No.18035
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUh1cBZ8dpENichijou has one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard. It always brings a tear to my eye. Not because it's sad, in fact, it's not sad at all, it's just so beautiful and calm, and makes me reminisce a lot.
It's worth every single gigabyte it takes on my hard drive.

Kill me Baby.
The OST itself isn't masterfully made, and doesn't present itself as one, but what I like about it though, is the little piece of comedic backstory it gives.
Both the soundtrack and the covers imply that the compositions were made by Yasuna and Sonya, which is really clever, to my mind. The whole soundtrack is discontinous in terms of musical instruments that are used: the guitar can be interfered by drums and then with PC Engine sounds, one thing can be interwined with another e.t.c., which also implies that Yasuna and Sonya are awful at writing music.
Nevertheless, some of it's soundtracks are pretty good, and such deliberate "incompetence" and discord only further impart the absurd atmosphere of the anime.

Yuyushiki.
As far as I'm concerned, the soundtrack is really underrated, which is a shame, really.
Compositions are simple, just as the feeling of nonchalance they convey. The instruments seldom overlap each other, and when they do, they sound like if they were taken from different, yet somewhat similar songs - and it's not something to be taken as a bad thing, for it works in favor of the OST, assisting in creating the aforementioned sense of nearly childish serenity and carelessness, with undertones of sweet reverie.
Seriously, give it a listen. It's really good.

Koufuku Graffiti
Sadly, there are no songs from the OST uploaded to YouTube, except for the hackneyed Preview Song, aka
"Taberu", which is absolutely not enough to grasp the whole beauty of the soundtrack.
You won't find it on torrent sites, though. I'm pretty sure the artist tracks down all of her albums that had been uploaded to the internet and reports them for copyright infringement. And who can blame her for that, if that's the case?
Or probably the soundtrack shares it's lot with Yuyushiki's OST and is simply forgotten by many. Most likely it's the latter, which is a pity.
Whatever is the reason, I managed to get my hands on the soundtrack. And it's awesome.
It sounds like something out of a good Disney film. The music would neately fit the european province: the instruments chosen are mainly european, and are made to sound the way they'd have sounded had they gotten into the hands of a traditional european village music band.
Generally, it's very tranquil and cheerful, fitting the ambiance of this slice of life anime just right.
You can download it here:
http://www.shi-no-kakaku.com/2015/03/edible-melodies-koufuku-graffiti.htmlYou really should give it a listen as well.
And a special
gracias to Tacoland anime music fanciers: we wouldn't get to listen to this lovely piece if it wasn't for you.

Hibike Euphonium
Nothing much to say about this one, I'm at a loss for words.
The music (
Well, most of it, barring the somewhat comedic ones) would fit perfectly for an orchestra hall.
And frankly, I'm sad I won't ever be able to experience it's sound with all the acoustics that buildings for orchestras and operas provide, because not even good headphones manage to produce the sound equally qualitative to the one you can hear in the music halls.
On the whole, the soundtrack emphasizes the classical instruments over anything else, and other instruments are seldom used, which leaves us with what can easily be described as one huge overture to a great theater play.
If only we got a great theater play instead of lesbians blowing into the winds.https://youtu.be/QRY2enP6hIA?t=57m54s No.18747

I love the woodwinds in this. The arrangement is much like those in other WWII-era series, especially video games like MoH and the early CoDs, but of course this is much more upbeat.
>>24709That hurts me deep down too. What has happened in the time between then and now? Nothing. I might as well have been watching it yesterday. I remember someone was uploading the episodes as they released to YouTube, and I would have to download 3 parts per episode with a third party subscription website, convert them to MP4 with another service, then put them on my PSP to watch at school under the stairwell.
