From, I started to skip through episodes when certain characters appeared and then I dropped it
I just stick to watching anime now (pre 2020s anime)

>nobody told me The walking dead was so lame
Everyone on the biggest imageboards' /tv/ boards have been explaining in great detail and with great frequency the extent to which The Walking Dead is worse than walking in dog shit. How they would rather watch themselves walk off a cliff to be dead than watch the walking dead.

>>325190Was peer pressured to watching WWE after getting out during the Super Cena era. Main roster to be precise. The storylines were shit. The characters were tolerable at best. How the live crowds were into it I have dick-all idea…shit was just ass.

Even modern anime is infected by the Thing, I don't even know what to call it, but everything owned or funded by blackrock turns into total soulless slop

>>325205And even the way to acquire it is fucked. Sony's making it worse to acquire physical shit by locking it behind their Crunchyroll higher monthly tier paywall. It's utterly retarded.

I also remember when I watched the Wizchan HBO series adaptation, episode 12 of season 5 when Wizchan Admin says "We are the ones who carry the magic within us, adept virgins who've mastered sexual transmutation and gained esoteric knowledge no normalfag could conceive. We won't fall under temptation. We've disregarded the succubi for 30 years. We are the Wizchan.2019.1080p.WEBRip.x264-[YTS.LT]"
It was so epic. One of the greatest moments in television history.

I've realized that certain media just has an expiration date. I loved TWD when I was younger, but trying to re-watch it and the spin-offs, it seems like pretty bad TV compared to stuff that comes out now. Same thing happened to me with anime, at some point you're developed enough to recognize how cringe and stupid it is, your tastes change and you can no longer enjoy it. Doesn't necessarily mean it was always bad, it's just that (You) are not the target demographic anymore.

iCarly, Hannah Montanah and other Disney garbage with canned laughter that I often had to watch because of frequent family gatherings where female cousins took hold of the remote and my parents wouldn't let me fuck off somewhere else. Other than that I don't consume a piece of media if I don't like it or I feel that I won't like it, doesn't matter if a bunch of people on the Internet say that you MUST watch/play/read it. If after the hype fades away the thing completely disappears from collective memory it means I was right, if it's still relevant or develops a niche following I reconsider giving it a chance, until then I can wait.
Will anyone remember animes like My Deer Friend Nokotan, tv shows like The Walking Dead, movies like Avatar 2&3, the books of George rr martin or videogames like Cyberpunk 2077 in the future? Not if they will remain relevant, but if anyone will even bother to remember them as a hidden gem that used to be popular, instead of shit that was popular for astroturfing or viral memes.

>>325258iCarly is kind of fun tbh especially as a kid. Also, the chicks Miranda Cosgrove and Jennette mccurdy are pleasant to watch and their characters have actual personalities.

>>325370uh yeah except they painted the white biker dude as racist and inherently evil and had him ridiculed while chained on a rooftop like an animal way before season 4, it all happened in season 1. plus there was that gay exploitative scene about a guy who'd beat his wife or whatever up and he also got humiliated early on. anyway I figured this show is an icky piece of shit fairly quickly and never watched it since, it sucks
