Most disappointing anime

What was the most disappointing anime you have ever watched? For me personally, it was Sailor Moon Crystal. I'm a big Sailor Moon fan and I was pumped for the new series to come out, even though it kept getting delayed I didn't care, I just wanted to feel the magic I felt watching the series for the first time again. But when the show aired in the summer of 2014 i was met with a show with extremely sloppy animation, poor writing and really just an underwhelming vibe to it. It was just such a gut punch to see my favorite show get treated with such a mishandled and mediocre retelling.

I cannot take anime seriously.

This is not an anti anime post I happen to adore anime however I cannot take anime seriously.
There are rarely exceptions to this for example Haibane Renmei but anime comes off as whimsical and I cannot take it seriously as it seems so cartoon like in design.
Manga I can appreciate as serious but any serious manga that gets an anime adaption fails in this regard it all seems so silly from violence to the serious themes.

When I watch anime it is moe because moe anime is the only anime that is better than the manga as the animatuon adds to the moe and makes it fun to watch.
Haibane Renmei and a few other serious anime manage to keep me interested and invested in a serious way but I cannot get past how silly everything looks and the tone that this media has as anime usually.

The best anime are cute succubi doing cute things because if I wanted a serious story I would read a manga and if I wanted to think I would surely read a book or decide to just think myself.
Am I alone in thinking this way?

Gatekeeping Anime

What should be the best measures that we should take to gatekeep anime has hard as it get?
Remember, if you don't believe in gatekeeping, you are a normalgroid.

Some measures that I suggest are:
-Knowing in deep a lot about an anime, visual novel, light novel, novel, manga or game in particular.
-Having a decent knowledge about the medium.
-Being very invested into at least one work.
-Being very invested at least in one fandom.

Is not neccesary to have all these things, but at least one. What more should be added?

Anime scenes

Share scenes from anime you like, found interesting, or that caught your attention.
You can also explain what you like or found interesting about it.

I'll begin, in this one scene, which is from an anime for kids, you can be misled into thinking that these two had sex. It gives that impression, which makes a scene that should be sad and romantic, a hilarious one.

2016 Anime Awards and Analysis

I have conducted a thorough analysis of anime from the year 2016. The primary purpose of this analysis is to identify works which have artistic merit, and to classify the nature of that artistic merit. Secondarily, my intent here is to rank the works in terms of their superiority in various categories. This will allow for comparison with other surveys of 2016 anime. This analysis is an expression of my own personal opinions and did not involve input from anyone else. I did this for my own intellectual and personal satisfaction, but I also hope that others may find it interesting or useful. At the very least, maybe this will generate some interesting discussion. Additionally, if you're looking for anime to watch, you can peruse through the specific categories I've provided to identify works that are likely to suit your tastes.

Only anime which started airing in 2016 are considered here. Meaning that anime for which the first season aired before 2016 are not considered (ex. neither Hibike Euphonium nor Love Live are candidates here). The considered anime are evaluated on the basis of all seasons that have aired (not just the first season in 2016). Movies are not included unless they are related to a TV anime (ex. Bungou Stray Dogs). I am conducting reviews for other years using this same system. Annual reviews are typically done as soon as the year ends, but I believe my methodology here is superior for conducting reviews of years retrospectively. Furthermore, classifying the year's best works only by season/genre I find is an ineffective method for identifying meritorious works, so I've included more-specific categories.

Categories and their results are listed below. Winning titles for each category are separated by commas, with the superior titles being listed first. For the genre categories I've provided two answers (the winning title followed by the runner up). However, polls for anime of the season and anime of the year typically list many top candidates in their results, so I've followed a similar procedure with my results here. For the anime of the season and year results, I've listed the top 5 candidates in order of superiority, with the winning title listed first and the progressively lesser titles listed afterwards.

Regarding the genre results, there are a couple important details:
Note: titles are classified by their superiority with respect to the stated genre alone, not overall quality (for example: x anime is a good sci-fi anime regardless of the writing being terrible, y anime is a good romance anime even though the comedy is unfunny, etc…). For classifications according to overall quality, please see the best-in-season and best-in-year results, or the list of highly scored anime that is provided much further below as well as in the attached table(pic related). Keep in mind that some highly rated shows don't necessarily fit neatly into a genre. Conversely, excelling in a genre category is not necessarily an indication of overall quality.
Note: the romance genre here refers exclusively to conventional hetero romance; shoujo ai and shounen ai are provided here as separate genres.

Best by season listed below.
Winter: Prince of Stride, Hai to Gensou no Grimgar, Koukaku no Pandora, Norn9, Reikenzan
Spring: Sakamoto Desu ga, Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge, Shounen Maid, Kuma Miko, Sansha Sanyou

Categories which evaluate other noteworthy characteristics are listed below, separated into 5 general sections. Some of these categories refer to characteristics that are ubiquitous to all anime, such as audiovisuals and story. However, other categories evaluate characteristics that are only relevant to a smaller subset of anime, such as humour or suspense. To reflect the differing amount of potential candidates in either case, three winning titles per category are provided for ubiquitous characteristics, whereas only two winning titles are provided for characteristics that are less consistently relevant. Again, winning titles are listed first and the runner(s) up are listed afterwards ordered by superiority with respect to the specified category. In other words, this template is used:

Finally, here is a list of all titles considered in this analysis that I rated at least 6/10. Respective overall scores for each title are indicated in brackets (/10).
List of anime rated ≥6/10: Flip Flappers(10), Sangatsu no Lion(10), Prince of Stride(9), Amanchu(8), Hai to Gensou no Grimgar(8), Koukaku no Pandora(8), ReLIFE(8), Sakamoto Desu ga(8), Shakunetsu no Takkyuu Musume(8), Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge(8), Dream Festival(7), Drifters(7), Hina Logi(7), Kono Bijutsubu ni wa Mondai ga Aru(7), Kuma Miko(7), Norn9(7), Orange(7), Reikenzan(7 [S1=6, S2=8]), Sansha Sanyou(7), Shounen Maid(7), Shuumatsu no Izetta(7), Tenkyou no Alderamin(7), Udon no Kuni no Kiniro Kemari(7), Yuri on Ice(7), Bungou Stray Dogs(6.8 [S1-S3=7, movie=5]), Bubuki Buranki(6), Joker Game(6), Long Riders(6), Magic-Kyun Renaissance(6), Netoge no Yome wa Onnanoko ja Nai(6)

Total number of anime viewed for this analysis: 104 (including dropped series, NOT including shorts or movies, NOT counting donghua, NOT counting sequels – ex. all of Bungou Stray Dogs is counted as 1 anime total)
Among those 104 viewed anime, 58 were dropped (not watched to completion, likely due to their low quality from my point of view). Therefore my completion rate was 44.2% (46 of 104). My average score (/10) among completed anime was 6.39. Dropped anime were not considered as candidates in any category. I should mention that although my drop probability is mainly a function of enjoyment, I will sometimes complete disliked shows for idiosyncratic reasons, such as curiosity or cultural interest. For this reason, my completion rate and average score are somewhat arbitrary. Furthermore, a year having a lot of bad shows doesn't diminish the artistic value of its best works.

Touhou Thread II - 2018 ed.

Talk about Touhou here. I think the OP or something. It's been three months. We've all talked about our favorite characters, so what's your favorite part of the fandom? Do you like the setting the most, the characters the most, the lore the most, the music the most, or, like me, do you just idealize the series like I do?

What are you doing right now to enjoy the series?

Anime recommendations

I'm looking for a new animu to watch, I've listed some of the stuff I highly rated, maybe there will be something others may be interested in listed below, but I would greatly appreciate any recommendations based on what you think I might love.

Animus: Serial Experiments Lain, Akagi, Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo, Psychiatrist Irabu, FMA:brotherhood, neongenesisevangerion, steins gate (prob gonna watch steins gate: zero if nothing seems better), Gilgamesh, Death Note, Ping Pong the animation, Baccano! , NHK…

Those are the best I can think of at the moment.

Anime you think you're missing out on

This thread is for discussion of anime you think you're missing out on. Recently, I've been trying to get into this new Madhouse original called "Sonny Boy". I saw some familiar staff and thought the show looked cool. When I got into it, the show already ran five or six episodes in. Now it's almost finished airing. I thought the first episode was cool, and I liked the second episode as well, but not as much as the first one. By the third episode I just wanted to smash my head against the wall. The characters all have the same snarky, lifeless, pseudo intellectual attitude. They all act like typical sheltered Tokyo brats. Another thing that irks me is the amount of uncreative still scenes there are. It makes the episodes drag for so long, and it's like their only purpose is to save money for a classic "super cool key animator moment" that lasts 10 seconds or less. Normally I know when to stop, but judging by the discussion of the show I've seen online, it looks like the show gets better as it goes on. So I either suffer through more episodes with no pay off, or I agonize through a bunch of schlock just for that one "golden" episode. I regret not watching Sonny Boy weekly. Anime is so 'off' these days, that I can't imagine keeping up with shows without having to wait a week in between.

How could anime be better thread

Use this thread to post how you think anime or manga could be better. Note your criticism of industry trends here and suggest what may improve the medium.

I wish that anime had more varied voice acting as an example.
I think this because JP films have people talking like humans with more character but anime nearly always has the same basic voices for character if not in who does the voices it is how they talk. The problems is not present when watching MOE SOL CGDCT anime because it works to the advantage but sadly when you are watching a serious anime the voice acting can affect the anime badly.

Manga thread

My brain is too fucked to pull two intelligible sentences together, so pardon me if I don't make any sense.

As there are just too many manga, it is a huge pain to dig into this pile to find good ones to read. So why don't we share each other great manga, and good mangaka.

I'd recommend Fumetsu no Anata e (To You, the Immortal), pic related.

Story of some sort of immortal being of the shape of a sphere, has the ability to imitate object and being in his surrounding. It bit by bit, start to experience the world, pain, hardship, death, not having any idea of anything of who it is, and slowly develop of conscience. It's set in a fantasy world, where the clothing and customs are loosely inspired by early Japan, and maybe the Ainu.

Beautiful and detailed artstyle, incidentally the author of this manga is Ooima Yoshitoki which can explain why it reminds me of Koe no Katachi (same author after all).

Honda's and Toyota's (JP Cars)

I have no clue what is keeping you people from talking about the best contribution Japan has brought into the Americas.
Personally, I like any 90s Honda Coupe just as long as it's possible to rice up to 500+ horsepower with at least 50 pounds of torque. The Honda Del Sol was by far my childhood dream car, but I ended up settling for a Honda CRX my parents gave me.

Any Toyota fans out there too? Toyota has been going down the drain in terms of fun factor. I can't wait until Toyota's reliability goes down too to the point where Toyota stops production in America alltogether like Toshiba.

And of course, Mazda is doing just fine.

Searching for a lost anime

hello could any anime experts here help me find an anime that has been stuck in my head for years?

it has 80s or 90s artstyle from what I remember there is some kind of military conflict being shown in what appears to be tokyo
there is a giant enemy turning humans into liquid goo [with it's laser beams or sound waves i don't remember] anyway the humans send in a bunch of tanks and airplanes but it does nothing they all end up blowing up and people are still being turned into goo and melting in broad daylight

i tried google searching the themes but it seems like im unable to land on an exact title without having to sift through basically every 80s or 90s title

Why is this considered "anime" ?

Why is Tower of God considered an anime when it is adapted from a manhwa? If it is solely because a Japanese studio did it then why isn't the same logic applied to Cannon Busters? So basically anyone with money can just pay a studio to adapt their source material and it will be "anime"? Seems like a bad precedent we are setting. How does Japan feel about this?
R: 204 / I: 40

Okay, I just finished the the series.
and I have to ask - is this a joke? Like a big decades long meme? I think this was the worst anime I've ever seen. A pseudo-philosophical LARP. Like does it actually have a point? A meaning? Beause I think I just witnessed someone's acid trip.

Unironically is the worldwide fame a LARP? Or is it like with the emperor's new clothes, where nobody mentions that he's actually naked?

What the acual fuck? Either I'm a brainlet retard or I'm the only sane person on earth - but what the fuck did I just watch?

It reminds me of those old french psychological art films… What a fucking waste of time…

Love Live

The new Love Live music video is CUTE CUTE CUTE !!!!!! The song sounds pretty good too.

I'm still undecided about how I feel about the Nijigasaki generation. This latest release looks promising though. I worry that the characters might be poorly written despite the musical content being decent.

The future direction of the franchise seems unclear at this point. I'm hoping that we'll get at least one more anime season for Aqours. It looks like they're starting to release solo music albums for each Aqours member. Hopefully Corona doesn't seriously affect the financial viability of the franchise.

A new generation has been announced recently ("Love Live Superstar"). At this point that generation is a total wild card. I'm cautiously optimistic about the smaller size of the group though (5 members). Larger group sizes mean that some members can be kind of neglected; this is particularly true in the animated content. So a smaller group might have better character development. It'll probably also diminish any scheduling problems with the various seiyuus. On the other hand though, if one character is a bad singer then it will have a stronger effect on the overall quality of the vocals. So hopefully they will all be good vocalists.

Anyway, let's have a thread about MY FAVOURITE FRANCHISE OF ALL TIME. Yay!

No spoilers ITT plz. Let's discuss how much we love Love Live and how we feel about the future of the franchise. Let's post musical content and art, and talk about our favourite characters and ships! Who is the best singer and what are your favourite songs? Will the soul of the franchise and fanbase be preserved as these new generations are introduced?

/jp/ - Japanese Culture

Would this board be better if anime discussion wasn't allowed? I like anime, but this board's so slow that having any actual discussion outside of the anime review thread or the cute anime character threads, is basically pointless. The world of imageboards needs a place for niche otaku discussion, but alas, no site caters to such interest. What with the modern day youth on this site, there'd probably just be a bunch of Vtuber threads to take all the anime discussion's place. What does /jp/ - Japan/Anime, think?

Anime Recommendation Thread

Tell us your anime likes and dislikes or some sort of information about what you're looking for, or just examples of past shows you've enjoyed, and hopefully someone will recommend you a good show to watch.

>plot driven
>interesting fantasy or sci-fi worlds
>interesting social commentary or philosophical stuff
>hero archetypes
>good character arcs
>political intrigue
>fights where strategy is involved rather than just powering up with beams or determinationing your way through it

>romance (esp. pedo shit)
>boring slice of life shit where nothing outside the realm of normality happens (cute succubi doing cute things)
>high school setting and children mcs in general (not always I've just seen a lot of them and it's getting old especially as I myself am getting older)
>slow paced
>fan service that takes away from the plot and wastes time
>comedic relief/gags (situational comedy is fine but the japanese tend to do this annoying shit where they put on wonky music and people yell at each other and they call it comedy)
>style over substance (eg, lain, technolyze, FLCL)
>lol so randumb shit

Specifically at the moment I'm looking for anime dealing with world domination or military/political conquest. I've enjoyed pretty much every one I've watched with that theme eg Code Geass, TTGL, No Game No Life, LOGH, Berserk, Magi, etc. I'm open to other suggestions as well though.

I don't need it to include all of my likes or avoid all my dislikes, just not be too excessive. I'm pretty indifferent to bad CGI/animation as long as the substance is good. Thank you in advance for any suggestions you might give me.

I can't take anyone who doesn't like anime seriously anymore. It happens to anybody else here?
I mean, if someone say that they don't like anime, or that they don't watch it, is practically given that they are normalgroids. So when someone says something it directly or indirectly, I inmediantly lost interest in whatever that person has to say.

Hard To Find Japanese Cinema

There is a vast sea of Japanese films out there, and I can imagine most of /jp/ has only scratched the surface. What are the qualifications for a "hard to find Japanese film" you ask?
>rarbg, nyaa, kissasian doesn't carry what you're looking for, and pt's don't want your wizardly company
>the movie has no re-releases, or even a home video release at all
>the director doesn't even remember the production of the film you're after
What are some movies you've had interest in, but no way to watch?

The Future of Japan

I don't like making /dep/ressing threads, especially on hobbyist boards like /jp/, but this has been bugging me for a long time now. Japan has always been a hot spot for foreigners, but I've noticed a lot, and I mean A LOT of people trying to invade the country recently. And to make things worse, not only will they eventually flood the gene pool, but they're going to pressure Japanese society into changing their morals as well. Don't think they wont, the Japanese are a very insecure race, especially young people that idolize shitty American pop culture. https://twitter.com/obskyr/status/1274628006103838720.

I'm so scared I'm going to live to see Japan's death before I even get to visit. I wish I could become some sort of stoic wizard samurai and kill any foreigners who plot against the country and its people, spreading propaganda. It infuriates me that eventually SJWs will be normalized in Japan, and people will still deny the fact that Japan will change, saying shit like "nawwww that wont happen" until it does. It happened to the majority of Europe, it'll happen to Nippon too.

revengful characters in anime

Hey. What character I like from anime?
I like Scar from FMA and FMA B. Why? Because he was mysterious and his country was treated poorly when there was a war.
But after war was over he came after alchemists, because he wanted revenge so much.

That impressed me.

Are there any character who wanted revenge in anime? Give me examples of them.

Odd Taxi

Has anyone here been watching/reading Odd Taxi? It's already looking like AOTY despite it not even being summer yet, released on the same season as last year's AOTY, Gal to Kyouryuu. "Furry" anime becoming the new moe is wishful thinking, but I hope it happens. Animal worlds ensure more interesting stories in anime. I won't spoil too much since I'm sure not many people on wizardchan have seen it yet, but it's definitely a breath of fresh air with all the idiotic anime that airs these days. Give it a shot and discuss here; episode 7 just aired a few hours ago.

Japanime artists

post all your favorite japan/anime artists. you can post hentai artists too since most of the good ones make hentai.

The first image is from 廃狼@新刊よろしく yotushiku something, I can only read the end of it. He is an artist on pixiv, I don't know if he posts his work anywhere else, but everything he posts is amazing.

The second picture is from an artist I found on pixiv called SPEC. I don't like most of his work, but this one is in a good style I wish I could see more.

The third image is made by Akyuun, another artist I found on pixiv. I like the colors, it looks dreamy.

I'll post more artists I like later. Please add whatever art you like.

Character Songs

This is a thread to post anime character songs in.

>What's a character song, wizzie?

Moddess can move this to /music/ if she wants, but I'd wager that the /jp/ audience will be far more receptive to the ultra-moe songs I'm going to post ITT. Plus, it will probably get more contributors if it's on /jp/.

Is anyone else exceedingly bothered by the fact that they forget anime they've seen? It's like losing an important part of yourself. All these worlds and characters, even if they're fictional, feel dear to me, yet I forget what happened to them and sometimes their existence as a whole. Of course, you can re-watch anime (I'm on a spree of doing that right now), but it still upsets me.

It's as if these shows are disposable information to fill my time with, and can subsequently be discarded once I've "consumed" them. I despise my brain for failing to even roughly recollect the events of an episode I saw a month ago, yet recalling that time a random kid in elementary school made a sarcastic comment about my cellphone on the landing of the northeast stairwell, between the third and second floor. Do I have a normalshit brain that marks memories pertaining to fictional stories as unimportant and consequently, readily deletes them? How can I remember the series I've seen better? As autistic as it sounds, I've resorted to taking notes on anime and reviewing them at irregular intervals, but even that ends up in me only remembering the general plot of the show, with the finer details as well as recollections of the sounds and visuals falling through the cracks.

Connichi Online

This years anime convention connichi (germany) will be held online because of this virus pandemic. it appears that everyone will be free to watch the stream for free. I am not sure if they will block IP adresses from outside germany from watching it.
I felt obligated to inform everyone of this event.

>link: https://online.connichi.de/online/

I don't know if they will have english subtitles though

>program: https://plan.connichi.de

here is the program plan. there are some high profile guests from the anime industry and apparently they will show interviews, concerts and workshops / cosplay competitions.

I have no idea how this will be but I have nothing to do on friday and I might try this one out.
I hope it will be fun

Any anime that anyone thinks is just better off/works better as a manga?

Haven't read Nichijou but watched the first episode, I could already tell that the jokes might have had a better effect reading them, not watching.
Despite AzuDai's charm, I feel the same with some of its jokes, too.
Lucky Star is also up there.

Is this the slice-of-life curse?

What makes moe good?

Hey /jp/ I like moe but not all moe and I have to wonder what makes certain moe good? is it hard to quantify what makes the genera worth praising compared to other anime?

How did you get into moe and is it more of an otaku thing to enjoy moe plus does liking moe and being a lolicon go handin hand or just help?

I think colour scheme has a lot to do with what makes moe so good and also a plot that is engaging enough yet barely engaging also.

One Piece

I've been thinking about tackling this monster, over 900 episodes sounds daunting but I figured if I can do a 200 episodes show in about a month it should take less than 6 to catch up with this.
Is it worth it? Or will I waste all that time just to get disappointed by newer seasons?

/dep/ anime

Maybe this belongs more on /hob/ and if the mods agree I would hold no ill will for them for moving or deleting it but I recently got around to watching Serial Experiments Lain and wanted to find some other wizzards with good reccomendations for /dep/ anime. The ones of course given are succubi last tour and Lain. I would personally not count Watamote as it seems quite shallow and everything turns out fine in the end and whatnot. So what are some other anime, manga or light novels dealing with actual depression or schizophrenia and not in the mainstream boohoo am so sad way.

What do you speculate the next trend in anime will be?
We had moe and it seems as if iseaki is still in full force but waning and I cannot imagine what the next trend will be so I am curious what you wizards speculate.

I do not think Moe will go away we will always have cute succubi doing cute things but maybe it will be different I think perhaps the art style will change and sadly feel that loli stuff may become rarer as more and more normalfags watch anime to the point that MAL reviews on loli anime is critical of the fact there is a loli in it featured with some fan service.

I am secretly hoping that more depressing anime gets made and even some anime that is entirely in black and white like a manga I love the visuals in anime but manga can really look so much better for some stories.

Sorry for the brainfart

Low power level

Have you noted that there are more and more people with low power level in anime community than ever? I mean, even here almost every recent thread is filled with people who don't know what they're talking about, let alone can give some deep insight in any matter.

People who can't say anything very interesting about the plot of an anime, nor discuss something about it for more than 2 minutes because he doesn't know what he is talking about. You would expect this to be the case in normalgroid sites, that's a given, but I'm seeing this even in places where there are supposed to be people who are at least interested in anime and otaku culture. Honestly is very boring that there are no people who like to know about their favorite things.

New to anime

I've never been into anime and I don't know much about it. However, I decided to check out One Punch Man and I'm enjoying it a fair bit. I've never been able to stick to hobbies or find any passion or purpose in life. Is anime a worthwhile thing to get into? I'm beginning to see why so many people love it. The problem is, it just seems so dense. So much to learn, so many forums, so many niches. It's a little intimidating for a newcomer. Where do I begin? Should I learn Japanese? I've never been able to actually succeed at something like that, but maybe getting into anime would give me a reason too. Will anime improve my life and make me a better person? Will it make the bad things in life, like wageslaving and disease, more bearable?

I await your responses. Thank you, wizards.

Reading about the manga ruined the manga?

has reading about the authors explanation or views about their manga altered how you enjoy it at all?

A specific example here and I warn of possible spoilers about the oyasumi punpun manga.

I have read punpun many times and part of the enjoyment was trying to understand some of the stories in a deeper level in particular the schizophrenic like prophet.
I always wondered what purpose this side narrative served so every reread would think about it and try piece something together but then I read this interview https://mangabrog.wordpress.com/2014/07/06/inio-asano-interview-reality-is-tough-so-read-this-manga-about-cute-succubi-and-feel-better/ to find the part where the author discusses this search Pegasus on the page.

Now that I know that there was not really anything "deep" and complex about Pegasus and it was just because punpun was a freeter I feel as if it ruined the fun of the story for me and I am hesitant to read what authors say about their work now as it can kill the magic.

NoAnime September

Has anyone experience in cutting out anime from your life? I'm thinking of doing a NoAnime September and seeing how it will turn out.

Anime has consume my life and I keep buying anime merchandise, watch anime all day, and have turned my room into an anime haven. It made me fap all the time to anime succubi and I am always weak and tired now, and when I am I watch some anime to feel happy - it is like a drug.

Even after finishing anime it doesn't stop for me as I go on gelbooru and look up pictures of anime characters I like.

So does anyone have experience quitting anime or cutting down on this habit?

Opinions on Nichijou? I think it's a good comedy Slice Of Life anime. How about you guys?

Where do you guys find anime?

It seems to me that many NEET wizzies do nothing but watch anime all day. That would be tens of episodes a day. How do you guys not run out of stuff to watch? Where do you find new shows?

I'm watching Goblin Slayer, I stupidly watched the movie first, but it was still understandable to me. The series is good and explain his backstory, it's pretty fun to watch even if it's for normalfags. The series is super simple, hero hates goblins because they killed his parents/village and travels around accepting quests to kill goblins. Gets a party of elf archer, lizard man, dwarf and succubus priestess. Generic anime that normalfags like but really fun to watch.

Lonely anime

Do you know any more anime that give you a feeling of isolation and loneliness? Where the interactions between characters are short? Where it's more about the atmosphere created by images and sound rather than story and dialogue? They don't necessarily have to take place in desolate places. It could also be about the sense of isolation you get from living in a big city.

Why am I so mad Supreme are making jackets with Toshio Saeki art on them?

Do you think it'll be just a one off thing or are normlfags gonna be into Ero Guro now?

I checked price estimations and it's gonna cost around 400$ for the jacket, so not only are swagfag normans gonna wear the late & great Toshio's art it's gonna be rich swagfag normans.

/manga/ 2021

Thread for discussing what anime we have read and liked enough to suggest to another wizard I hope the thread goes ok I know we have one but it seems quite old and a bit of a mess remove if this was a mistake.

I need new manga to read and maybe you do as well so post some manga and explain why you liked it so much.

>We did it

A great coming of age manga similar to pun pun in ways it has a wizard character in it as well.
A cynical story about a young man that just sees society for what it is and it is quite bleak
>a bullet or a lollypop
A depressing manga that has lovely moe character design it is only short so a must read
>euthanasia society
A one shot that is about killing yourself I suggest it
A longer anti hero martial arts manga that is worth the read but do not expect an amazing ending
>holy land
A fighting manga about a wizardly MC and it actually is very good
>koku no hito
Disregard succubus acquire mountains
>vinland saga
I suggest this because it was a great read although I dropped it near the end of what is out but that is after 170+ chapters of solid story
>spirit circle
A great manga I highly suggest reading this and the mangakas other works.
>Yankee Juku e Iku
A manga about a delinquent and it is quite nice to read I realy liked how raw it was it is not finished although the current arc is
>Yamikin Ushijima-kun
Amazing one of my favourite manga to read a shame not all of it is translated but it is VERY raw and shows how fucked the world is with a great anti hero
A nice lovely music manga I really think it is worth reading for the friendship and other stories I never watched the anime though.

Please do suggest some other manga I was only posting what I read recently and seen was missing from the other thread.

What did you guys take away from this show? Did it help the way you feel about your situation, or did it cause more despair?
