2nd episode i was expecting the shadow from the clow card to use the shadow of a boy that was special to sakura and play with her feelings or fool fer for a while. It proved to be a big nothing burger till the end just one step more into sakura getting used to her newfound maho shojo abilities and powers.

 No.978551

the brother of sakura has a friend she is infatuated with but he appears to be straight out of a yaoi

 No.978555

sakura's blue jester battle costume suit her so well and it was a great choice for the aquarium. Her iq must be relatively high to figure out that she could capture the watery clow card by freezing it, and this solution came after eating a snow cone during her date and learning that her brother worked feeding the penguins whose food was in a freezing room. Her incorporating the freezer room to her plan of capturing the clow is almost genius for her age.

Water animations and flying scenes could be from a movie, really pleasant to watch!

 No.978556

I love the opening I never skip it.
I also like sakura's small and strong feet and chunky toes

 No.978562

ep4 - Using the power of the watery clow card she captured in the previous episode she managed to bind Rainy into a water sphere and turned it back to its normal guise. It was… okay.

I don't especially like her rich friend because despite being a useful side character she is a crazy fangirl and im not exaggerating she is such a sakura fangirl that she records her everywhere she goes with a camera and provides her with costumes, and gives her all sort of gifts. It’s supposed to be funny but she reminds me of someone. She even visited her unprompted in this episode and did the usual shtick of following her around, camera in one hand.

 No.978563

Just a reminder to look up for ero-guro of Sakura's friend and cousin, Tomoyo Daidouji. I want to see this retard in pain.

 No.978568

5e An average episode, I am not a fan of the jumper clow card that looks like a silly hyperactive rabbit. There's a nice flying sequence. I was hoping for a more elaborate ending, the clow uses the stolen plushies and stuffed animals from the store and grows into a giant size and when he corners sakura he simply faints after losing its balance and reverts to original size. An easy capture comes after that. Right, Sakura uses The Wood she got from the previous chapter to initially trap it without success.

This anime and particularly Chiharu Mihara has brought to my attention that i dont see many females with two tails, or maybe some do wear their hair in said fashion but are so ugly i never notice them. I guess it’s another case of 2d>3dpd

 No.978577

Some more thoughts on the opening. I have to say it is one of the few romantic songs I truly respect. It’s from the unique perspective of a growing g irl who is clumsy about love and her newfound feelings. Most importantly, she is swept away by love. She is a virgin and honestly overwhelmed by this powerful emotion and desires for her love to be reciprocated. It’s really a poem to the love that gi rls can only experience once in their lives, when they are pure and discovering their bodies and sudden attraction to boys. Sakura would make a wonderful girlfriend.

Ep 6
Interesting spooky and a bit sad episode. It explores Sakura’s memories of her deceased mother. During a nighttime excursion prompted by a classmate's scary story, Sakura mistakenly believes she has encountered her mother's apparition in a nearby forest.
Ultimately, Sakura discovers that the apparition was merely the Illusion Clow Card, capable of taking on the form of one's desires.
While there is no battle at all, Sakura dons a cute yellow suit with shoulders pads that appear taken out from a fairy exosuit battle armor.
During her first serious encounter she is drawn to the apparition and approaches it, only to fall off a cliff and lose consciousness but midair she is rescued by the gracious hand of her real mother's ghost who intervenes just seconds before she hits the ground. She is then seen floating unconsciously into the arms of her brother's friend, who happens to be passing by.

She returns the next day, and it happens again, but this time she realizes that her real mom would never do anything to hurt her, a thought earlier introduced by her brother's friend, and as she falls off the cliff once again, she manages to break free from the illusion and uses the Fly Clow Card to safely return and capture it.

Sakura’s mom is a model and died when she was a 3 years old. This explains Sakura’s resilient and carefree and unique nature.

Feeling a bit sad that Sakura exists only in fiction. I was thinking that it'd be nice to feel her naked chest against mine.

Ep 8 Sakura rollerskating to school in the morning is always a pleasure to watch. She is so graceful!
She meets this boy that appeared in her dreams(later is revealed that her dreams foretell the future) He is a transfer student that came from china and like her collects clow cards using magic. He is rude and tries to attack her during recess insistently asking to give out the clow cards in her possession. Sakura’s brother intervenes and at first the boy takes a shaolin like stance but embarrassed after being offered some food by Sakura’s crush he leaves. The boy’s name is Ri Shaoran, from this kerbero guesses that he’s from the Li clan.

Sakura magic is explained a little. The source of her magic comes from the Clow Reed who is the master of kerberus and who descends from a british father and a chinese mother. This mix of eastern and western magic explains the origin of chinese and english language in the magic circles.
This magic usage condition is based on the magic user taking the right steps and keeping all the promises.
A magic user might not be able to create new magic. Only a few capable sorceress can do that.

The fact that Sakura was able to open the clow book in the first place means she has a magical nature because the book had a magic seal.

In this ep Tomoyo hands Sakura a suit that can be described as a maid neko outfit but useful to insulate electricity considering that’s made out of rubber.

She uses the fly card and dodges Thunder, descending at some building roof’s and using Jump to escape it going from roof to roof.

The chinese boy in a full chinese costume, joins them and uses thunder to counterattack. Thunder retaliates turning into a beast form akin a giant wolf.
Sakura thinks of using Windy but is dissuaded by the chink who suggests using the Shadow card and with that she finally seals it using the seal staff. The boy is a meanie and belittles sakura and leaves.

Overall a pretty insightful and well animated episode that felt like a jrpg, a new magical boy joining the party and working together with Sakura, and useful information regarding sakura’s magic and kerberos.

ep 9
Sakura is doubting her abilities as a cardcaptor as a result of being belittled by Shaoran. She is noticeably dispirited, and her friends are aware of this. Shaoran, who is still going to class, has a small convo with her, and he bats an eye at Sakura being able to see the future in her dreams. Their conversation is interrupted by a guy who informs Shaoran that he has class duties such as cleaning up the chalkboard.

Sakura dozes off in class; in her dream, she’s atop a building wearing a beautiful pink cape and cap. A voice calls her name. She is awakened by her teacher before anything else is learned. After class, they visit an antique shop where brooch pins catch their attention, one of them looking suspiciously similar to Sakura’s baculum. The three of them acquire one for themselves and head to Sakura’s house where they have lunch, consisting of tea and pudding—a cute girly scene. We see Rika putting on the pin, and Sakura compliments her, but she doesn’t reply. She gives a dead stare, and her entire attitude changes. The pin grows enough to be considered a weapon; Rika tries to stab Sakura with it but misses, and Sakura runs away. Outside, she continues to evade Rika’s sword attacks. Finally, Kerberos tells us of the sword card which has taken over Rika, and Sakura transforms. I think this is one of the few times where she battles using her school uniform instead of a battle suit. It’s nice as well because she is shoeless, wearing long white socks in the streets. Sakura uses her baculum to parry Rika’s sword, and Shaoran appears on the scene. He is ready to go sword-to-sword against Rika but is stopped by Sakura. At long last, Sakura uses the illusion card to portray Rika’s crush (sensei), causing her to stop dead. She uses this opportunity to karate chop the hand that’s holding the sword and captures the Clow card. Someone comes, and it’s Sakura’s crush who is around to return a compact disc. He notices Shaoran’s injured hand, which he holds, and asks if he is okay, causing Shaoran to run away in embarrassment. We move onto the next day at the library where Rika doesn’t remember anything except that she fell unconscious. Sakura lies about the whereabouts of Rika’s pin and says that she couldn’t find it, apologizing for it. In return, Sakura gives her own pin to her friend. Toya is seen outside being teased by Yukito about his sister complex when Lin shows up and tries to quarrel. Sakura joins as well to gift Yuki a box of chocolate. Lin sees this and hurries to offer him some chocolate as well. Tomoya jokes about Sakura’s new love rival who happens to be a card captor rival as well.

ep 10
At Sakura’s school, an athletic festival is underway, but suddenly flower petals start flooding the grounds.

There are adorable scenes of Sakura performing baton twirls in her cheerleader outfit, accompanied by charming music.

After her cheerleding Sakura invites Lin to lunch, and although he blushes and agrees, he appears uncomfortable and hesitant. He blushes and feels uneasy next to Sakura’s friends, leaving after interjecting to defend Yukito who he has feelings for. Following this, Sakura's father joins them, apologizing for not being there earlier to watch Sakura.

This marks the first chapter where Sakura meets Tomoyo’s okasan, who visits during the festival. There, Sakura learns that Tomoyo’s mother knew her parents, particularly her mother, Nadeshiko, who was her childhood friend. Surprisingly, Sakura discovers that her father’s relationship with her mother was that of a teacher and pupil, leading to their marriage. Sonomi resents him for this, as Nadeshiko was her closest friend. Additionally, they are related, being cousins.
During a race between the parents, the flower petals flood the school grounds to the point where movement becomes difficult. To save everyone, Sakura transforms and uses the Fly Clow card to escape. Fortunately, aided by the commotion, no one witnesses her soaring through the sky. While suspended in the air, she discovers a succubus dancing on her feet, who quickly grabs Sakura-chan’s hand and begins waltzing with her. Sakura uses the baculum to return her to her original form. This turns out to be one of the easiest clow cards to capture so far in the series.

Later, Sonomi is seen quarreling with Sakura’s dad after losing the race. She is still angry at him for the past and what she perceived as him stealing Nadeshiko from her. Sakura notices this and puts to use her newly captured card to use. She summons a few nadeshiko flowers, soothing Tomoyo’s mom and reminding her of Nadeshiko’s mellow, and clumsy and silly nature and how happy she was throughout her relationship with Sakura’s dad.

Ep 11
Insightful and cozy episode. Sakura visits Tomoyo’s house, or rather, mansion, where her friend’s mom is present and invites her for some tea. We witness Tomoyo acting like a fangirl around Sakura, showing her the battle suits (cute dresses) she has sewn and eagerly urging Sakura to wear them. Not only that, but she also has her own home cinema room where, surprise surprise, they watch the Sakura films she has collected so far.

The more we see of Sonomi and her fond remembrance of Sakura’s mom, whom she mentions frequently, the more we draw comparisons between her relationship with Sakura’s mom and her daughter Tomoyo's relationship with Sakura. She was what her daughter is for Sakura now—a big fangirl. This is evident in how nostalgic she becomes for her. The memories of the time she spent with Nadeshiko always bring a smile to Sonomi’s face, and she is full of compliments and love for her friend who passed away. We also learn that Sakura’s dad is essentially the perfect partner, his only flaw being that he has no flaws.

Through this conversation, we learn that Nadeshiko loved cherry blossoms and therefore decided to name her daughter after them, which is why Sakura is named Sakura. There’s also a Clow card capture—the Shield card. This was probably the easiest capture in the series, and it’s a card that protects things cherished by their owners. Sakura simply uses the Sword Clow card to break the shield and return it to its original form. Inside the chest is none other than the bouquet that Nadeshiko had when she got married—a bouquet of sakura.
Inside the chest, there’s also another precious item that belongs to Tomoyo. It’s the first thing that Sakura gifted her: an eraser.

We see a battle costume but Sakura doesn't wear it.

ep 12 Great mystery episode. A day trapped in a loop, with only Li and Sakura noticing, thanks to their magical nature. Li approaches Sakura during recess to inform her that he's already figured out the location of the Clow card: the school bell tower. An episode centered around the notion that déjà vu is magical makes for an excellent storyline.

This time, Sakura is wearing a battle suit again, looking sweet like a small fairy. I loved it. Her delicate shoulders and visible back, along with the cloth bands on her upper arms and neck, add to her charm. The yellow dress also features huge wings resembling those of a dragonfly.

It's fascinating to watch the slow-motion and time-reversal powers of the Clow card, preventing Sakura from entering the tower. Both Kerberos, who risks losing his game save state if the day resets, and Sakura, who wants to avoid redoing her music class record exam, are racing against time. They have a quarter of an hour before midnight resets the day.

Approaching the clock tower, the Clow card speeds up time, initiating the same day for the third time in a row. Discouraged, the usual group argues until Li joins them and suggests that TIME is fused with the clock tower, and the tactic should be to destroy it. Both Sakura and Tomoyo refuse because the tower is important for the town.

The Chinese boy plans another strategy and shares it with Sakura: "approach the clock tower without being noticed by it." Sakura sneaks up inside the tower and goes upstairs for a surprise attack on the Clow card, while Li jumps through the glass and commands her to use the SHIELD card. The group is effectively protected by the shield. Seeing this, the Clow card, in the form of an old wizard carrying a sandglass, attempts to flee, but Li stops it mid-air with the power of the thunder god. Sakura uses her magic to return it to its original form, but the Clow card falls right into Li’s hands.

Kerberos explains to Sakura that despite her sealing Time into a card, Li is the new owner because he held back the power of Time.

What I think about this development? It’s great because Li has proven to be more capable and knowledgeable when it comes to capturing cards so this Time card might be more useful in his hands.
