I'd appreciate the version history and I would enjoy the old school limewire feeling of keeping my mod node online so people can download mods I am sharing.
It also blows that Nexus requires an account. It is a major inconvenience that keeps me from playing games when I want to mod them but decide not to because I dont want the hassle of resetting my password every time I want to log in

EVERY post on that board was an energy vampire, a glownigger, a marketing or 'community manager' for EA or another company trying to sculpt public oppinion, spam, turd worlders, and just utter bullshit. There was hardly any actual game discussion there.

While I buy most games I play I don't give a shit about if someone pirates. Even most devs don't give a shit that some people pirate.
Only people who tend to get super emotional about it are publishers and wannabe industry shills.

Any time you actually tried to actually discuss stuff in a non-inflammatory way there the thread would fall off page 10 in less than 20 minutes or if the thread didn't fall off it would be spammed by nonsense to the point that no discussion could take place.
It got to the point that it was actually easier to talk about games on /b/ or /trash/ then on /v/.

>>62711Im uninstalling it now. I dont feel anything new than the original oblivion with a fancy texture pack. The water reflections are broken and i see other people saying the same on steam forums. As soon as i got out of the sewers i saw a weird cluster of 5 deer stuck together. It's badly optimised: i have a 3080 gpu and can barely get 50 FPS on medium settings with DLSS. Most new games run better than this. I'd actually rather play the original i think, would have more nostalgia value which is the only thing going for it.
>>62719I mentioned that i was pirating only because there were weird child-like posts talking about its price. It's always been wizchan culture to pirate games but refugees are bringing in some weird different view of it that i dont even understand

https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivionremastered/mods/79?tab=descriptionEpic should leave default UE5 values to blank to force devs to learn how to use it, but I guess that's bad for business, especially if UE5 is a hodgepodge of shit which is most likely is.

If they actually took the time to improve some of the systems and mechanics, it would at least be worth a second thought, but this is just underwhelming and unnecessary. There's nothing this team has done that hasn't already been done better with mods in Oblivion/Skyrim. I want to say that the only people who would even bother to buy this are twitch streamers and youtubers who are just trying to churn out content, but unfortunately there are probably a considerable number of idiots who payed the $50USD for this bloated reskin, thinking that it would offer anything worthy of the asking price.

>>62739That's literally the bare minimum you can do for a remaster. They clearly just loaded them into UE5 and did some minor tweaks. They didn't start from scratch for each of the models. That's why it looks almost exactly the same. Name one way they could have done a remaster with lower effort. I'll wait.
No.62741
>>62740No, the issue is they named this game wrong. It's not exactly a remaster it's more of a remake.
They tweaked the leveling system to fix the scaling issue by combining Oblivion and Skyrims leveling. They added somethings like sprint. Theres more besides, lots of immersion tweaks and who knows what else i havent seen a full list yet.
The basic "game" is all the same. Also imo the idea they combined creation engine and ue5 is wrong. What i think they did is they fed bethesdas spaghetti code to ue5 than used ai to patch it.
I floated this idea years ago, then i noticed some modders started doing it with automated software.
I guess Beth and Virtuous found this out and used ai to make it happen.

I watched a streamer and the game became essentially unplayable around level 20 so he stopped sleeping. The only difference is that you can add more attribute points with each level up, which means you can max the important ones to 100 way too early. Just some basic bitch mountains, not even fantasy other than the stray giant here or there.
