For example if I'm thirsty and want to go get something to drink, I don't need to spell it out for myself in my head. I already know and understand my own intent, so there is no need to narrate it for myself. But if I were to tell someone about it, obviously I'd have to put that intent into words.
That being said, the ability to articulate your thoughts can atrophy if unused.
So for the sake of practice, answer me this:
Do you watch or listen to talks or podcasts?
Do you consume more or less of these media and news outlets, than you used to?
