It's a story that is a complete one on its own, but the Ojamaji Doremi anime happens to be the initiator for the plotpoints and the emotional driver for the cast. The movie was a light love story and summer break adventure film aimed at college succubi. It deals lightly with relationship issues but doesn't hit hard where it could of, opting to focus on the succubi's confident and campy gal power and how they help each other on to the path that they all want to follow. Ojamajo Doremi only comes in to play as the reason they all become friends.
Doesn't add anything new if you're itching for more Doremi, and not a standout film by any means. Would recommend as light watching if you enjoyed Doremi and would like more of the same comedy, but the film isn't made for old virgin men like us so there won't be much to relate to, except… If you're a true waifufriend (of any 2d), you'll find inspiration in the Onpu fan's ultimatum.

The first video teaser that came out two summers ago focused entirely on the three succubi, and then when the movie released last year, the guys at Doremi-Fansubs and some /a/nons bragged about seeing the movie in Japan and gave synopsises.

It's rare when Japanese animation directors get down to Earth and discuss real problems in their works. But when they do, it's raw and artsy. Like someone already said, this is just tacky rom-com crap with the Ojamajo Doremi logo slapped on it. It's a bait-and-switch, where you think you're getting a trip down Doremi lane, but you're served dollar-bin romantic comedy trash.
