone with good Japanese, good English, and high motivation to translate VNs, when they could be doing freelance translation and getting paid instead.
>>14263 because high school unlike college is a time in you life where you don't have a choice who you interact with nor any real responsibilities either so it's a win win ,to introduce new "wacky" characters and also have scenes play out longer
>>14825 Some time around August all the images on /jp/ were lost and couldn't be recovered. So any of the posts on /jp/ prior to that will only have thumbnails.
>>14824 >>14263 I recall the characters in Clannad didn't go to college after highschool, the blond one became a salary man, tomoya did manual slave job, the purple-long-haired became a kindergarten teacher, i can't remember the rest. It would seem the japanese aren't very interested in college or makes it harder to figure a story.
>>14263 Saya no Uta is barely a college game, they could've just called them workmates or something, though I guess them being medical students has some effect on the story.
I have nothing to contribute, but my interest in this topic has slightly come back, and I have also noticed that this thread is on the absolute bottom of the catalog, which goes against my interest
Bumping because I think this is one of the oldest threads on wizchan now and it doesn't deserve to die. I'm reading Saihate no Ima right now (written by the same guy who did Cross Channel and Kazoku Keikaku) and it's pretty good. The beginning has mainly just been slice of life stuff typical to most VNs but it sometimes drops hints about the world being slightly off, such as the protagonist having to take medicine to dull his senses.I think I've just entered the first succubus's route now and it's starting to pick up a bit with some pretty clear indications of child abuse and a long rant by her single mother on how society's views on raising children are wrong. I've heard it gets crazier later on so I'm bracing myself.
>>27644 I always end up with the Christmas Cake my first play through for some reason. I prefer the harem endings the most in most VN and H-games that allow it.
>>27652 Not like choices in most VNs even matter in the sense they're designed to change to each individual one and not just an arbitrary counter for which succubi's route you get railroaded on.
Any wizzies here have recommendations for winter or Christmas themed VN's (or just stuff with a winter setting in general)? Untranslated is fine. Bored of the stuff I'm currently reading (supposedly 'pinnacles of the medium' but they're not my cup of tea) and I want to try something new that fits the season, but I can't find anything that really grabs my interest. Might just end up rereading Parfait, Amagami, and White Album 2 like I do every year around this time.
>>29032 For winter setting I liked G Senjou no Maou. I haven't read much visual novels but I liked that one, its a mistery "battle of wits" kind of vn.
>>29033 I used to see it posted on imageboards a lot but I never got around to reading it. Didn't realize it had a winter setting either, neat. I'll check it out, thanks wiz.
So am I the only one who finds it hard to read Fate Stay Night? The effects are cool, the music is nice but the constant info-dumping certainly isn't. Also, the fights are good but they are short compared to the slice of life bullshit and I don't think it is worth enduring all the sol.
If you don't want to torrent then there's ErogeDownload and some forums that post download links, but they're usually uploaded in 10 or more parts to external sites, so it can be a pain in the ass to get them. There's a program called JDownloader that I've heard might help speed up the process, but I've never used it so I don't know much about it.
>>29086 I read it years ago but it does requires a lot of patience. The first route is one giant infodump so the action is constantly interrupted by that, the second one picks up the pace and the third one is a slog at first due to too many slice of lifes cooking scenes, but when it gets good it gets really good. It also doesn't help that the writing is kinda obtuse.
>>29092 Thanks, but I'm having trouble finding anything on the site. Amagami SS: no seeders, Oreimo - no results. Yosuga no Sora: one file with almost no seeders, currently none of the 2 are online. 2GB will take forever to download like this.
Most of the material seems to be in Japanese and even after searching a lot of games anons posted in this thread, it yielded none to sparse results. It's hard being a gaijin in this world, I think I'll have to learn Japanese to be able to actually access and play a wide variety of VNs…
>>29095 I should've clarified that there are 2 different sites, the one I linked is for +18 content. If you're trying to find games that aren't +18 like Amagami or Oreimo you can try
If you're trying to get games for consoles, though, you might be better off looking at ROM sites or downloading parts of the full game sets for consoles off of archive.org. >Most of the material seems to be in Japanese and even after searching a lot of games anons posted in this thread, it yielded none to sparse results. It's hard being a gaijin in this world, I think I'll have to learn Japanese to be able to actually access and play a wide variety of VNs…
A lot of stuff isn't officially translated, so you might have to search for the game and patch separately. You might want to try searching using the Japanese name of the game and then searching for the patch separately.
>>29093 Actually, I read the Fate route a couple of years ago and I found it really good - thinking back on it, maybe it was because I had crap taste back then. Then I ended up reading the contents of the other two routes on the net so maybe that is why I have such low motivation to read them. >It also doesn't help that the writing is kinda obtuse. "Oh no, my mind is frozen!" "A chill ran down my spine…" "Her feminine figure captures my eyes." "I want to be a superhero but…(repeated endlessly)" "General rambling about the fire 10 years ago" "General infodump about something that was already explained" "My mind stopped" "My spine became like ice" etc. etc.
>>29099 Add to that the endless discussion about cooking and food. I swear the word "chopsticks" is used at least one thousand times in the novel. >Then I ended up reading the contents of the other two routes on the net so maybe that is why I have such low motivation to read them I would recommend giving them a try if you have the time, Heaven's Feel is pretty good and Unlimited Blade Works has the best pace out of the three in my opinon.
>>29096 Thanks for the help, but this is all too much pain and effort for my retarded brain. I think I'll just have to stick to the simple easy to access english steam VNs or learn Japanese, which I'm not too inclined to do.
Does anybody have or know where to find Yosuga no Sora? Ive been looking for it for a while and it seems that all torrents are dead, weeks and with some torrents months have gone by without a single megabyte being downloaded.
>>29132 >>29173 Google "yosuga no sora hako re" and use one of the working google drive links in the first google result. Haven't tested it but it should work.
I finished reading the remake of the original White Album yesterday. Not as good as the more popular sequel but I still enjoyed it. Ogata Rina route in particular was really good, to the point of being on par with the quality of the second game's routes, despite being much shorter. Rest was fairly average but I still liked the somewhat melancholy atmosphere and the winter setting.
>>29132 This one has 3 seeders according to the site.
How do I go about playing Amagami fellas? First off, VNDB says there was a patch done in 2012, but 4chan /jp/ says an English translation is still being undergone, so I just want a conclusive verdict on it, only really want to play Tsukasa's arc so I don't mind if other ones are incomplete desu also will I need a PS2 emulator or something
The translation itself is done now (and has been for over a year, I think) but the editing is still at only ~30%, and they're not releasing another patch until it's complete, apparently. >also will I need a PS2 emulator or something
That and probably an ISO of the game. PCXS2 should be fine. I've had slowdowns on it with certain sections of other games before, but Amagami is the one game that never gave me a problem, despite having a fairly old computer.
Bump because I don't want this thread to get pushed off while I'm not looking.
I'm reading 水月 right now. Finished the maid route and am now going through the one for the childhood friend. It's pretty good and comfy, has quite a few references to Japanese mythology and a few supernatural elements as well. Also makes it hard to differentiate between what's real and what's a dream at times.
How do you feel about anime VN adaptations as compared to ordinary VNs? What are the pros and cons of them, in your opinion?
Personally I prefer watching anime VN adaptations. Maybe I'm an uncultured swine. I prefer to just passively enjoy the atmosphere and music and the semi-coherent VN-adapted story. I don't like having to actively interact with the computer to move things along. Audiovisual production quality is higher with the anime too, typically.
>>31632 I haven't watched many VN adaptations, but my impression is that they take the VN and then arbitrarily crop and butcher the story nd characters to be suited for an animated show. Not a good recipe in my eyes.
>>31632 I liked the Kanon adaptation more than the visual novel (though I only played ~half of the visual novel to be fair). Mainly because it just piles on the suffering that happens to the MC in each route sequentially, which leads to some fairly good ending episodes where he's just reminiscing about all the shit that happened.
AIR was decent at first but kind of got weird in the last few episodes. I never read the VN so I don't know how faithful to the original it was though.
Amagami and Amagami SS were both pretty good adaptations although they left out some dialogue and events that were pretty important in the developing relationships between characters.
Really I think how good adaptations are is heavily dependent on the genre and story of the VN and which route(s) they choose to focus on. I personally prefer VNs because they're longer, give more time for character development, and put more focus on a character's internal thoughts, as opposed to just dialogue. Adaptations often have to cut out a lot of details to make the story fit within the allotted time.
Not pornographic but I enjoyed this visual novel on the PSP called Hayarigami. It's a supernatural detective game but depending on your choices you can either stick with scientific explanations when trying to solve the cases, or you can acknowledge the existence of supernatural elements at play. There's also an in-game database that gets filled up as you play with all sorts of neat trivia about urban myths, supernatural legends, psychology, etc.
Are there any good eroges/visual novels that have a loner good ending/route? Couldn't find the appropriate tag on vndb. At the top of my head, I can remember that katawa shoujo had just the bad loner end and everlasting summer had an actual loner good end, I'm looking for something like that. Another question: is there any good/vanilla routes in school days? Recently started playing it and as soon as I saw just a hint of fucked up shit(according to my tastes), I just turned it off immediately. People were saying it was good. Is the fucked up shit part of the reason it is good? 'Cause I think I'm too innocent to fully appreciate it. I would like to finish the game though. But if it doesn't have a straight vanilla route I won't bother. Maybe I'll come back to it later when I 'm jaded enough
I've just started getting into eroge as they tend to be quite simple to read and so are good for practicing to learn japanese. The short ones look good for me because even with my glacial reading speed I can get through it relatively quickly. I spent some time looking at incest, yuri, loli and trap games on vndb. It's hard to believe that I found so many good ones instantly and I was only focusing on the ones that looked easy to read.
Currently I'm reading 如月真綾の誘惑 although I don't really know if I'm going to continue because I'm starting to think that onee-san characters tend to be condescending and way too forward for me. If it gets too much I'll switch to 家の妹 so that I can enjoy a laid back imouto experience. Really, I just want to play it now because this succubus is too cute for her own good but I'm still waiting for the torrent to seed. Hurry up you damn jews.
>>33939 I've been trying to read eroge but I'm getting my ass kicked every time, the dialgue is easy but descriptions and narration just kill me and most of the text is exactly that.
Can you recommend some others that are easy? also you have any tips to improve reading?
>>33953 Pick a game that looks easy on vndb, preferably one that has a modern day setting and lots of slice of life scenes and then have a look at the screenshots. If you can read the majority of words in every screenshot that the game has then it's probably going to be an easy one. The easiest way to read is using yomichan/rikaisama and the clipboard inserter extension so that you can display all the text from the text hooker on your web browser and look up any word you don't know instantly.
Have a look through here if you want to know how to set it up. The most important thing though is to keep persevering. For me, learning the secret of what cute 2d succubi are actually saying is one of the few things I actually enjoy doing so I just keep trying no matter how hard it gets.
Posting here since the other thread reached the bump limit - thanks to the wiz >>32483 who recommended other denpage to me, in particular Kusarihime. I finally got around to reading it last night after taking a half-year long break from visual novels due to work, and I have to say it came pretty close to surpassing Sayonara wo Oshiete as my favorite visual novel.
The start of the game is mostly the typical small-town countryside Japanese town setting, with a few weird mythological elements thrown in. The protagonist has amnesia and returns to his hometown with his family in the hopes that it'll help him recall his past. The first few days mostly consist of some simple slice of life stuff and exposition, with introductions to a bunch of key characters. But a few weird occurrences tell you something is off. Then you're introduced to the time-loop system, where you have to keep restarting the game and reliving the same few days with some very vague and limited memory of the past loops. Each time things go a little differently, and as you progress more and more of the protagonist's dark past is revealed.
(spoilering my general thoughts since they spoil the remainder of the game)
The gradual revealing of the protagonist's past was done very well. Every so often you get a memory that comes up - sometimes with voice only, often just snippets of conversations - which hint at something darker and deeper. Then the game will eventually reveal the whole scene - sometimes only after you've gone through several time loops. There are also some scenes which come up after the reveal which has the protagonist and the other character involved in his memory going on separate monologues in their thoughts. It could've been really corny and hackneyed if executed poorly, but they did a brilliant job of placing these scenes in exactly the right place, and juxtaposed the thoughts of the protagonist and the other character involved so skillfully, that it really hit hard. The first of these scenes is with Ise, a classmate in college, and reveals the emotional turmoil as misunderstandings between the 2 cause them to go their separate ways without ever revealing their true feelings to each other. It's hard to describe without the full context - everything that comes before this scene really serves to strengthen its impact - but it's executed excellently and not in a poor way like many types of these situations are.
The scenes with the other characters are also brilliantly done. The memories with Natsuki are kind of NTR-ish but they're done very elegantly and not in the typical forced way that many such situations are written. Seiji (the only male with a portrait) was amazing and I think the loop focusing on him was actually my favorite. The mother's and NBR sister's routes were a little weaker than the rest but still pretty powerful. The gradual reveal of the relationship between the protagonist and his deceased sister Juri was also great. Very nicely paced and did a great job of revealing how twisted yet loyal her love was.
What really prevented me from really loving this more than Sayooshi were the last few loops and the ending. After the loop focusing on Jun (the NBR sister) it kind of goes into sci-fi territory, revealing that Kurame - the seemingly supernatural entity that's been causing the time loops - is some being sent from another planet and is destined to perform what seems like mass-euthanization of life on each planet, and apparently Itsuki, the protagonist, has a similar power. I don't think it was necessarily hard to follow like I've seen some people say (though there are still a few details I'm unclear on) but it just felt like the scope of everything increased so much that all the buildup with the protagonist's tragic memories felt like a waste. I was able to follow the story still but I didn't feel as invested as the game reached its conclusion. On the plus side some of the scenes with Itsuki's father during those loops that reveal all the fucked up things happening was really good. But it feels like all of that was shafted in favor of focusing on this new sci-fi stuff and awakened powers. Also Jun's route (and arguably all the routes before it) kind of set up the reader with feelings of wanting to see revenge against Kurame, but that gets thrown out within several minutes as the protagonist does a complete 180 and no longer feels hatred towards Kurame. So there's really no catharsis.
In the end you get 3 choices - destroy Earth and go on exploring galaxies with Kurame to euthanize other planets, destroy yourselves, or get reborn as humans. I'm not a fan of any of the ending although I guess destroying Earth would be what I'd go for. Despite the poor ending sequence, I do have to say that the prose at those points was really good - better than probably any other eroge I've played so far - and made it worth reading, even though I wasn't as invested in the actual plot anymore.
Overall an amazing game. Makes great use of its fairly small cast of characters to depict all sorts of the twisted aspects of human relationships. If the ending had been different and made better use of all the build-up from the rest of the game rather than throwing most of it away, it would've easily been my favorite visual novel.
I will probably start Kurai Nichiyoubi tonight so I'll post here again once I finish it. And then I'll probably give Odeon a shot.
>>2461 I bought whatever release of this was on Jlist in 2013/2014, played it once, and never touched it again. it's a very nice story with good writing and atmosphere, but under no circumstances could I do any of the non Aeka routes. The thought of her being bullied to suicide while the MC dicked around with either drugged up loli or mawmy was a boner breaker. The writers had a missed opportunity to have it so if you decided to ignore Aeka, your other male friend would hook up with her, so at least she would be safe while you indulged in uncharted pussy, but from what I remember he is also a near bully and just doesn't give a flip about her feelings. Maybe that's how it actually went down but I'm not touching it again.
What an existence, to have an inconvenient level of compassion for pixels while we scoff at and walk by real people crying for help all around us. Truly a wiz feeling.
>>34968 >What an existence, to have an inconvenient level of compassion for pixels while we scoff at and walk by real people crying for help all around us. Truly a wiz feeling.
That's because pixels don't betray you and talk behind your back after you help them, there was a small ugly succubus in middle school, everyone said that she was fugly and wanted nothing to do with her, I talked to her sometimes because I felt bad for her without being real friends we used to talk sometimes about stuff.
She got a bit better in High School and I tried to talk with her then, she wanted nothing to do with me and even heard her talking shit about me behind my back with her new friends, calling me a weirdo and a virgin loser.
That's what I get for being nice to people, the vast majority don't deserve it and they wouldn't be nice to if you were the one in trouble.
After finishing Summer Pockets Reflection Blue, I got back into continuing the 暁の護衛 trilogy, the later instalments are just as fun as the first one. I do have a bias towards ojou-sama heroines, but while this particular work is lacking a bit on the art and music front, the dialogue and banter between the characters is brilliant and a pleasure to read.
It's more of a story/drama/comedy focused work over a purely romance oriented one, but that only makes for a more exciting story.
