I wonder if they're going to add tranny flags or something into it.

>>42508"Trans" implies a transition. Trans-Canada, trans-mission, trans-cend. Trannies don't transition at all. They die as the same sex they were born as. This is why a new word had to be made to describe them. Faggot.

>>42509>+ Black caractherI didn't mention that because as far as I know there's nothing about Ranma ½ that would make it more likely to get a nigger than other modern anime remakes, but considering that gender bending is the main theme of Ranma ½, it is the perfect thing to get subverted and retconned into tranny propaganda.

I see no good reason for it to be remade but whatever. If they make another dub I hope they use the same voice actors as at least it will stimulate my sense of nostalgia.
Also that they keep the script tighter with more condensed character development that stays consistent rather that characters reverting back to how they were with their progress forgotten every time a joke or plot of the week requires it.
Lastly I hope they don't pussy out with censorship and pandering to western radical leftist. Keep all the fan service/nudity, the "sexism" and bizarre stereotypes, and soft harem shenanigans.
Don't add in modern tranny bullshit, feminism beyond what was already there, or prudishness.

>>42511>>42509>>42514It would be funny as fuck if they made the principal black due to fundamental misunderstanding the character but keeping his children full Japanese, because again not actually watching the show so not getting the joke.
Seems like something Netflix would do.

I'll probably watch this. I mean Urusei Yatsura got a remake recently, and I had to wonder why they didn't choose Ranma 1/2 (They did a great job with that remake, btw)
With Ranma 1/2, There's a lot of room for improvement to the visuals, sound, and pacing from the original. Plus, if they cut out the massive quantity of filler episodes, they might get around to some important plot events from the later parts of the manga.
I agree that modern politics is probably going to be an issue. The bulk of the comedy is the ridiculous shenanigans and awkward situations revolving around weird gender bullshit. The original Ranma 1/2 is probably viewed as problematic by both the idpol progressives and traditionalist conservatives. Can't make everyone happy, so I hope they just focus on retaining the goofy comedy of the original.

>>42541>I agree that modern politics is probably going to be an issue.Having visited there once, Japan is not a progressive country or a western country. It IS a vassal state though. I'm convinced that any "modernisation" in general comes from subversive translators, a dubbing company trying to make it more kid-friendly (or remove problematic content), or top-down pressure from the publishing company to make it more palatable for international (US) release.
