Like, all I have to do to get rid of my problems and get eternal peace is basically to purchase a rope, find a good place to hang on and a chair, jump and just end it like that?
it sounds way too good and easy to be true.

 No.320040

You won't be able to comprehend that peace, but basically yes, it is one guarantee that immediate observation yields. There are many possible arguments against the extensiveness of immediate observation, but those are not backed by anything more than Murphy law, essentially.

>"eternal peace"
no such thing otherwise you and I and everyone else who has a shitty life wouldnt even exist.
who would trade eternal peace for a piece of shit life here on earth surrounded by the most annoying subhumans imaginable?
this must mean that this whole life cycle thing is not voluntarily.
and since everything is a cycle and you cant comprehend or experience "nothingness" you probably "respawn" somewhere else or basically what actually happens is your point of view shifts.

thats the real problem with suicide, you check out and you take a big gamble.
next life could be better or worse but seeing how there is more losers than winners its kinda obvious the game is stacked against you.

 No.320042

This entire chain of thought is predicated on equating something not being voluntary or deliberate to it being a cycle.

Vast majority of Suicide attempts fail for a reason.

Experience what? More drudgery and toiling so people born rich can get even richer off your back?

 No.320051

Suicide is definitely not the way to find eternal peace. The whole dying process should come naturally, not forced by your own hand.
I figure I will go when the time comes, not on a whim. This is the way.

 No.320075

I Bigly disagree.

I think we should have the humane means and right to end life in our own accord, I don't like the idea of keeping living while suffering heavily both mentally and physically, sound like a torture, we should have right to be free using the least painful and most humane way.

 No.320363

>>320038
you talk like it's easy lol
it's very hard to counteract your biological tendency to survive

 No.320368

Sounds like a great subject to bring up in one of the many suicide threads made on the board where whining about life is to be contained.

 No.320369

Just follow what you love, no matter what that means. Ignore what the outside world wants or expects, even logic.

 No.320374

> Just follow what you love
I don't love anything. Everything is emptiness.

Ok but short drop you'll be in pain of strangulation and find a way to abort it. And what if you feel that subjectively as eternity in your final microsecond?

Long drop, if you place the knot in the ring place you end up with a short drop slow strangulation in pain

 No.320465

your conscious will be stuck at the moment of existing. Painful, I guess.

the metaphysics behind it: good luck entering a dream and remembering it.
