I like this thread
Trust me it's not worth it.
If you do go though I suggest the country side, it looks so nice. Even better than the cities in my opinion.
Here are pictures you've probably seen before.
Kid on the right has no eyebrows.
nice picture, i like these messy overhead powerlines in japan
What's the purpose of those wires over the pond?
I looks to be a system for keeping birds large enough to swoop up the fish from doing so.
Provide us with more pictures please.
i'll try and find the locations for these places. i know it was shikoku and can probably find using google maps. it is a crazy hilly and mountainy island, and you go through tunnels every 15 minutes, but coming out of them you get views like these from across your mountain you see villages and lovely places on the other side, dams, terraces, bridges, lots of rocky rivers and bushy bamboo stuff comforting everything
I too must make a sacred pilgrimage to righteous Rishiri, after hearing your heartwarming story. Perhaps one day we will cross paths, on Rishiri.
That is weird, I immediately guessed were exactly the island is located. Moreover, is has always drawn my attemtion whenever I was gazing at the map of Japan.
Damn, kinda makes me regret I don't live on Sakhalin, would be an easy trip from there.
here's something funny. it's a kind of rest stop where drivers can pull over and walk inside to… to do what? if you were to walk inside, you'd see dozens of vending machines filled with porn and sex toys. it's essentially a miniature unmanned porn store.
when i passed this, i thought it was just regular 24hr food vending machines and so i went inside, but man was i wrong. i had never heard of such a thing before, i thought it was cool. i think about it sometimes. it probably has some japanese sign clearly indicating what is inside, but if you can't read it, you wouldn't know any better
>Japan is just so fucking comfy
As an onlooker or a tourist. If you lived there long enough you'd get bored of it and start fantasizing about china, like japs do.
Well I imagine living anywhere for a long time would get boring but I imagine traveling around Japan to be a wonderful experience.
Sounds cool. I wish Vending machines were more common here like they are in Japan.
But what is it about their cars they look almost the same.
Next year I have in mind a cycling trip around Japan. Solo, of course.
But I probably won't even need to bring a bike lock, Japan's that type of country.
>>21497>start fantasizing about china, like japs do
But Japs fantasize mostly about America.
In the middle it only says videos-books so it doesn't seem very obvious even in Japanese.
The top of the sign is too blurry to make out so maybe that says 成年 or something, looks like three characters though.
It's kind of interesting to me that porn stores still survive with the internet, even here in Murrica there is a video store near me that I never see anyone go to but it's been open forever.
I know your pain my friend, I fear that our peanut sized gaijin barbarian brains cannot even comprehend their city planning. I hope that one day Japan will regain their imperialistic ambitions and colonize the planet and replace us.
That's a good thing. Individualism signalling through consumption is a meme.
Wish the government would bam all car colors except white, ban bumper stickers, ban graphic t shirts and ban nike shoes
That would enrage the breedgroids
I don't agree with that. Individualism, period, can be a good thing. Though with what you said, you may just be put off by "slacktivism" and the like. As much as the Law of Jante is popular on Wizchan, I still believe in individualism and hold collectivism would be disconcerting to Westerners. The Nordic and East Asian seem strangely "autistic" or maybe evolved compared to the rest of the world. What I'd rather see the government do would be to ban things like you said but also sponsor local workshops or makerspaces where the community gets together to mod the generic products to their desires.
At least until they let too many foreigners looking for a comfy country in, ironically.
is this meant to represent something? Looks sort of familiar, but I'm not sure if it's the location, or the art style
Hmm… I Guess you're right.
The last time I was in a Car there were several Cars that had weird looking Indicator Lights and I thought why aren't they just looking the same and are in the same Position so you can't miss them.
sage, because offtopic
its just a bunch of boring ass trees and chinese cloned temples… at least show some tokyo and akihabara
>>21546>What I'd rather see the government do would be to ban things like you said but also sponsor local workshops or makerspaces where the community gets together to mod the generic products to their desires.
people would sponsor these things themselves if they wanted, read rothbard
those places are overflowing with human trash. why would you be interested
i would be interested in japanese wildlife
t. another wizzie
Signalling your individualism through material objects is just dumb sorry. Because you aren't even doing that, just falling for the consumerism meme. Frankly I agree with the other poster but would go even further. Make school uniforms mandatory for every school, make the production, sale, import or wearing of any clothing with logos a capital offense, Ban hairdye, ban piercings, ban tattoos, along with banning all vehicle colors except white, bumper stickers and so on. Also ban lawn ornaments too and only allow the most utilitarian frame and shape of eyeglasses to be sold.
After you get rid of this sort of superfluous 'individualism', then we'll see if breeders start to differentiate themselves by their actions and beliefs instead and if actual individualism is indeed good or not.>>21546
Japanese and nordics are still way too individualistic
to be ideal unfortunately.
This is off topic but I have to get this out:
Most people have a bad taste. Now thanks to cheap production and consumerism people get to live out their bad taste. Just look around and see what kind of stuff people are wearing. Neon colored t-shirts with cringeworthy misused memes on them. There is just so much shit out there that tries to entice the average consumer by being flashy.
I think that unless you have good taste / you are an enthusiast you should just get whatever looks the most inoffensive and is the most practical.
It looks like back then bad taste was being kept to a minimum.
>I think that unless you have good taste / you are an enthusiast you should just get whatever looks the most inoffensive and is the most practical.
This is how I've always operated, more or less.
My disgusting sister, the normans I've been forced into contact with through necessity and the internet have all referred to different aspects of my general ensemble (if one can call it that) as "Autism X."
That's the worst that they can generally do to you for being practical, economically and comfy, basically nothing, it's not bad.
Fashion is a terrible meme because it just fools insecure normans with boring 'personalities' to buy cartloads of sweatshop rags marked up at 1000% with some cologne sprayed on them and a model paid to wear them. Not only that, they created a sick henpecking system that shames those who dont subscribe to the meme, though that's the case with most norman spooks anyways. If you've ever watched people obsessed with fashion, you'll see they are in some sick delusion where they think they are somehow 'obtaining' the attractiveness of the model. It only works when the victim lacks self awareness and has fallen for the meme.
Better turn this into a 'pictures of Japanese fashion' thread before we derail it.
You have no idea what you are talking about. People truly obsessed with fashion are nerds who dont give a shit about how models look in the clothes. A model is literally a walking manniquin. Just an aesthetic piece but the clothes are the real art. There are some pieces i would like to own that i might only wear once or twice like archival pieces but the history and the craftmanship behind them would be enough just to take them out and look and feel them once in a while
This thread is about photos of Japan. Please keep on topic. If you want to argue about other things please open a new thread.
Heh. Wizchan messed up the url!
thank you for posting those images
they were beautiful
No need to feel sorry about it, actaully tempted me into visiting the place.
I figure only the countryside is worth focusing on at this point.
What part of japan is this in? I thought hazaganashi village was supposed to be fake.
>>24136>The manga and anime was so popular they made it a real thing
and either way you would need to wageslave to death
Although some Japanese youtubers (like Nobita) claim it possible for gaijin to move to 田舎(countryside) and get integrated into communities, it's pretty hard to do and one has to be an outgoing normalfag for that. Japan has a huge share of its own asocial loners so I doubt they want foreign ones too.
>>29119>being a literal fucking weeaboo this much
I know we're in /jp/, but good lord man have some goddamn dignity.
literally nothing wrong with being "a literal fucking weeaboo", norm
especially on /jp/
That wrist angle is unrealistic.
Anime is not supposed to be "realistic".
I dont think even normalfags get accepted. Not more than facade thing japs got.
Then they get pissed and write/blog how its good thing japanese are dying out and are replaces by SEA and China in their own country.
Must be that doubleface thing
Well if they manage to marry into a Japanese family, especially in the countryside, and do their best to integrate culturally, they kinda do get accepted, at least inside those communities. But on the other hand, yeah, it's a safe to assume that in case of any conflict or argument such people still get a "ur a fuckin gaijin and don't know shit so shut up" treatment.
Basic anatomy is important.
You can forgive a lot if the image is a still from animation. Lots of images won't make any sense at all and be complete crap if being seen alone, but together it makes the motions look more fluid or something. Or not, I'm just making shit up right now.
they copy america since the meiji restoration.
You just have fat American wrists that can't bend.
where is japan is this?
Part of the reason there was a huge anime boom in the 80-90s was because of this. Japan was the leading tech producer in the whole world, and many American companies were afraid of being bought by them and many were.
They are currently number 3 because china cheats but yeah, they have been and still are a economic powerhouse. If they ever got their social spending under control and loosened certain regulations they could probably get out of their rescission and claim the number 2 spot again.
I have a feeling Japan will economically rise again, and it will be glorious when they do.
This is not possible because of low birth rates and the fact that Japan is in crazy amounts of debt and has already lowered interest rates to negative range.
theyre probably not going to unless they figure out how to magically solve all of the social problems plaguing their society.
So hi GDP & hi debt equals plateaued economy?
This thread reminds me of why I will never visit Japan. Just like everywhere else on Earth it is slowly being transformed into a homogenized, grey Americanized hellhole. It would only make me sad to see it in person. I wish I lived 200 years ago, the world would have been a much more interesting place to travel in.
countrysides are usually still transformed. notice there's no trees on the flat areas on those pics. trees are the first things to go when ground is flat
Well they can't exactly grow their rice with trees in the way can they?
I'm sure there are many good examples of a more traditional Japan in the countryside, but still, the cities continue to expand and their influence permeates the entirety of the country. Only something like >>17966
would be worth visiting. I'm not deluded enough to think that North Korea is untouched by modernity, of course, though one reason I'd like to visit it is because it is not as hemmed into the globohomo capitalist web
Sweden and Finland are still covered in untouched forest for example…
O.k.. I've clearly reached the end of the internet.
Go back to YouTube comments please
There's a KFC dating sim out there.
It's even official, it was made by the company.
Wow, no shading or anything. Weak shoop dood
Who's the character?
sanrio experimado lain maker 2003
Is this Kyoto?
you guys don't know how much this reminds me of home, I used to walk paths like these in the forest/countryside quite a lot how I wish I grew up in this location
absolutely stunning pics. Would love to see more outdoor locations at night
Megumi H is so pretty

I wish I did born in Japan instead of middle eastern shit hole like t*rkey, ironically I don’t even like anime
