everytime I start to think of my bleak future I end up thinking about suicide to give my self a sense of hope that the bad things i worry about can be prevented or stopped when they happen, at this point I want to end it even if it's through painful means, because the collective suffering of me living a standard lifespan will most likely outweight the the amount of suffering I would feel by CTB'ng painfully.

I know what you mean, I find comfort in the finiteness of life. There is always a way out, an emergency exit. But somehow that draws me away from suicide. Death can wait, and it cannot be undone. The assumption that there is eternal nothingness after death is just that - an assumption. There is no way to be sure that whatever comes after death is better than life.

Could not be the case for me, my only fear is attempting suicide only to fail and then up being crippled and worse (alive)

My worst fear is that it isn't billions of years of black void after death.

It's instantly snapping into another body with no recollection of any earlier bodies, because you can't experience anything while dead.

And knowing how hostile the universe is (even most places on Earth), I dread giving up this body.
At least I was born physically healthy into a first world country.

Exactly. Once dead consciousness is gone and there's 0 time or experience and then immediately somehow somewhere a new consciousness will arise and while that new consciousness is not 'you', the identity which you are right now, it will form a new identity, a new 'I', which generally has the same conditions which you have (suffer from) right now, e.g. being conscious. So death is nothing, the state of being conscious can't be escaped from, the new consciousness might as well be you just with a memory reset.

So the new consciousness has different conditions - body, random life events, genes, family, state, criminal rate, material and psychological characteristics and so on. Suicide then is like a gambling. You could end up in a much better condition than you are right now but it could also be much worse. It needs careful observation if it's really worth the risk. That's why I would say if you can live a comfy life you better should because the alternative could be much worse thus it's better to rest for a bit before you take the new shot a life.

That's not you, that's a different self. Or otherwise, you're arguing that there is only one conscious self in the universe and we are also enjoying life as elon musk right now. Either way, there are multiple selves or points of view and it is better to snuff out the unpleasant ones early through suicide. Your message is philosophically incoherent

Doesn't matter if it's a different self. Each self has to endure the mode of being conscious, that is identical. No need for a universal consciousness. I am not Musk and don't experience life the same way as he does. But we are both conscious beings.
I said that you shouldn't rope easily because your new condition of being conscious could be much worse than the one you have now. If it is too unpleasant then go ahead and make a restart though.

Like the poster above said, the gamble of suicide making or not making sense only depends on your luck during the current round.

If you were born deformed, short, poor and in chronic pain since age 1, into a third world country, it only makes sense to get access to a handgun and reroll your character completely as soon as you can.

If you were born into a first world country, there are still plenty of conditions which can make reality unbearable and rerolling an alluring prospect even if you are materially ok.
For example being born non-neurotypical. Most non-NT have extremely low life satisfaction and are practically cut off from employment, dating, having a family, even having friends who aren't from online games.
That's why autists for one have a massive suicide rate compared to neurotypicals. They want to reroll.

Humans at the core are animals who want to do animal stuff. Cut them away from most of society long enough and ostracize them long enough, most lose the will to continue a life for the sake of more lonely video game marathons and sleeping.
