I’m trying to quit vaping nicotine, and I’ve been using nicotine lozenges to help manage the cravings and withdrawal. I didn’t expect vaping to affect me the way it did, but over time it started causing noticeable anhedonia and increased anxiety. Things I used to enjoy felt flat, and my baseline stress level just kept creeping up, which was honestly exhausting. That’s what pushed me to take quitting more seriously instead of brushing it off.

I’m still figuring things out and adjusting as I go, but I’m curious about other people’s experiences. Have you noticed mental health changes from vaping or smoking nicotine, either positive or negative? Do you vape, smoke, or use any nicotine replacements, and how has that worked out for you?

Why did you start i the first place?

I would say I'm a very light smoker. I only buy a pack once every couple months. Maybe I haven't built up enough of a tolerance to it, but I rarely find myself thinking about it. Even going outside for me is a chore. Not everyone has an addictive personality and even if they do nicotine may not be *their* drug. My father was able to quit smoking relatively easily compared to many people.
