>>317556I mostly drank energy drinks as I was introduced to them by my peers at around age 12.
This developed into a long time 2x250ml cans a day habit, sometimes more.
I feel like once you abuse it to that extent it becomes a detriment. I believe I used it to cope with ADHD like symptoms, but I have yet to be diagnosed.
The energy you get from them after a while barely makes you reach "baseline" and the crash or going without is pretty bad.
I had an ER emergency for extreme bloodpressure, (age 29 now) I thought I was going to die about 5 months ago which forced me to quit. (was like 195/120 or something at the time)
It's claimed that I have recurring panic attacks now, so it happens without caffeine at times.
Still a fat fuck, but I kicked the habit and honestly I feel better for it.
I might have gone through the withdrawals more easily due to fearing for my life.
Without it my energy levels are on the low end, but consistent throughout the day for the most part.
>>319057>bad quality coffee can screw your stomach and liverI do believe I have permanent damage to my stomach, digestive system and liver. 100%, but I hope it's nothing that will kill me in the long run.
I'm in the process of getting it figured out, but yeah don't do what I did obviously.
>>319059I just my anecdotal experience. I think energy drinks are the same as "bad quality coffee", you get synthetic shit mixed with all kinds of chemicals. (Instant coffees for example are the same.)
Caused GERD, ulcers, random allergies as a result of murdering my gut and my liver values are shot too.
For the most part this was the only difference in consumption between me close family.
Wizards often claim anhedonia and I feel like mine got a lot less severe after dropping caffeine. Usually I needed a drink just to lift the veil for a little while.
Now it's still there, but to a lesser extent.
In conclusion, diet and exercise might really be the solution to most of my issues.
