put up the best songs from an anime ost

Not a fan of the anime, but after all this time it's still one of my favorite BGM tracks from anime.

Haruhi has some fantastic tracks.

Nichijou has one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard. It always brings a tear to my eye. Not because it's sad, in fact, it's not sad at all, it's just so beautiful and calm, and makes me reminisce a lot.
It's worth every single gigabyte it takes on my hard drive.

File: 1473683150409-0.jpg (4.59 MB, 6334x4345, 6334:4345, Rebellion OST.jpg) ImgOps iqdb

Madoka series is yet another example of anime having a really good soundtrack. But I personally prefer Rebellion's OST - it has more emotion to it.

I hate Rebellion with all my heart so that's probably why I don't like it's OST as much. Anyway here's another good one

This summer I finally got around to watching Monster, I actually used to work as a security guard and on every shift I would watch an episode or two to help pass the time. Such a great show and the characters are what made it memorable. I can't stand watching the typical anime shows nowadays but I really liked Monster.

Good movie

Your old job sounds really nice. Is it a summer-only job, or did you just quit?

this movie and this soundtrack give me a lot of melancholy sentiment

>This summer I finally got around to watching Monster

Damn, that made me feel old

All this thread has done was inspire me to download all Haruhi OSTs.
And it has reminded me that Kaiji had a solid soundtrack as well.

Non Non Biyori.
Most of the OST is really good. Especially the violin/piano ones.

reminds me of animal crossing music. very nice

I've been planning to watch Kaiji for quite some time now. Thanks for the reminder, and with that, is the show really worth the watch? What's so special about it?

Just watch it. And if you like it read/watch Akagi, then read Kurosawa and Buraiden Gai.

Fucked up.

Kill me Baby.

The OST itself isn't masterfully made, and doesn't present itself as one, but what I like about it though, is the little piece of comedic backstory it gives.

Both the soundtrack and the covers imply that the compositions were made by Yasuna and Sonya, which is really clever, to my mind. The whole soundtrack is discontinous in terms of musical instruments that are used: the guitar can be interfered by drums and then with PC Engine sounds, one thing can be interwined with another e.t.c., which also implies that Yasuna and Sonya are awful at writing music.

Nevertheless, some of it's soundtracks are pretty good, and such deliberate "incompetence" and discord only further impart the absurd atmosphere of the anime.

File: 1475079143812-0.jpg (53.53 KB, 750x750, 1:1, .jpg) ImgOps iqdb

>lolis performing mating ritual.swf
>pop music playing in the background
>even more, it's "shake dat booty muh niggue" kind of pop music

Just. No.

Here I clicked on it expecting the OP. This is fine too, but it's incredibly mellow in comparison to what I was expecting.

File: 1475838088307-0.jpg (2.13 MB, 5704x2867, 5704:2867, Scan (10).jpg) ImgOps iqdb

As far as I'm concerned, the soundtrack is really underrated, which is a shame, really.

Compositions are simple, just as the feeling of nonchalance they convey. The instruments seldom overlap each other, and when they do, they sound like if they were taken from different, yet somewhat similar songs - and it's not something to be taken as a bad thing, for it works in favor of the OST, assisting in creating the aforementioned sense of nearly childish serenity and carelessness, with undertones of sweet reverie.

Seriously, give it a listen. It's really good.

I just wanted to say KAAAAAZOOOO!!

Laid back, very nice.

I like this a lot, nice find.

Koufuku Graffiti

Sadly, there are no songs from the OST uploaded to YouTube, except for the hackneyed Preview Song, aka "Taberu", which is absolutely not enough to grasp the whole beauty of the soundtrack.

You won't find it on torrent sites, though. I'm pretty sure the artist tracks down all of her albums that had been uploaded to the internet and reports them for copyright infringement. And who can blame her for that, if that's the case?

Or probably the soundtrack shares it's lot with Yuyushiki's OST and is simply forgotten by many.

Most likely it's the latter, which is a pity.

Whatever is the reason, I managed to get my hands on the soundtrack. And it's awesome.

It sounds like something out of a good Disney film. The music would neately fit the european province: the instruments chosen are mainly european, and are made to sound the way they'd have sounded had they gotten into the hands of a traditional european village music band.

Generally, it's very tranquil and cheerful, fitting the ambiance of this slice of life anime just right.

You can download it here: http://www.shi-no-kakaku.com/2015/03/edible-melodies-koufuku-graffiti.html
You really should give it a listen as well.

And a special gracias to Tacoland anime music fanciers: we wouldn't get to listen to this lovely piece if it wasn't for you. I don't know why I wrote this.

I couldn't get into the show, but you made me want to try the OST.

Both this and ysys soundtracks are on AB and for sale on amazon

Hibike Euphonium

Nothing much to say about this one, I'm at a loss for words.
The music (Well, most of it, barring the somewhat comedic ones) would fit perfectly for an orchestra hall.

And frankly, I'm sad I won't ever be able to experience it's sound with all the acoustics that buildings for orchestras and operas provide, because not even good headphones manage to produce the sound equally qualitative to the one you can hear in the music halls.

On the whole, the soundtrack emphasizes the classical instruments over anything else, and other instruments are seldom used, which leaves us with what can easily be described as one huge overture to a great theater play.

If only we got a great theater play instead of lesbians blowing into the winds.

Did you try searching for the OST using the Japanese name?
Because I found a torrent of the OST using 幸腹. Has a few seeds, too.

I can blame her, because I am poor and can't buy a japanese CD via Amazon like rich people. And not because she fuck the torrents I going to have money.

Makes me happy as fuck for one moment.

Have some russian Umaru. Probably twice as bad as the original one.

Thread ruined.

I actually like Russian versions of openings.

not bad, i've downloaded this dub, even if it's not as good as opening, this will be the third time i watch first season of S&W, so whatever.
that russian cover of Umaru is really worse than original, the lyrics are very, very simplified.

that dub turned out to be pretty bad. why is this thread so high?

File: 1479681472075.webm (2.54 MB, 763x720, 763:720, closing_time.webm) ImgOps iqdb

Brings me joy whenever I listen to it…………..

That's a good one. It's where I got all my interest years ago.

File: 1479683250989.webm (3.85 MB, 594x480, 99:80, naru.webm) ImgOps iqdb

It's nice song, that's all I have to say.

Here I am with my trash again.

This one is rather interesting, as it combines music genres ranging from modern, funky ones, to somewhat folk-ish South Eastern tunes with gypsy motifs.

In spite of its variability and differences throughout the playlist, it managed to fit the anime well, helping with raising suspense when needed and really conveying that feeling of a "different", underground and criminal Tokyo, that is also a boiling cauldron with all sorts of people and nationalities in it.

Never watched this anime, but fuck, there's something about the succubus on the left that makes her look like Sonozaki and Chidori from Kiznaiver combined.

My alltime favorite.

And the first ED from SaC aswell.

Yoko kanno is great.

Kiznaiver - your daily dose of teens suffering from drama and retarded government projects to an oddly enjoyable mix of all sorts of contemprorary music with a cyberpunk-ish/ambient feel to them.

Anime that has made me a full-fledged animefag I am now will be ten years old next year.

Oh for fuck's sake.

The best one?
Here you are.
Also the best vg soundtrack.
All your feels are belong to us.

The song that made me fall in love for enka.

NHK has some cool songs in its OST.

Wonder how I never gave them much attention while watching.

here to stay

Tatami Galaxy

Over 70 Replies to the thread and nobody has mentioned this one yet?

I know, I know. But the thread is about soundtracks, and Tatami Galaxy has a pretty good score.

Nomi Yuuji is great.

Sakkijarven polka

Kyoukai no Kanata

Anime turned out to be pretty meh, but the soundtrack is superb, and somewhat reminds me of Caroline's score.

Steins;Gate OST has a great 00's vibe to it, it's hard not to notice it.

I also love the "Ringing" tracks, which are composed in the style of Sega Mega Drive music. There is one that sounds like something from GBA, too.

Everyone has to start somewhere.

Taniuchi Hideki makes some kickass soundtracks.
Akagi's and Kaiji's were also done by him

Hatsukoi Limited

Soundtrack sounds like something you'd hear in a well-made VN, rather than anime, but it's nice - in fact, I like it better that way.

i like it a lot, is short and sweet. the background picture interests me as well, very inspiring and makes me want to make something

Can anyone recommend any good sites to download soundtracks from? I've been using BakaBT for a while, but their seed/leech policy is utterly retarded, especially if you've squandered your first 25 Gbs on Soundtracks or other trash nobody cares about.

There's a workaround for that.
1. Log out of your bakabt account
2. Go to search engine of choice
3. Input "[series name] OST bakabt" (or just "[anime name] bakabt" if you're looking for an anime series)
4. You can access the bakabt page and download without an account. You won't have to worry about the seed/leech policy.

Always gives me the chills.

When I first found this song on YouTube, I liked it enough to watch the first season of the anime. Although I didn't enjoy it in the end, I still think the ED is praiseworthy.

Thanks a lot Wiz. I'm having a blast now.

How come I couldn't figure something as simple as that out myself, though?

Alternatively you can search through bakabt using your account, copy the URL address, log out, then go directly to the torrent's page and download anonymously.

Such a glorious classic. Is the show itself worthwhile?

First season's soundtrack is great.

I'm surprised that nobody posted something from Clannad yet. It's pretty memorable.

Reminds me of the Don't Starve theme.

It absolutely is. It's quite fun and an easy watch.

the perfect character theme

School Rumble ending (Full version)

Another hidden and underappreciated gem of anime music. Apparently so underrated, there are no videos of it on YouTube, which is a shame, no, a crime.

55 Tracks of absolute variety to ensure that the music will suit your tastes. It's great.

The ending theme to this was great in a lot of ways, but there reason it's not on youtube is because it always got taken down for copyright reasons.

They've also recorded a few rakugo skit. Only those two have been subbed.
"2-D musume" by Anrakutei Kukuru a parody of Jugemu.

"Time-Leap Soba" by Buratei Marii, a parody of Time

I just started watching this again, and It's still just as great as I remember it.
Such a shame it never got a 3rd season.

Yea it is a shame. At least the manga is decent though. It truly is a timeless classic.

Sasaki Sayaka’s Ankou Ondo
Anglerfish Dance!

Is Hideki Taniuchi actually out of jail again?

Not really soundtrack, but great character song nonetheless.

>BakaBT now has an obligatory login screen, and you can't go around their retarded Seed-Leech policy anymore

What a great piece of news.

This, and Shin gakki 3 & 6 are my favorite tracks.

Superb soundtrack from an underrated composer.

File: 1492958799208.jpg (217.79 KB, 1600x1200, 4:3, Nanoka.jpg) ImgOps iqdb

Not mentioning that the anime itself is criminally underrated.

He released a new track for the last year's Grammy Awards, by the way.

May this thread rise from the depths with this "To Heart" comfy score!

Beat me to it by a couple of months. Clannad's OST is something I listen to a lot.

For those who play guitar and like the Koi Kaze ost, go to a site called game tabs and find the transcription for Kanashiki Omoi. On a classical its damn beautiful.

>It's been 10 years since Lucky Star anime finished airing
I never would have thought this would hit me in the feels the way it actually did.

Cardcaptor Sakura has a God tier OST.

Do VN OSTs count? I'm playing Tomoyo After finally. Too bad it doesn't have an anime adaption

I love the woodwinds in this. The arrangement is much like those in other WWII-era series, especially video games like MoH and the early CoDs, but of course this is much more upbeat.

That hurts me deep down too. What has happened in the time between then and now? Nothing. I might as well have been watching it yesterday. I remember someone was uploading the episodes as they released to YouTube, and I would have to download 3 parts per episode with a third party subscription website, convert them to MP4 with another service, then put them on my PSP to watch at school under the stairwell. Just a dumb memory that will stick with me until I die.

That's a nice memory.

Samurai Champloo had such a great soundtrack, I should re-watch it again.

Just wanted to make sure you watched Miyakawa-ke no kuufuku. It's one of the spin-offs, I missed it myself and only watched it recently.

I wish another anime like bleach came out, the ost was perfect and the fight scenes were awesome.

Witch Hunter Robin

I can't recall a better anime adaption of a videogame. It had all the characters, tracks, original character relationships, and then added a bunch more on top. The actual game adaption of the anime was really good too.

Composed and orchestrated by Kosuke Yamashita

File: 1572324883241.jpg (359.13 KB, 1500x1073, 1500:1073, Konachan.com - 256610 samp….jpg) ImgOps iqdb

Konosuba's OST is pretty great

Chika Dance is stuck in your head now

File: 1573270482208.jpg (129.21 KB, 720x416, 45:26, 1570549331056.jpg) ImgOps iqdb

i can no longer watch this without wanting to blow my brains out just from from the horrors that normalfags created out of this. they ruin everything good.

File: 1573326404917.mp4 (4.06 MB, 640x360, 16:9, eva 01 dance.mp4) ImgOps iqdb

I still like this. Though it's one of the few chika dances I ever saw before the meme died in a month like all the other normgroid memes.

Ristarte Dance ~ Shinchou Yuusha Ending ~ tries but it's only half as good as the Chika dance.

that 3d model dancing is so stiff. "Tit for Tat" OP is way better.

Can't find a separate video for it but I really like the song at 19:25 (couloir des vanites). 17:32 and 20:58 are both good as well. Most of the songs are actually, although I feel like reading the VN makes them even better because of how well they fit with it.

Hellsing OP
Yasushi Ishii - Logos naki World

Fushigi Yuugi OP
Itooshii Hito no Tame ni

wondering if I should go back watch Season two but bad reviews and Season one being great by itself make me go back with the memories of it instead

Forget Me Not Wasurenagusa from Gundam AGE. Best not to post this on /m/ or on FaceBook Gundam groups lest you want to open up their wrath.

While not nearly as good as the first the second season wasn't totally bad, just didn't live up to what came before. Still worth a watch imo.
Honestly wish they just came out with a high budget movie as a send off rather then the second season but whatever.

File: 1596368445811.webm (4.17 MB, 640x360, 16:9, output.webm) ImgOps iqdb

Any hot summery tunes?

Great Pretender OP

Damn, i am also a great pretender…
Pretending i still exist

(left or right?)

rule 7

WILL/TRUE ("Violet Evergarden the Movie" Theme Song)

Gawr Gura (Small Shark) Sings Cruel Angels Thesis

saya no uta has a really good OST, great VN too.

a great banger from OG berserk, very comfy.

dorohedoro has a really good soundtrack all of it is worth a listen

MIA also has a good OST in general something I would check out.

I though of posting monogatori and NHK too but everyone here probably already knows about it, really am an idiot posting to a dead thread at page 3, no ones gonna be reading this.

「Kaimin! Anmin! Suya Rhyst Seikatsu」

There's 3 of them now?

MIA has a fantastic OST

the track for this scene was so sad

Kaiji's composer is the same as Death Note's. I realized this in my second time watching death note, I heard a song that I tought it was from Kaiji

Anyways, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJW_ldC7sUA

this might be the only anime that didn't a fuck about anything and even had babies drunk

Nanaka 6/17
