Not long ago I used to think "Roblox" was some sort off-brand legos. I would hear people say stuff like "kids love roblox" etc. and would just nod along because I also liked building stuff as a kid, but I would slightly wonder why they specified that particular "brand". It wasn't until I heard about kids getting trolled on roblox that I finally realized it was a game.
I never played online games as a kid because we didn't usually have an internet connection or even a computer, which in retrospect was probably, slightly better for my development, since it encouraged me to sometimes go outside.

I played it for a bit like 15 years ago as a kid
Then a couple years ago that I had to take care of a little cousin for a day she insisted that she wanted to play that, so I downloaded it but deleted it again once she left
It’s not really interesting for me anymore

I feel too old for it.
Like the feeling that it should be left to one of the very few remaining digital playgrounds for actual children left online.
So applying the same logic of it being a playground, as a adult what are you doing there?
Is it to build/maintain the "equipment" for the kids to enjoy (aka be a dev)?
Maybe do something with specific friends your age in a walled off section away from the children (private rooms)?
Or are you being a fucking creep lurking in the playground to intentionally interact with children?
I have no desire to interact with children online.
No ability to develop games in roblox.
And no friends of the sort to do private rooms in roblox with.
So it's just not for me, and that's ok.
Let the kids have their playground.

My nephews and nieces talked me into playing Roblox with them some years ago, at the time I was hesitant but gave in. Since then, they have gotten me to play with them on and off over the years, even into their teens. Roblox actually does have a decent number of interesting and well-made games in it's catalogue. Some are just fun novelties, and other are surprisingly in-depth, at least compared to what one might expect.
It seems like everyone's first impression of Roblox is that it's 'just for kids.' This is obviously a sensible conclusion because it's geared towards being very SFW and family-friendly. The reality is that since it's inception, it seems to have cultivated a fairly broad audience. It's still mostly young children, but even adults on Twitch and Youtube will make content centered around Roblox games. One interesting game on there called Anime Adventures (I think that's the title anyway, my nephew plays it from time to time and showed me the game) which is a tower defense game where the towers are off-brand anime characters, like Freezer instead of Frieza. For whatever reason, the game's popularity has caused it to become a profitable venture for many, and will trade rare in-game items with other player's for real money, sometimes hundreds of dollars at a time. It's not the only Roblox game to do this either. My nephew even got into it a bit and would download scripts that would allow him to set the game to play automatically and collect items/characters for him to sell at a later time, I don't know how much money he made though.
There's also a game that was popular on Steam recently, called Supermarket Simulator. I saw a bit of the gameplay and I'm fairly convinced that it's based off a popular Roblox game that I've played with my nieces and nephews years ago. Aside from that Roblox, believe it or not, is even on the New York Stock Exchange. So Roblox is bigger than many people seem to realize, and it does have some genuinely enjoyable games. That being said, I never really play it on my own.

I played it alot as a kid and later as a teen. It's really good in my opinion, although the games have become worse throughout the years. (Mostly due to the gigantic focus of creators on trying to make as much money as possible with their games at the smallest amount of effort). I still enjoy playing Survive the disasters occasionally.

>>62389>Survive the disastersI played the fun and robux-free version daily but last Thursday the owner of it made it private indefinitely because people were using it as a social hangout and there were a lot of inappropriate avatars (LGBTQueers etc)

Can't say anything, but I'd like to warn you all — ROBLOX isn't a safe and family friendly game. All of the things you're seeing is just the very tip of iceberg. There are TONS and TONS of pedophiles, nazies, etc. It sounds pretty ironic, lego nazies. Indeed, they possess a threat to the young ROBLOX community. If you'd like to know more, then watch few latest Ruben Sim videos on YouTube. Thank you.
