Conforming to a socially agreed upon idea of what a nonconformist is, is itself conformism to the status quo. OP wants to know what he has to do to fit in, albeit fit in to a niche that itself retains that it must integrate in to the whole of society like any other college-safe archetype, as to avoid consequence enough to continue being permitted within that society.
