I'm going broke, and I really don't know how to deal with this fact. I went to 4 doctors to treat it, but none of them worked, and no matter how many medications I took, I was never able to overcome this problem. But these only caused me terrible side effects, such as fatigue, weight gain, apathy, a lot of disinterest in everything, and alopecia, but they were never able to attack the impulses. Violence never stops.
Sometimes I blame my family for raising me in such a violent environment, but then I think it's better to bury the past and look forward. But sometimes it is difficult, since it is not about the violence of 10 or 15 years ago, it is about things sometimes from less than a week ago.

I feel like an alcoholic, where instead of keeping a place free of that poison, it is offered to me in all shapes, sizes, colors and flavors.

Regaining your hair won't help you feel well being you
It might help but your real problem is crippling social anxiety
I'm miserable every now and then and trying to get my life on track
Good luck man, hope you find some happiness, whether it be (trying to) restoring your hair or finding life experiences, habits and changes of lifestyle that make you less miserable
I think to me the most helpful thing is not trying to find happiness but instead thinking of "what can I do to be less miserable"

This week I had a breakthrough and going outside without covering myself stopped scaring me. It was a natural progression that started with showing how I look now in familiar places. I might not be the prettiest, but that does not mean I have to shut myself in. Thanks for the kind words, it made the difference.

You are right. I had self-esteem issues even before I noticed I am losing my hair, this only amplified it. There are more battles to come, good luck to you too.

DHT is a normal part of the male testosterone system.
The one and only true thing that *causes* balding is having genes that make the growth cycle of your follicles sensitive to DHT presence.
Anything else is secondary to this and thus most "hair loss treatments" are but a temporary coping strategy for those attached to them.
Your body will contain DHT regardless of whether or not your experience orgasms or not even if there is fluctuation.

In contrast to TT, only FT and its metabolite dihydrotestosterone (DHT) are able to interact with the intracellular androgen receptor (AR), thereby promoting anabolic effects. In addition to testosterone, cortisol (C) also plays a decisive role in human metabolism. Cortisol is regulated by the hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal axis [7, 8]. Studies have suggested that an increase in cortisol concentration may have a negative effect on TT concentration [9–11], however, initial studies have shown a positive correlation between FT and C levels after physical exercise [11].
https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC8697462/

Regardless of whether your fap or not, as long as you have testosterone in your body part of that testo will be free testo and part of that will be DHT
So fapping or not, if you follicles are predisposed to sensitivity your hair growth cycle will slow and stop into dormancy.

There are two real options: finasteride or minoxidil.
finasteride is more aggressive and has a good chance of giving you erectile dysfunction like a 58 year old.
minoxidil is less aggressive and can be applied topically as a foam but has only about 50% chance of giving visible results in terms of regrowth
Stopping is more efficacious than trying to regrow
Minoxidil isn't being taken orally anymore due to having similar/worse side effects than fin while being less efficacious

TLDR: just shave it bro

I think rosemary is legit. I use maple holistics teatree and rosemary conditioner along with ogx rosemary mint shampoo. I used to think that I had dandruff, and I used nizoral which helped, but never fixed my issues completely. It wasn't until I switched to this brand of shampoo which is marketed for dry scalp that I realized dry scalp was my issue all along. I still use the nizoral about once a fortnight with the rationale that it will control the amount of fungus on my scalp and keep it from overpopulating and doing damage to my hair. I think the rosemary must be keeping my hairline intact because my father was almost completely bald by my age yet mine is the same as always. The broscience I read said nizoral also helps and it may or may not be independent of the effect it has on the fungus, so it could have been that too because I've used that for many years now.

I have also bought some luteolin complexed with rutin which I am hoping will help keep my hair from getting any grayer. I read a japanese study that said luteolin prevented hair greying in mice. That's good enough broscience for me to buy a $12 bottle of snake oil. I suppose I wouldn't know if it worked or not unless I took it for a while, probably a year or so. My hair has recently started accellerating it's greying but this shit isn't gonna reverse anything, just stop it from getting worse so I don't think I could observe that in a short time frame.

consider it your acceleration to wizardom. If you aren't married with children by now you are doomed.

By the way I got the same balding pattern in that pic, but it also started in the back too. And what's really annoying if you don't get frequent hair cuts you look like a clown. I've had kids call me racist despite the fact I don't shave my head so I don't look like a skinhead.

-Ketoconazol to kill the dandruff
-Diet change and fasting to start reducing the amount of accumulated acids in your body that cause latent disease (like pH misbalance in your hair natural fats, which allow the fungi to reproduce. But also in general).
-When controlled, usage of dermaroller or dermastamp. Once each 7 or 10 days, be sure the nails are 1 mm at least.
-Rosemary oil when not using dermaroller. Also urtica dioica might do (specially when taken raw and applied right onto the head, its poison is actually medicinal)

Unless killing dandruff, not much success. Beware of industrial shampoos like H&S and tap water, they are not your friends here. Also, every shit I post here, it's better when investigated by yourself.

Beware of minox and dutasteride. Hormones are sacred health to not be sacrificed for the sake of looks

Dutasteride is really working for me, and it's not expensive. I buy a 30 units blister in like 15 USD or so. Not the wizzies you've been replying to, but:
>citing Jewish owned/moderated websites as proof that Jews are the most intelligent demographic
Ok, bud. I'm not saying Jews aren't intelligent, they've certainly been crafty enough to scam, cheat, and manipulate normalfags for decades, possibly centuries at this point, but that doesn't necessarily put them at the top of the pyramid. A genius with morals will often lose out to the somewhat clever but amoral guy. Human history is basically that very story told hundreds of times over. That doesn't mean that the guys who won throughout history were the best and the brightest, just that they had no moral or ethical restrictions that made certain heinous actions 'off limits'. At any rate, unless you can pull some good, quality, verifiably correct statistics from an unbiased source in this day and age (good fucking luck, by the way) then I can't really take you at your word that Ashkenazi Jews are the smartest people in the world. Sorry, pal.

Something I've always thought of that I've NEVER heard anyone note in the history of science:
You can see all the pro-Republican scientists have a lot of "their work" published during Napoleon's reign. Then, when the monarchists come back, all of a sudden it's pro-Monarchist scientists who have a lot of "their work" published. When you dig into it, they both had the same teams and students working underneath them.
There's a lot of essentially graduate student slave labor that never get credit, that has been going on for centuries if not millenia.

I was probably about a 5/10 or 6/10 before so people generally were indifferent to me. As a balding man I'm easily 3/10 which is low enough to be a target. Better to get a wig and move to a new city so I can go back to being left alone

Though my hairline is getting worse, it's not over yet; but I feel like any haircut I have is just an attempt to de-emphasize it and delay the inevitable. I had to look inside myself to figure out why it was bothering me so much. I realised I had been lying to myself a little, and I had to stop dragging this out. Free myself. The hair had to go.
As wizards we are actually blessed to not concern ourselves with thoughts of what succubi might think about our appearance, so I'm not sure why anyone here should care about being bald or shaving their head. It was liberating when I finally bit the bullet at 30. I enjoyed the shocked expressions of my colleagues and the joking comparisons to Derek Vinyard. Now I have my sister shave my head every week and it saves me all that money and hassle involved with going to a barber.

I think a lot of people are telling on themselves in this thread with their view on balding. Perhaps my views are a little influenced by my country, where I've never heard talk of 'minoxidil' and 'finasteride'–only ever on the internet–so it honestly appears very vain and a half-step away from flying to Turkey for a hair transplant.

Embrace it, friend. Stop caring about what /they/ think.

Oh, I also like what someone else said about how this is probably going to be the kindest form of aging to you lol, so I think it's best to deal with this head-on as there's going to be a lot more coming down the line that a pill can't save you from…

Every time I leave my house to go anywhere now, it’s like 3 or 4 dudes out of 10 have their heads shaved. It’s starting to look like some secret cult. It’s funny. It truly is the combover of this generation. The way I see it, it’s just another way of hiding the receding hair. It’s not “owning it” in any way. Owning it would be to just not care and let the male pattern baldness follow its course, without a care in the world, not obsessively shaving your head every other day to hide it.
There is this weird idea that if you’re showing your scalp, you’re owning your baldness, but that’s just false. The problem was never the scalp itself, but the receding hair pattern, and shaving your head hides exactly that, pretty much.

Not throwing shade at you, wiz, just something I noticed for some time, and your post really brought it up out of me. I am balding myself, but shaving is just an extra chore. Better to have a regular haircut every six months or so and let the crown show. It’s fine. If there’s a style that I feel like is “owning it,” one’s baldness would be like pic related. No hiding the pattern, no obsessive shaving, just what it is.

I mean, if you want to shave it and you like the look, that’s all that matters, really. I’m just throwing my two cents in on this shaved head trend it's been going on for a while now.
