Consider for a moment this thread. OP's argument is completely logical. For him working has no upside. His parents are wealthy enough that there is also no downside for them to supporting him. Logically then it makes much more sense for them to continue to support him, but if you look at the responses, people literally treat him as if he is some sort of criminal for simply wanting to maximize his own happiness.

This all boils down to the fact that people in this instance arrive at their conclusion not through logic, but rather through instincts that have evolved and been broadly passed down through the group. In this case there is a mismatch between the current societal conditions and the conditions that lead to the instinct evolving.

For most of human history human society could simply not afford to support dead weight. It's obvious how a group could be dragged down by the attempt to do so. People who had the instinct to not try and support these leeches therefore ended up doing better and over time this instinct became wildely exhibited. It doesn't matter that things have changed since the industrial revolution. Because these things are decided by instinct not logic, pointing those things out will not change people's minds.

You can remind them that actually there aren't even enough jobs to go around, not that everyone is constantly working and we can't get enough stuff done to meet people's needs. It's literally the opposite now, but people still react as if it is a personal moral failing to not have a job.

This same dynamic can be observed in many different examples. Most of the problems of modern day society stem from normalfag's inability to realize when their thoughts are being driven by irrational instincts. I'm tired of living in a world run by such cattle. Reading threads like this just make me want to neck myself.

Evolution is driven by game theory. Whatever ends up working gets passed down. This cold and simple logic actually makes it fairly easy to figure shit out. If you want to know why some group of normies is acting irrationally, the answer can pretty much always be answered by asking yourself, how would these cultural attitudes have been beneficial to the group in pre-industrial society.

For example let's take hatred of homosexuality. Using logic, there is no reason for this. Being gay doesn't hurt anyone. But, in pre-industrial society, keeping the birth rates up was actually critical to most societies. Having more guys than the next group so you can fight them off is actually extremely important. They also had lots of deaths because modern technology didn't exist. So therefore, anything that threatened birth rates would be actually a real threat, and in response people have developed an instinct to hate homosexuality.

Instincts manifest as a feeling that you know what the right answer to something is without even thinking about it because it seems obvious. People know being gay is wrong because it just feels that way to them. The logical processing parts of the brain then work backwards to come up with reasons to support why the conclusion is correct, but since the logic is not actually the driving force, many of these explanations are weak and nonsensical.

Homosexuals are hypersexual and rapidly spread STDs and fecal infections through gay sex. Their self-destructive health habits make them a burden unto the medical system and a danger to share spaces with. They're significantly more likely to be the pedophiles who end up raping children, and they purposely confuse and frighten children with their behavior. They purchase surrogate baby boys to rape. Their unchecked mental emotional instability makes them violent. They're incredibly annoying, have massive victim complexes, and their influence on the arts to appeal to their own (tribe) reduces the quality of that art for everyone else.

It's highly likely that spreading disease is actually one of the factors behind the reason why the instinct has developed. You can tell this because hatred and disgust against male on male homosexuality is much worse than female on female homosexuality. The former spreads much more disease than the latter. This explains why there is a stronger instinctive feeling of disgust towards it. If we use logic rather than instinct to examine the issue, we can accurately pick out spreading disease as a negative consequence of homosexuality, but that doesn't mean normalfags don't continue to act irrational about it.

Rationally speaking if you realize this is the true problem you would want to address that. You would be teaching everyone to wear a condom if they want to have buttsex. You would also realize that the actual issue is buttsex itself rather than homosexuality. You would realize that this applies equally to buttsex between 2 men and a man and a succubus. You would realize that homosexuality is only correlated with the true root cause of the issue, not the root cause of the issue itself. But of course, people fail to do all this because again they are just acting on instinct which tells them they should hate the gays.

Interestingly the same sort of prejudice against buttsex also exists (or used to) in society. It has always been a taboo, and for good reason. It's likely it just didn't get as much pushback because it is only a single issue, whereas homosexuality causes two issues, population decline and spread of disease.

You would know this if your views on gays were informed by the actual data, but that's not how it works. People just instinctively end up hating gays and then going to look for reasons to support it as you just did. They will look for flimsy and wrong reasons that aren't actually supported by evidence because they are just trying to confirm what the instinct is already telling them is the correct answer. It's basically just the lowest way to think and function as a human being, and also sadly by far the most common.

If someone's views on circumcision were fueled only by "the actual data", they would probably only regard the act as a harmless measure to eliminate 5 seconds from every shower. If their opinions were fueled by the actual, real, genuine data, they'd know that circumcision is a sexual torture ritual that permanently inhibits the brain development of every baby boy it is inflicted upon. But this actual real data is always blocked from being published because it may make the tortureres look bad, so "the actual data" persists as the "only" data. This meddling with research occurs in every area of sexual abuse, so for you to defend homosexuals as "less rapey than the majority perceive them to be" is truly ignorant. You filthy faggot.
