How can a wiz exercise and stay healthy?

I realize the reason I have been always sedentary is that not only I am lazy and depressive, but I am extremely shy and insecure.

I went to the gym for a couple of months when younger and I hated how sanitized, monetized and normie the environment was, I also felt really bad with how much pitful the amount of weights that I could lift was compared to everyone else.

I went in to running and cycling on and off for years, but never went very far, the best places in public (parks and best roads) are full of normies, I felt bad sometimes for performing worse than others, like when I was almost dying on my bike to make a couple of steep kilometers and normies would pass by smiling like it was nothing and would look at me very smugly.

I am probably thinking too much of it, but still, I kind of want to go back to doing walks and running, but I live in a very small town and for some reason I dread meeting some people I know (like fit coworkers/family members and certain succubi) while outside. Maybe I should try some home exercises?

 No.219543

try going out very early in the morning to run, do body weight exercises or buy weights.

it is harder to exercise at home because you have lot more things to distract you, not enough equipment and you cannot get into mood easily. but all of them can be overcame with dedication.

The ol' fashioned way: manual labor.

Get a pull-up bar and gymnastic rings if you have space.

>I also felt really bad with how much pitful the amount of weights that I could lift was compared to everyone else.
Most people at the gym
- have been working out much longer than you
- have physically-demanding jobs
- are only PRETENDING to lift heavy weights because they believe it will get them laid by everyone and their dog (NOT a concern for a WIZARD!!!)

Obese guys will start with higher weight than skinny guys because their muscles have been honed by hauling all of that fat around. Young guys have excess testosterone to get them through those extra reps. Old guys have seasoned vascularity to keep their muscles fed and hydrated during exertion. If you're not any of those types of guys, then lucky you, you're working with a body that's able to explode in terms of strength, endurance, and overall health. It doesn't matter how much weight you're starting with, so long as you take it to failure frequently and make sure to stay hydrated while ingesting enough protein. You'll easily double your starting weight in all exercises within a few short months. Every sleep after a hard workout or run will be much deeper, every meal tastier, every succubus more easy to shove away. A wizard (or any man) owes it to himself to keep training in some capacity. Train hard so you can live easy.

>pull-up bar and gymnastic rings
Awful. What is your basis for this suggestion? SO you can go to /dep/ and tell him to hang himself with it like the death cultists around her often do? It doesn't matter how lean he is, he's not going to be doing body-ups or even pull ups without his grip failing before he's sore in the few muscles that can be worked with those things. An inexpensive set of resistance bands and a solid pair of running shoes will bring him much further.

Then everyone who has ever hated you, wished for you to fail, or laughed at your insecurity has won this round.

Don't let them keep winning. Exercise. Grow. Outlift, outperform, and outlive them all. If you chose to fly with broken wings, then your victories will be well earned. One way or another, become victorious.

why do you care about what such filth thinks?

it's always strange for me to see posts like this. I feel strong anxiety and cannot understand, besides normies of course, how other people don't. do you really can go out in public and can do whatever you want without being affected by what other people think?

 No.219563

these normies don't care about me, so why should I care about them? Don't let trash like these have such control over you. Normies tend to
>step on those below them to boost their own ego
>drag down others who do better than them to not feel inferior
>think rights like freedom of speech should only server them, will disrespect and violate others rights
>talk shit about people behind their backs, but get angry if they find out people have been doing the same to them
>Say they believe in meritocracy, but when they are not one of the best they will cheat their way to be one of the winners
Do you really think it's worth to put value on opinions from people like this?

Good for them I guess.

Those sound just a bunch of empty platitudes, thank you for your effort anon, but this kind of motivational speech doesn't work on me. I am not going through some exhaustive commitment just to prove something for some boogeyman or to feel like I a hero of some epic movie, "outlift, outperfoming, outliving them all". I just want to do something very basic to stay healthy, I don't want to impress or to compete with anyone.

I feel anxiety like >>219558 in certain situations, some people make me uncomfortable, the way they look, their reactions, I don't like them and I want to stay away from them. I don't know how someone can just shrug it off like that.

I personally do mostly calisthenics at home. Occasionally walk/cycle. My brother had bought some workout gear (bench press, dumbbells) a decade ago and I use those sometimes. Stamina/cardio-wise I'm not the greatest, never was. For example, I can feel that I can keep going with a set but notice that my heart is about to explode if I continue.

More of that you feel vulnerable, if you get yourself some muscle and look somewhat muscular, that is enough to deterrence most people. simply because people will know that you will be able to hurt them if you wanted to. The feeling also goes away because you know that you are capable of retaliating should they try to mess with you.
Also you shouldn't be bothered by them judging you. they will lose their mind if you merely have a different opinion. They need validation from others to feel "right". they only hold "acceptable" opinions or whatever the mass media tells them. It's kinda hard to take people like this seriously.

I know it's not much but I work out every third day. I look at my body and determine which parts of my body need more attention. Focus the next workouts on those parts for the next month or two (but don't neglect the other muscles). For example, I used to think that I don't need to train my legs because they were already big from walking everywhere. Trained them once and couldn't walk properly for a few days. Now I include some basic exercises for legs every now and then.*

Looks very fun, but I would need to have a switch right? I don't feel like wasting money in equipment right now, for something I am not I will stick with.

>>219597
I was thinking of doing something like this, not a rigid routine, but adjusting it as I go, I just have trouble in choosing the right exercises.

For exemple, I did some sets of jumping jacks the other day, that are, I suppose, good for legs and cardio, I can go running/walks too for more cardio, those are things I enjoy, but what do I do for the rest of the body? There are tons of possible exercises and workouts out there, I am not sure what to do.

I only saw your post after making my last one. I will take a look carefully later, with more time.

Much thanks anon.
