A soothing opening; a good contrast to the tense atmosphere of the anime itself. Never understood the abrupt ending, though.
I like Monster's OP a lot, it feels calm and slighly unnerving. A different feel than a lot of OPs. I'm also a fan of Welcome to the NHK's and Steins;Gate's too.

Unironically one of my favourite openings. Stupid and contrasts with the show a lot, but it's one of those precious things of the past.

It's one of my recent favourites as well but I feel that the director of the anime chose that song for purpose. The point of it is to contrast the story. See how the opening animation focuses on Guts only. In the story Guts goes through failings and suffers, so instead of having a song emphasizing his depression, they put in one that challenges it, with an upbeat tone and positive lyrics.

the idea behind this anime was pretty stupid (lets have a weird cousin and psycho love triangle) with probably a little over the top gore and violence, and the message was about inhumanity and discrimination, but probably one of the best opening theme songs.

While I like the song they kind of over used it during the show to the point that it lost all emotional effect.
Then again the whole show has no restraint, which is what I like about the show (and what most hate about the show).

I only watched this show this year but it feels so nostalgic to me. It's such a great opening, really has the feel of early 00s children's anime.

The show failed horrendously in Japan which is why they told the English dubbers to do whatever they wanted with it, so I doubt it's anything worth watching.

This is a myth. The dub scriptwriters basically made that up to justify their butchery of it. The show has had multiple reruns which doesn't indicate that it was poorly recieved.

hnk2 has many many issues and i don't recommend anyone watch it unless you're a mega fan of the first.

Very nostalgic for this one. One of the first series I bought as Chinese bootleg DVD box-set in the early internet days. (the manga is much better though) I remember being heartbroken and madly in love with Karin.

This show made me realize that I probably had bad taste, but that I was totally ok with that since I enjoyed it despite fully realizing how dumb and at times shitty the show is.
And also the OP song is great and the animation to go with it is hype as hell and really fun. I remember back in the day actually learning enough of the chorus to sing along with it.

Here's an anime I watched when I was sedated out of my gourd on antipsychotics after being released from the mental hospital. Dragon Ball Super and the accompanying threads on /a/ is also a great experience if you chemically inactivate most of your brain. I'm in a sort of hell now where I am too sedated to do anything productive but not sedated enough to be perpetually stoned while watching anime for mexicans and little succubi.

It took place in an underground city had the police raiding a vaguely warhammer like cult with an eye symbol on their hoods. Idk if it was from the same show or not but I'd love to see it again.
