it seems like consumer goods are getting worse but i think that's wrong. they should be getting better.

when i say wrong, what i mean is that the active underlying principle is automatic improvement. you do something, you get better at it. if you did it again, it would be better then what you did the first time. it is harder not to get better then to get better when you repeatedly do something.

how come so many things get worse then? i guess you can tell whether an industry is a monopoly and not a market of competition by it's lack of improvement. when they get more expensive and worse at the same time, that is conspiracy against the consumer.

they could make amazing cars that are optimized for accessible repairability for 5000€ new with repairparts that are optimized for cheap production, long life and ease of replacement. but they can't make it in a way where somebody gets rich in the process so they want this system of you being their rent slave and you have to sign the slave contract.

at the same time the act of creating excellence is so soulcrushingly difficult, nobody can do it for long even if it did not attracts so much unwanted attention. when you dare to be creative as a person, rest assured a wave of negative attention is heading your way. the same way gravity gnaws at you all day, when you step into the arena and dare to manifest then this constant unwanted attention is trying to drag you down. like a subscription to constant misfortune. i believe this is constant misfortune datacenters are playing a big role in. computer running at high speed trying to find ways to make you even sadder.

i can only see as far as my limited perception but to me it seems culture is fighting an automatic war against quality so that low-quality can exist.
