Honestly porn addiction is something that's made me get online friends. Gooning is functionally like a drug habit, and the thing about drug buddies is they always have their druggie friends they hang out with.
Even when I ghost everyone, within two weeks I have a new friend I picked up from a coomer server on discord from sharing pics. These friendships can last like two years, and after the first 3 months we don't really do the gooning shit anymore as it's too awkward.
I'm a hot mess in real life but I seem to effortlessly make online contacts without even setting out to.

i did this when i was younger a bit but in general people are not worth being around. in a world under such inferior hostile management everyone is just looking to profit off everyone around so realistically all you are missing is people trying to gain more from you then they give you. everything genuine human social interaction is perverted and everyone is just trampling each other trying to get others to agree to bad deals.

It helps to avoid any media that involves friendships. Anime and kids cartoons are notorious for this sort of propaganda. It affects anyone even if they're aware of it. Single player games that aren't story focused generally don't have that issue.

I also have empty steam friends list essentially. It's probably social ignorance for me more than anxiety. I observe discord groups for guilds in mmos and there's all this madness going on and these cliques and established people with their strange hierarchies led by histrionic types. I think is it really worth the effort to try to relate to this alien soup? So far it has not been. I have been my whole life constantly disappointed by people.
