I'm interested in a number of female-majority hobbies, so I'd went there a number of years ago to try and talk about them with people who are more likely to share my interests. I was disappointed though, the people there didn't seem to have much interest in my hobbies, I had a thread which was up for a number of months and I got maybe 100-150 replies before 404ing, but I really thought I'd get some more interesting discussion on my hobby there but most of the people seemed a bit too normal to really be into the kinda stuff I'm into. I'd think it could be an ok place but the normie-style posts, of which there are many, really drive people like me away.
